Lainie is very kind and professional, and I would recommend her. She was hired to do my hair and makeup, as well as the hair and makeup for a bridesmaid and the mother of the bride. Everyone looked and felt beautiful. Here was my experience. We planned a wedding 6 hours away from where we live, which carries extra stress and limitations. One of the budget sacrifices I felt fine with making at the time was skipping a hair and makeup trial. As the wedding approached, she messaged me to check in and inquired about scheduling a trial. It just so happened that we had plans to drive to St. Louis to take care of other wedding activities around the same time, and I had enough room in the budget to pay for it. She was kind enough to work me in for a trial, even though we had a tight timeline. So, I proceeded with the trial, hoping to alleviate one source of concern of the unknown going into the wedding day. When I arrived to the address, I realized it was her home, which I wasn't expecting. She was very welcoming and showed me to the kitchen area where she had her set up all ready to go. She explained that she was in the middle of setting up her studio, and that this was just temporary. We talked about what I wanted, my skin type, and my dress, along with other details. I absolutely loved how she did my hair. It was exactly what I wanted, and she worked in my hair piece and veil seamlessly. The style held up all day. Now, I am going to be 100% honest. I have never worn airbrush makeup before. I assumed it would be the best option for me, in order for my makeup to last through all the crying, eating, drinking, and sweating I was expecting to do on the wedding day. So that is what I requested at the trial. However, it did not hold up well for me. Within minutes of leaving, it was streaking and coming off. I am also too pale for the color that was used. It was hard to tell in the lighting of her home, so I didn't really notice until I was in natural light. I started to worry. However, I reached out to Lainie with my concerns about the makeup. She was very understanding of my concerns and offered her advice. We ultimately decided not to go with airbrush. Instead, we decided to use my foundation because I knew it would hold up. Due to time restraints, I was unable to schedule an additional trial. So, going into the wedding day, I was a little nervous about the makeup. On the wedding day, Lainie arrived right on time, and was quick to set up everything she needed. My mom and bridesmaid had their hair and makeup completed, and they looked stunning. I felt better seeing how great they looked. After my hair, I asked her to make a few adjustments, which she graciously made for me. Our hair and makeup were supposed to be finished by 4pm, and I had an uber black scheduled to take us to the venue at 4:30. Unfortunately, my hair and makeup were a little behind schedule, which resulted in the uber cancelling on us, and we had to find an alternate ride to the venue at the last minute, which was very stressful. I was scheduled to arrive at my venue by 4:35, but didn't wind up being able to get there until after 5, and still needed to get dressed. My ceremony was scheduled to start at 6, which we made, but it was much more hurried and stressed than I would have preferred. All in all, we were very comfortable with Lainie, and everyone turned out so beautiful. I kissed, I cried, I sweat, I ate, and I drank, but my hair and makeup stayed flawless all night.

Lainie did an amazing job on my hair and makeup for my wedding. She even gifted me a super cute touch up kit, it even included candy! What I’m most impressed about Lainie is her willingness to push herself out of her comfort zone. She did a makeup trial for my husband, and while he decided not to get his makeup done, was super grateful Lainie was willing to try.

Lainie did my engagement and bridal hair/makeup along with my bridal parties! Lainie was super responsive and open to trying out different makeup during my trial and willing to travel as my venue was in Hermann, MO. My only concern was I went last out of everyone getting ready and felt rushed on my hair, the right side of my braid crown was a bit wonky looking but I consented that it was fine so I could rush for my first look. Looking back at our photos I wish I had her fix that but at least the other side looked good and that was mainly photographed but the wonky side faced my guests during the ceremony. Just make sure the bride doesn't go last and you should be good to go!
