In preparation for my vacation wedding this summer in San Diego, I recently had my makeup done by Nancyj.  When it came to choosing my vendors for the big day, Nancy was my first choice when I was seeking for a beauty artist. When I was in town for wedding planning, I made the excellent choice to schedule a trial with Nancy before my wedding in order to talk about possibilities for the day and to get to know her before the big event. Nancy conducted herself with professionalism the entire day and was understanding of everyone's needs. Our makeup was flawless and stayed in place all day and night. I definitely recommend Nancy if you're looking for a makeup artist for your wedding day; you won't be sorry:)

I am so glad that I chose Nancy to do my makeup the day of my wedding. She is amazing and makes you look and feel so so beautiful! A few months before our wedding, I had a trial with Nancy where I showed her some ideas of the look I was thinking about. She gave me exactly what I showed her and I loved the look. I can’t even begin to describe how incredible Nancy & Lindsey were in beautifying up my bridesmaids, MIL, Mom, and I. After years of experience they really knew what they were doing on the day of. I had a make up trial with Nancy done about four months before my wedding day and my indecisiveness made me a bit worried about how it’s end up looking on the actual day if im being honest. Nancy was so patient and so reassuring that even when I had to change up my trial look a couple of times, she didn’t even blink an eye. She has so much product knowledge and knows how to make adjustments based on what you’re working with and also have recommendations for products you use at home that she has in her kit. On the day-of, her and her 2nd artist Lindsey, were on time and ready to rock in a matter of minutes. I felt like the most beautiful person on my special day. Glowy, glam makeup for a magical day! All of my bridesmaids loved how their make up turned out and quote “felt like princesses” lol 😂 my mom and my MIL really loved theirs too! All looks did not budge throughout the entire night. I reapplied with my own lipstick a couple of times, but that’s about it. I may or may not have also fallen asleep with a full face of makeup and STILL LOOKED GOOD THE NEXT MORNING. That stage setting spray Nancy has is *chefs kiss*! All in all would recommend to every bride!!

Nancy was an absolute dream to work with. She has an amazing eye for makeup, and she listens to exactly what you want and makes it come to life. I booked a trial with Nancy, for my wedding, and after the trial I immediately knew I wanted her to do my makeup for my big day. My makeup was exactly what I asked her to do, a light pink romantic look that wasn’t overly done or caked on. My makeup felt fresh, I barely felt like I was wearing any, and I looked/felt amazing all day! I felt very confident in how I looked thanks to Nancy. The makeup lasted, through the day and night, and the eyelashes she used are amazing. My bridesmaids and my mom were all extremely happy with it as well! I seriously cannot give her enough praise.

Nancy was just fantastic! She is so good at what she does and she never forces any look on you that you are not comfortable with. She was easy to get in touch with and had such quick responses. Nancy did an amazing job on my makeup for my big day. She arrived early to set up for our schedule and made sure to finish all my bridesmaids and my make-up and touch-ups right on time. We did not have to worry about being late for our first look. My bridesmaids and I were so happy with how our makeup looked throughout the day. Even throughout crying through vows and through the day, my makeup stayed on point. Nancy also made the experience fun and helped make some TikToks while getting ready! I truly enjoyed working with Nancy and the other makeup artist she brought to complete the makeup for the day. Both of them were very professional and did our makeup exactly how we wanted. Nancy was easy to talk to and get along with and I would definitely use her services again in the future! I had my ceremony and reception on different days and Nancy did my makeup for both days. I had a clear vision for both events and she nailed it both of them! Nancy was so wonderful to work with for my wedding! She did my makeup, all of my bridesmaids, and both the mother of the bride and mother of the groom for our wedding! Everyone’s make up looked amazing and lasted the whole night!! Loved my makeup trial with her, and we both agreed on some changes together when she arrived for my wedding day, which turned out absolutely perfect! I wholeheartedly recommend Nancy for anyone's makeup artist on their special day. She is so absolutely sweet and welcoming, even with all of my questions and indecisiveness with what final look I wanted. I've never had an issue with communications with her throughout the wedding planning process (you'll find out how some vendors will take forever to contact you back or never will). She's the only person I'll ever have confidence with to work on my thick hooded small eyes as well. She did my makeup trial, my makeup for my engagement session, and an eye makeup trial (because I couldn't decide what colors I wanted on my eyes and if I wanted to do false lashes or eyelash extensions... see what she had to deal with?) prior to the wedding. On the actual wedding day, she was on time and ready to work and I didn't have to worry about her timeliness. All of my girls wanted different looks (natural to full glam), and she and her assistant makeup artist killed each look. A couple days before the wedding, I was so determined to squeeze this new super dark blackhead on my cheek -> turned out to be a new mole and I made a big scratch on my face trying to cut it out haha. Nancy did a fantastic job covering up that scar along with my other imperfections I was insecure about. I was so stressed about the wedding that I got sick (not COVID) and I definitely looked how I felt, but she still made me look AMAZING. Plus, she kept giving me morale support throughout the morning getting ready, which I greatly appreciated. I don't think I'm normally a good-looking person, but I look back constantly at my wedding photos because I looked SO good, all because of Nancy and her magic. I 100% believe choosing Nancy to do my wedding makeup was one of the best choices I made for the wedding and I can't wait to find more excuses for her to do my makeup again :). I was so nervous on my wedding day but when I finally sat in Nancy’s makeup chair, I completely relaxed. She made me look and feel so pretty, polished and pampered. She’s simply the best! I highly recommend her!

My husband and I had two weddings, and I used Nancy for my makeup for both occasions. She was on-time, extremely clean, and SUPER professional. She's extremely light-handed and delicate when putting my makeup on, and I really appreciate that. I gave her a few ideas of looks I liked, but ultimately let her decide what would look best with my skin tone --and I felt absolutely gorgeous every time. I highly recommend Nancy for your big day.. Nancy is the best to work with! She was very accommodating and had the best communication. I had my wedding scheduled for May 30, 2020 and decided to keep it but limit the number of guests to just my fiancé and my immediate family. I was Nancy’s first client back from quarantine and she practiced all safety measures! She was in a mask, splash screen face cover, and wore new gloves in between doing my moms, sister, and my makeup. She had separate brush sets for each of us. She also washed her hands in between doing each of our makeup. Nancy also asked us to wear masks while she worked on our eye makeup. When she moved onto our face we then took the mask off. Nancy was very professional and helped us feel by practicing all safety guidelines. For my makeup trial I scheduled with Nancy on the same day as my engagement photoshoot. I absolutely loved the way my makeup turned out. My skin looked flawless and my eyeshadow was so beautiful. Days leading up to my wedding I was worried due to regulations that I wouldn’t be able to have my makeup done professionally. Thankfully restrictions lifted and Nancy was able to do my makeup. My wedding day makeup completed my look. I felt like the beautiful bride I’ve always dreamt of being :) My mom and my sisters makeup was so beautiful as well! I highly recommend Nancy!

FUTURE BRIDE-yes I’m talking to you!!! BOOK NANCY! I had booked her for my original wedding day 5/17, however due to corona, I had to reschedule to 3/17, and Nancy completely accommodated me and got me booked for my new date with 2 days notice! On the wedding day, I showed her a few pictures but ultimately told her to do her thing (since she’s amazing), and it couldn’t have turned out better!!! She made me feel like a true bride! I wish I lived in Cali to use her all the time! She’s definitely worth your investment.

I felt gorgeous on my wedding day! Nancy was so enjoyable to work with. She kept me calm and kept everyone on time within the schedule. My bridesmaids and mom loved their makeup and truly enjoyed just chatting with Nancy while they were in her chair. If you’re anything like me you’re currently pouring over hundreds of reviews of every makeup artist you can find on the internet trying to find the PERFECT person for your perfect day. I spent far too long doing exactly that before landing on Nancy and I am so so glad I did. From the initial communication, working with Nancy was a breeze. On our trial day she was so sweet and knowledgeable and did a great job helping me reach the look I wanted. I decided after our trial to go a completely different route with our look and Nancy was eager to help me make adjustments as needed to go for a completely different style and was so accommodating with everything leading up to the big day. On my wedding day Nancy and her assistant had a total of 9 women to perform magic on and they knocked it out of the park on every single one! One of my bridesmaids has been in like 100 weddings (seriously there could be a movie about this social butterfly and her bridesmaid experience) and said that without a shadow of a doubt it was the best makeup job she’s ever had. And me? This picky overthinking bride felt incredible. She not only met but far exceeded my expectations for my wedding day look and she was SO much fun to have around while she did it. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Nancy to literally anyone. I am already finding excuses to book her to do my makeup again. Seriously, book her. You won’t regret it.

I am so thankful I found Nancy to do my makeup for my engagement session, bridal shower/photos with my family, and our wedding. I followed several makeup artists on Instagram over the years, and while I thought their work was great, I knew for myself I had a certain look I wanted to achieve since I am someone who rarely wears makeup. I used the #sandiegoweddingmakeup hashtag, and came across Nancy's Instagram. I searched through the many photos, and I loved what I saw. I noticed that her work was multi-dimensional, and she had the talent to achieve a variety of looks. If I remember correctly, I booked her fairly last minute for our engagement session. The booking process was easy with her, and I really enjoyed the time getting to know her. It is so important to vibe with your wedding vendors because you spend the most important day with them. She listened to me as I explained the variety of things I did and did not like, showed her photos, and she checked in with me throughout the entire process to see if what we were doing was too much, too little, etc. We went for a brown smokey eye matte look for my engagement photos, and I loved it. It looked gorgeous in the photos, and I was so appreciative. Fast forward to my bridal shower, I wanted to get my makeup done for the bridal shower, and because I was doing photos with my (then) fiance, and pup. I wanted something different than last time, and wanted to do a little more sparkle for eyeshadow. She remembered what I did and did not like from our last session, and we accomplished a different look, and I loved it. I knew that was going to be the look for our wedding. I received so many compliments from family and friends at my bridal shower that my makeup made me still look like me, which is so important. On our wedding day, Nancy was simply wonderful. I enjoyed her presence, and having her there was like having an old friend there for your big day. She did a wonderful job on all of my bridesmaids, and family members. She and her assistant listened to what everyone wanted, and everyone looked amazing. She re-created the look from our last session together, and I absolutely loved my wedding day makeup. It was the most beautiful I have ever felt. If you want someone who is professional, courteous, kind, talented, listens, and has a personality that makes you feel like you are with one of your friends, then Nancy is your girl. It is truly the most amazing feeling to step away from makeup/hair, put on your wedding dress, and look in the mirror. Nancy completely outdid herself with my wedding day makeup! She customized my look based on my preferences and vision! My entire wedding party was so impressed with her level of skill.. Our makeup could have lasted till the next morning!! Stop looking and book NANCY!!! SHE IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! A few months before my wedding my previous makeup artist straight up bailed on me. It was actually a blessing in disguise because that was how I found Nancy and it was the best decision I have made. Nancy did my bridesmaids and my mom's makeup. She is on time, professional and SUCH a joy to be around. She is easy going and will work hard to create your wedding day look. Nancy made me feel so beautiful the day of my wedding. My makeup lasted ALL night long. I have oily skin and was afraid it would wear off. NOPE! Not with Nancy's expertise. I am of asian descent and I was afraid of other people doing my makeup just because my eyelids are hard to put eye shadow on because of their shape. Nancy can literally do anyone's makeup no mater what shape, color or size and will make you feel beautiful. One of my bridesmaids told me she hasn't felt this beautiful in a long time! I wanted to cry because of how perfect my makeup was! I cannot thank Nancy enough.

Nancy was extremely professional and provided makeup for 5 bridesmaids as well as mother of bride and groom. She was on time, professional and had a makeup chair/makeup lighting. She brought many different brands of makeup (all very desirable). She did an incredible job and the makeup was so beautiful. She was so sweet and added to the day. She also really made my sister feel special as maid-of-honor giving her a little extra. Makeup was still on at the end of the night and looking gorgeous for all photos. I found Nancy on Instagram and I loved all the posts she would post. I almost didn’t even do a trial run with her because I was so sure she would do amazing. I ended up doing a trial about a month before my wedding and I loved it so much! The day of my wedding she came to my house and did my makeup and some of my bridesmaids as well. All of the girls loved it as well. I kept getting so many compliments from our guests on my makeup. I really do recommend her, she’s amazing at what she does!

Nancy is just the best!! For my first wedding makeup trial I gave her photos of what I thought I wanted my makeup to look like, and after she executed it perfectly, I just wasn't happy with what I had chosen and wasn't happy with how I looked. After telling her this, she was so incredibly sweet, and emphasized that her overall goal was to make sure that I didn't only feel pretty on my wedding day, but more importantly that I felt comfortable. So we did another trial, with suggestions from her that ended up aligning more with my everyday-makeup look rather than over-the-top wedding day looks, and she NAILED IT!! I was blown away with how gorgeous she made me look, and more importantly feel, on my big day, and am so thankful to her for putting in the time and effort to make me feel that way.
