Marlo was such a pleasure to work with! She is warm, personable, and professional, making you feel at ease from trial to the big day. She made me feel beautiful and did a phenomenal job with my wedding make up. She is attentive to detail and receptive to any changes or suggestions you may have for your make up look. My whole bridal party could not stop raving about how wonderful she and Alycia did with everyone’s make up look. I would hire her again in a heartbeat and if I could give 10 stars, I would! The best!

Marlo was the best!! I do not typically wear a lot of makeup so I did not want to go overboard with my look, but I still wanted to feel like a bride. Marlo nailed it and I was so happy with how my makeup turned out - an "elevated" version of myself. My mom, MIL, and bridesmaids were also so happy with the process. Marlo was super helpful when we realized we needed a second artist to make sure we stuck to our day-of timeline, and everything ran so smoothly. Definitely recommend!!

I recently got married. I found Marlo through the Knot. She was great to communicate with and super friendly. She was wonderful to work with during makeup trials for myself, and some of my family members. She listened well to what I was looking for on my adult bridesmaids and my junior bridesmaids. The day of the wedding Marlo and Meghan, who does hair, were both on time at the location to get ready and they both moved the girls right along one after the other and kept to the timeline that they had. I would highly recommend using Marlo and Meghan for your beauty needs at any upcoming weddings/ events. I even had other vendors ask about them and how impressed they were by keeping to a tight timeline.

I absolutely loved working with Marlo for my wedding! She is so so sweet and will put you immediately at ease if you're not entirely sure how to describe what kind of look you want. I wanted a "natural" wedding look since I'm not a regular makeup wearer and she absolutely nailed it. My makeup looked so great all night long and I felt so beautiful while still feeling like I looked like me. She did a beautiful job for my bridesmaids, mom and groom's mom as well. "Getting ready" is such a long morning, all while getting anxious anticipating the wedding and Marlo was such a cool, calm presence to have with us. Thank you, Marlo! :)

I discovered Makeup by Marlo at a preferred vendor event at our wedding venue. I met Marlo, the makeup artist, and Meghan, the hair stylist, and instantly was drawn to their kind personalities. I hired them for my original wedding date in January 2021, but with concerns over the pandemic, we opted to move our wedding up to October 2020 in order to have a safer and smaller event outdoors. Marlo and Meghan were flexible and happy to accommodate our new date on very short notice. On the day of our event, Marlo and Meghan adhered to all state mandated guidelines, with masks and sanitizers, to make sure everything was clean and safe. We felt very comfortable with their clear protocols, which they shared with us ahead of the event. Their work, both in hair and makeup, was beyond stunning. They did the hair and makeup for eight women and they were well-organized and timely; they finished right on schedule. Meghan was able to look at an inspiration photo one time and recreate the look flawlessly. She did braids for my nieces, up-dos with accessories, blow-outs, and more. She executed each style perfectly; it was extremely impressive. Marlo is a true makeup artist. Many of the women, myself included, do not wear a lot of makeup, so we fully trusted Marlo to create the perfect look. The makeup she used was lightweight and safe for sensitive skin. I have never felt more beautiful. AND THE LASHES...WOW! I wish I could have her do my makeup daily; she's a magician. I really can't recommend these women enough. We all felt incredibly beautiful because of their work. I look forward to the next time I need fancy hair and makeup just so I can book with them again!

Marlo was awesome to work with! She was recommended to me by a couple of people (who also loved her as well) she came to my hotel, set up shop, and was so easy going with everyone who got make up done. I wanted something a little different than my trial and she did an amazing job! I had a bad experience with another company, and explained to Marlo that I wanted my make up to last all night (as my other trial with the other company didn’t) and she ensured me that wouldn’t be a problem! Make up stayed on all day and night and through the happy tears! Book Make up by Marlo, you won’t regret it!!!

knew I wanted Marlo to do my makeup from the second I got engaged. I’ve been in many weddings and one of my best friends used her-- I’ve never felt prettier so I reached out immediately. Marlo was responsive and always communicated, effectively and efficiently. She had no problem traveling to Rhode Island and starting at 8 AM. She did 8 bridesmaids and my mom in 5 hours (with no issues)! Marlo is very calming and relaxing, and on a day with high anxiety, that is SO important. All of my bridesmaid said they have never felt prettier and everyone was thrilled with how they looked. She uses airbrush and lashes. Not one person looked like they had too much makeup on. Marlo highlighted my features perfectly and gave a natural look with some glam. She can do anything you want – she’s so talented. She took pictures of me during my trial and used that for reference. Six months before my wedding, I sent her an email asking how to improve my skin and recommended face products. She wrote me a lengthy email explaining tips, tricks, suggestions and best products. It was SO sweet and she didn’t have to do that! She truly cares about making you the most beautiful on your day and it is deeply appreciated. I would use Marlo 100X over again! I recommend Marlo to all my friends and telling them what a great job she did!

I can’t rave more about Marlo as a person, as an esthetician, and as my make-up artist for my wedding. She was just perfect! As someone who has sensitive skin, especially on my face, and a specific vision for how I wanted my vision done, Marlo was just perfect. She listened to every detail and thought I had and took any feedback (although I didn’t have much) as a complete professional. I must have cried at least 3 times during my wedding morning just as she was tying to finish my makeup and the entire time , she was so patient, kind, understanding and even managed to make it look like I hadn’t cried at all - (not sure how she did that!!). Marlo came to a private home to do the makeup. She recommended a hair stylist who came with her. I wanted a more natural look and the result was absolutely stunning. She also did the make up for my mom and was accommodating to my mom hopping up and out of the chair a few times to take care of last minute details.

I worked with Marlo for my wedding in June this year. She was so sweet and easy to work with. I felt like she really listened to what I wanted, even after I had made some changes after my trial. We all felt like rock stars that day!

I got married at Willowdale Estate earlier this year, and cannot thank Marlo and Meghan enough for making our day perfect! I had a hair and makeup trial about a month before at a salon, and once we'd finalized the look they took great photos for us to reference. Before the wedding, Marlo sent really helpful tips, and stayed in touch with me the whole time. I can't imagine working with anyone better on the day of. Marlo and Meghan fit in with the bridal party seamlessly, and helped in every way possible. They are true experts in their fields and knew how to make us look amazing AND laugh - what more could a bride ask for? Marlo made our makeup look flawless, and Meghan was kind enough to stay through the ceremony to allow me to put my hair up (how I feel most comfortable). Thank you SO much, Marlo and Meghan! Working with Marlo and Meghan was a wonderful experience. I had two hair and makeup trials with them and booked them for my wedding. They are both extremely talented and such a pleasure to be around. 12 of us had our hair and makeup done by their team of 4 people and all the hair and makeup came out wonderfully. Marlo was absolutely amazing. Her makeup, including airbrush, looks natural and enhances your natural beauty. All of my bridesmaids loved her and said she was the best makeup artists they had worked with at any wedding (a lot of weddings...). She came on site and had everything ready to go before we arrived. Did I mention how sweet she is--very important on your wedding day while you're nervous! Highly recommended! Marlo partnered with Meghan for hair, and they are the perfect pair. Meghan helped me select my bridal hair, and I ended up going with one of her suggestions. She also listened to me and my bridesmaids when we described the types and size of curls we wanted, and executed beautifully. She's so talented!

Marlo was an absolute miracle on my wedding day. She came to my parents' house and got 10 women, including myself, done with makeup in under 5 hours. We were done so early with hair and makeup that we literally just got to relax for an hour at home. My cousin recommended Marlo to me and I am SO glad that she did. Marlo will now be our go-to girl for skincare and makeup. Every one of us were so happy with how our makeup came out that day that everyone was smiling and glowing all day/night long. Marlo included airbrushing and false eyelashes as a part of her fee which is unheard of! She really wants to make her clients look gorgeous and knows that something like airbrushing is going to do that. My makeup as the bride felt light and never faded or got shiny at all, even through a long night of dancing in the Summer heat! My false eyelashes also were the lightest that I had ever worn - Marlo's application of them was perfect and unlike other times, I had no idea they were even on. Marlo is so nice and very professional. Her pricing was competitive and I heard good things about her work. I had to do two trials with her and still wasn't fully in love with my makeup but figured it'd work out. The day of my wedding was a little challenging, wasn't looking great, very very heavy on the face makeup, I had to retouch some things including my brows. I didn't feel like it brought out the best of me and the feedback from my bridesmaids were the same. My bridesmaids looked gorgeous, very natural looking, some I think could've used a little more but overall good work.

Marlo is best in class! She did my makeup for the first time for my friends wedding and then I was hooked. She then did my engagement shoot makeup, wedding trial and wedding day. Marlo was amazing. I was seriously over the moon with my wedding makeup. I had given birth to a preemie 9 days before the big day. I didn't think I could be made to look like I wasn't completely exhausted but she worked magic. I felt that I looked like myself but better.

Marlo was incredible to work with from start to finish. From scheduling a trial, to answering skin questions leading up to the wedding, and of course making me and my bridal party look flawless on the big day! She was so flexible and accommodating. I had trials with 2 separate artists before meeting Marlo, and both trials failed miserably. Marlo was truly a breath of fresh air. Marlo came to my home for my trial, which we scheduled for the same day as our engagement shoot. On our wedding day, she did makeup for me, 3 BMs, 2 Moms, and my G'Ma all by herself. Our group of 7 had a wide variety of personalities and tastes, but every single one of the ladies from my G'Ma to my 25 yo sister loved the work Marlo did and her personality. I got separate thank yous from each one of the ladies for having hired Marlo. She was that good. Seriously - my 82 yo Dominican grandmother and 59 yo Dominican mom are ridiculously tough critics. Marlo is professional, personable, sweet, knowledgeable and experienced. She even helped calm my nerves as I practiced my vows for the last few times in her chair. I could not be happier with how my makeup turned out for our engagement photos and on our wedding day. Everyone looked gorgeous and felt beautiful. Thank you so so much!!
