About this vendor
Makeup by Sarah Alicea is a wedding makeup service located in Salem, NH.
Since I can remember as a young girl I use to steal my mother's eyeliner ends, I would bring them to school and store them in my locker to use with my peace love, and happiness mirror! From there I moved on to managing a Forever 21 at the age of 18 and I would take my checks, cash them and go straight to MAC to get the latest. I would sit on break outback and did makeup on sales associates! This is just a little insight into the passion I carry for makeup artistry. I absolutely love making you feel beautiful on the most special day of your life and with a decade of experience, I am sure to deliver you the look you desire most.
In 2008 I began working at Bare Escentuals, where I was introduced to working in retail makeup. I then made my wedding scene debut in 2010 and in 2012 I started my own business. Since then, I have been able to broaden my professional makeup experience and now have 10+ years of experience.
I continuously keep up with the latest makeup trends and am always on the lookout for the best products for my specific clients. I continue to educate myself and take classes to grow my knowledge and technique in makeup. I strive to deliver what my client wants no matter what is asked of me.

We LOVED working with Sarah! She is so warm and comforting and listens to what you want. I wanted a natural look for my wedding and was worried about finding a makeup artist becaus...
e I'm not well versed in makeup to communicate what I want, and sometimes people really cake on the product. But not Sarah. She took critiques well during the trial and the end result on the big day was so so so perfect, everything I could have dreamed of. And she doubled as my therapist when I had the wedding-day nerves! Something about her is so comforting and soothing and we were so lucky to have her.
Let me tell you something. I originally booked and signed a contract with another makeup artist, but after my trial with them - I was horrified. I absolutely hated it. I was stress...
ed out because I only had a few months before my wedding to find a new makeup artist…. Until I found Sarah!!!
I am legit so happy I fell across her. I reached out and we met at a salon for our trial and I immediately knew she was the vibe I wanted for my wedding day. She has extensive knowledge in the industry and her work speaks for itself. I’m addition she is the most chill, calm, and friendly person you could want on your wedding day.
Sarah was professional and arrived right on time the morning of and beautified me, my mom, and four bridesmaids to the prettiest versions of ourselves. I am so grateful she was available late notice and made me feel so comfortable. Thank you Sarah xo
Do not hesitate hiring Sarah for your special day. I hired Sarah for myself and bridal party. She is a natural at doing makeup, she is able to do everyone’s makeup to their request...
and also work with everyone’s different features to perfect their make up to their own individuality. I never felt more beautiful, I received ENDLESS compliments and everyone’s make up looked flawless in their photos. Not to mention Sarah is FUN and OUTGOING, we had a blast getting ready Sarah, we wanted her to join the wedding! I can’t wait to have her do my makeup again!!
I have used Sarah for multiple occasions for years. Most recently was when my dad passed away. I know that probably sounds odd, but I wanted makeup that would not smudge off from c...
rying and wanted to cover a blotchy face from the after math of crying. She came to my house before the wake and did a natural face with some lashes. My makeup not only lasted the whole 5 hour wake but the lashes were still perfect for the funeral the next day. I have also used her for events, my bridal shower, my wedding and multiple friends weddings. I have seen her do small wedding parties and I have seen her do wedding parties of 12+ and her service never sways. Always great service and always perfect results.
I booked Sarah in April, she was quick to respond and take my deposit. I then reached out to her via text/call/email in August for a makeup trial, she would not respond to any of m...
y messages. I started to panic when I saw a review that she also did this to another client. It was 2 weeks of leaving voicemails/texts/emails that I finally got a response saying that she was not sure if she was still available for my wedding date! This was after accepting my deposit 4 months prior! She sent me this message weeks before my wedding! If I had not asked her for a trial I would have been sitting at the hotel waiting for her to show because she only told me this after weeks of trying to get a hold of her with no response! I was left trying to find another makeup artist weeks before my wedding! Meanwhile, she is posting other trials on her social media! Not sure why she had time for them and not me after receiving my deposit. She caused me unnecessary stress weeks before my wedding and I would have never known that she was not going to make it had I not reached out to her first. If you want someone who is reliable for your big day then DO NOT book with her. She completely blew me off and I don’t understand how anyone can do this to someone for something so important as their wedding. Thankfully I found an amazing artist at Haus of beauty.
Sarah was a pleasure to work with! She was very responsive throughout the process- from booking to my trial day and our wedding day. She was considerate of all of my girls wishes f...
or their makeup, as well as mine. There were changes we discussed after my makeup trial, and Sarah made sure that the final look on my wedding day was exactly what I wanted. She was sweet enough to stick around to touch up my makeup after receiving an emotional gift. I am so happy to have spent my wedding morning with Sarah! She made sure to arrive early to provide ample time to set up and get all of our faces complete.

When we were scheduling for my wedding, it was her great idea to use my bridal shower as the trial, I highly recommend this for any woman who needs a little help with make up like myself! re our date. Sarah was recommended to me by a long time friend and I decided to reach out to see if she could help. From the minute I spoke to her I felt more at ease and confident I had made the right decision in switching artists. She was able to get me into her schedule and about a week later we had a trial and I fell in love with her work. On the day of my wedding, she was able to recreate the same look and make all 5 of my bridesmaids as well as my mother look flawless. Hiring Sarah was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding day and I would recommend her again and again. Thank you, Sarah!!

she does. She did my entire wedding party’s makeup and we will continue to hire her for future events. She was able to make each of us feel beautiful no matter what look we wanted, extravagant, more natural, it didn’t matter. If you’re on the fence about hiring someone, hire Sarah, I would recommend her to anyone and everyone! She is worth it!
Sarah is AMAZING! She did 6 bridesmaids and mother of bride/groom, everyone looked incredible! I can not recommend Sarah enough she does a beautiful job!!

red to do a trial session and listen to the effects I was looking for and came out with the perfect make up. She was punctual, patient, funny, tireless and just amazing while working with my big bridal party. My makeup held perfectly through a hot summer day and after a very emotional ceremony where I have shared quite few happiness tears.
My special ladies were beyond ecstatic with the final work and most of them maintained contact with Sarah for future events. They call her and ask for makeup brand opinions or other style related questions.
I’m looking forward to working with her again and I am recommending her to all my friends.

She has since become my go-to when I need my makeup done for a special event or occasion, and I always leave her feelings like a celebrity.
She has a warmth about her, where you immediately feel comfortable, like you’ve known her for years. Her smile and laugh are contagious, which adds to the whole experience.
If you are lucky enough to book her for your special day, I can 100% say with confidence, you will have most beautiful makeup and feel so gorgeous on your special day.
