If you’re like me and grew up watching the OG makeup influencers (Desi Perkins, MakeupShayla, Nicole Guerriero, Jaclyn Hill, Jackie Aina, IluvSarahii, etc.), then you know what it means to have high standards when it comes to makeup—especially bridal makeup. Well babe, Eddy didn’t just meet those expectations… he exceeded them. I’m a Black woman with imperfect skin (acne-prone, hyperpigmentation—the works), and I was nervous about looking flawless in photos while still looking like myself in person. Eddy came through. I felt so beautiful, and most importantly, I still looked like me. And it wasn’t just me—Eddy worked his magic on my mom, my aunts, and my best friend. Every single person who sat in his chair left feeling gorgeous. My loved ones have a range of skin tones (fair to deep), skin types, and ages—I'm 31, and the oldest person he did was 65. My mom and aunts, who were terrified of looking “too made up,” couldn’t stop raving about how natural and radiant they looked. These are women who usually avoid makeup, and they were so impressed they actually started wearing it afterward! What impressed me even more was Eddy’s kindness and flexibility. My aunts weren’t originally on the schedule, but he graciously fit them in and made them feel just as important as the bride (don’t worry, we paid—worth every penny!). Eddy’s professionalism and positive energy made the entire morning calm, joyful, and fun. He worked seamlessly with my hairstylist, respected everyone’s time, and kept the vibe light and happy. He’s that rare artist who not only brings out your outer beauty but also makes you feel beautiful from the inside out. I will 100% be booking Eddy again—not just for future events, but to learn from him and refresh my own makeup skills. My wedding day truly wouldn’t have been as perfect without him. f comfort with makeup (some never really wear it and others are super glam) and I really loved how he went lighter with the girls who wanted a more natural look. I think it's a sign of a truly great artist to not just do the same cookie cutter look across the board; he customized each of our looks and drew out the best features for everyone. We all felt gorgeous and pampered. As for hair, again, different styles, hair lengths, and textures, all of which Eddie and his team completely slayed. They did a stunning job on hair and makeup. They showed up early, made such a fun environment for all of us, and are not only incredibly professional, but insanely talented.
