y. She did a decent job recreating that look for me but I couldn’t see the makeup until the very end. So I realized that the makeup wasn’t for me and I wanted a more natural look. I texted her saying I wasn’t gonna proceed and she got so defensive, telling me that she had to waste her time accommodating me (even though I paid $200 for the trial) and that I could’ve addressed the makeup being too strong. But I wasn’t gonna pay another $200 for doing a more subtle look when I didn’t like the makeup the first time. The energy was very off as well, talking badly about her other clients to me and making me feel guilty for not proceeding with her services. Beware

Thus, it pains me to see that on this occasion we could not get there. Doing this for almost three decades I learned that the communication is the most important part of the process. The communication is a two-way street and the client owns one side of the road. In this case, at the end of the session, the client actually explicitly said "I love it". In addition, I invited the client to provide any feedback or express desire to change anything once she wore a makeup for few hours and had a chance to reflect on it. No such feedback was offered until the subsequent follow up which is the standard part of my service. I regret that the clients dissatisfaction was not made known while at the trial, I'd be more than happy to make it to her liking. That is what the trials are for.
Makeup is very personal, and everyone has different preferences and expectations. I always encourage communication during appointments so I can make adjustments and ensure my clients are happy with the final look. I truly value all feedback and will continue doing my best to provide quality service to every client.
I'd also like to address the statement that I was being unprofessional and speaking about other clients, that is not my recollection as I take my work and my clients’ privacy very seriously, and I would never intentionally make anyone feel uncomfortable.
Would have loved to see this work out for both parties, but that does not always happen. I do wish this client all the best for her wedding. She will be a one stunning bride!

in my mind who I was going to use to do my makeup. It was perfection! Not only did she make me look the most beautiful on that day, but my makeup lasted all day and all night without having to do any touch-ups. Even though it was a very hot and humid day, and all night of dancing, I was photo ready at all times. I received so many compliments stating what an amazing job she had done and that it stayed on perfectly into the wee hours of the night. I have recommended Meg to family and friends, and have seen the amazing work she has done on them as well. I personally continue to use Meg for events and photoshoots.
