I wasn’t planning on hiring someone for my wedding to do my hair and makeup because the cost just seemed to be too great. I ultimately found Meleah and decided to splurge a little. I had a lunch time wedding and she needed to start at 7am which is gladly took on with no complaints. Came to my hotel which was the one thing that went wrong on my wedding day and basically did my hair and makeup in the dark since the hotel barely had any light and the porch barely brought any in. Which she didn’t complain about it once and was no fault of her own. I was very happy how my makeup and hair turned out! My hair didn’t fall an inch and stayed in place with and without the veil.

ng the job, Meleah and I exchanged emails and had a web meeting to discuss my wishes and I sent her photographs of what I was looking for.
Meleah was very up front about costs (which were very reasonable), honest about what would work best with my hair type and length, sent me a professional contract for services, and accepted a very manageable deposit prior to our appointment date.
I requested a last minute change to the appointment venue which Meleah was able to accommodate.
Prior to the appointment, Meleah sent me clear and easy to follow instructions with suggested product to use.
The day of my wedding, Meleah was on time, was very professional and prepared and was extremely fun to work with. She has a great personality, and helped calm my nerves on my big day.
My hair and makeup turned out better than I could have ever hoped for. I highly recommend Meleah's hair and makeup services for any wedding or special occasion.

did a trial and she was honest with me about what would and wouldn’t look good or would be imprudent on my wedding day. She was right about everything she suggested and said. Her whole team was just phenomenal!! I had multiple nieces 11 years old and under and she selected stylists that just worked amazingly with kiddos. All of my bridesmaids turned out GORGEOUS and we couldn’t have been happier. Besides all of this, I learned a ton from her: from how to prevent oily hair and washing properly to best products and uses of mousse. She was calm and helpful when I didn’t have my hair fully dry after my shower, yet, the morning of the wedding and helped me so we stayed on schedule. She personalized each of our prep based on our hair type and length and communicated exceptionally well. As you can tell by the length of this: I cannot say enough good things about her and her team. Additionally, I wanted a simple/natural makeup look which Maleah achieved perfectly. My hair doesn't hold a curl well but she was able to help me prep my hair so that it held the style all night. My mom was also very happy with her hair/makeup.
All around I had an amazing experience working with Maleah. She was a big factor in helping me feel confident going into my wedding day both for the first dance but also for my hair/makeup look.

here i can find and she worked with diverse group of women in different ethnicities so this made me confident that with her 20+ years of experience she will know how to do hair and makeup for Filipina like me. I love natural, elegant look and she did it. It really makes a difference to have a trial session, highly recommend! She takes lots of notes and by wedding day, I was so in love with how it turned out after taking some notes to improve after the trial session. I changed the hair style too but it was no problem, she pulled it off just by showing her my hair inspo photo. She is super amazing to work with, very responsive, on time, flexible, good with follow ups, have a great team working with her, helps on scheduling a lot and really strategize with you to make it work for wedding timelines. She is truly a hidden gem, plus the price rates are very reasonable compared to other artists out there. I can't recommend her enough, book her for your wedding and even add dance lessons if you're local in SD ( i wish we were so we had first dance lessons!) She also have her own line of makeup and skincare which are so fantastic, i love her lipstick and glow mask. lly appreciated. Using that feedback, she made a few adjustments on the wedding day, and the results were great. My hair and makeup lasted the entire night and looked beautiful in photos. I received lots of compliments and felt confident throughout the day.
That said, there were a few hiccups with the service. Meleah didn’t follow the wedding planner’s parking instructions, which resulted in me having to pay for her parking twice. Additionally, after she packed up, I realized my dupatta hadn’t been placed in my hair. Even though I had mentioned it several times before and on the wedding day, she seemed surprised when I brought it up.
Overall, the quality of her work was excellent, and I’d still recommend her, but a bit more attention to detail on logistics and communication would have made the experience even better.

ow I wanted my hair. She gave me lots of good ideas to prepare for the day, including a plan of exfoilating to ensure my face and neckline looked amazing at my wedding. She has great emails with details on what to expect, and what is needed. The week of the wedding, she sent a reminder of the things that I needed to do, including how much mouse to put into my hair that morning. On the day, she arrived exactly ontime at my friends house, we looked at a few different spots to find the perfect light. She was super flexible and easy going, the best light was in the bedroom, so she spread out a towel and all her makeup on the bed. She made the time fun, and since we'd done the trial, it went quicker than I expected. She was fun, made me feel so beautiful, and my hair ended up being prettier than I thought possible.

I was SO nervous about finding someone to work on my hair. It’s extremely curly and thick and every time I’ve had my hair done for a formal event, I always end up redoing it myself, so I don’t trust just anyone to do my hair, especially because I wanted to wear my natural curls for the wedding. I felt immediately comfortable with Meleah. I truly felt like she listened and asked several questions to understand my hair type and its tendencies and my vision for my hairstyle. I cried after our trial because I loved it so much and she made it look gorgeous. I’ve never had an experience like that before with my hair. The day of the wedding it was flawless and I didn’t even give it a second thought the entire day! Her makeup style is so amazing too! I have lots of freckles I didn’t want to cover and wanted to aim for a lighter and natural foundation and she totally nailed it! 15/10 on communication, she asked questions and checked in every step of the way to make sure I was fully satisfied.
My husband and I also did dance lessons with her which were so worth it! I’ve had experience with dancing, but my husband hadn’t and was very nervous. Everyone at the wedding was so excited to see him dancing so smoothly and he felt so confident! Meleah is an excellent teacher! She does it all!
As far as pricing, she is really reasonable too. She is an absolute delight to work with and I’m so glad she was a part of our day!

My hair lasted all night - even after 3 hours of dancing - and my makeup was perfect. I truly felt like a princess on my wedding day and it was in large part to my hair and makeup!
My husband and I also decided to do some first dance lessons in order to feel more comfortable having the spotlight on us and the lessons were so much fun. Meleah did an amazing job teaching us a dance in just 5 lessons and everyone was blown away by our moves. The first dance lessons were definitely a highlight of the wedding planning process and we are both so glad we did it!

I had my initial hair and makeup trial with Meleah in December, three months before the wedding. When we met, my hair was dry and difficult to manage, and I truly didn't recall a time in which I had enjoyed wearing in naturally curly.

She accompanied me to a hair appointment conducted by another stylist and stayed for the full 2 hours to make sure that it was something we were both happy with at the end.
On the day of the wedding, the hair and makeup appointment was held at our hotel block, and it was so easy, fun, and seamless. Throughout the day, everyone commented on how beautiful my hair and makeup looked. She took something that I was so nervous about leading up to the wedding and made it such a glowing point.

e of the only makeup artists who advertised all of the services I was searching for. She really understood who we are and the vision we had for our fall fairy wedding. I was worried I wouldn't recognize myself in makeup as I don't usually wear it. I wanted a natural, glowy, blushy look with copper and gold tones to match my ethereal dress, and Meleah knocked it out of the park!! I felt just like myself with all my features enhanced. She was very communicative throughout the whole process via email. Her assistant was also awesome working with my bridesmaids the day of. Best of all, both my husband and I had our hair and makeup stay perfectly all night! Even after sweating on the dance floor, our guests said we looked flawless!

In addition to hair and makeup, my husband and I also took dance lessons with Meleah. My husband and I were both inexperienced with professional dancing but Meleah was amazing in guiding us as she choreographed a dance to a song my husband and I chose. We nailed the dance at the wedding! 11/10, would recommend going to Meleah for both hair and makeup, and definitely for dance lessons!
