ion wedding in Oahu August 2015. I contacted Doris as she was reccomended by our photographer and from the first phone call i knew we were in good hands. My wife had a Skype call to have doris see her hair and discuss what my wife desired style was. Doris put her at ease and day of the wedding doris did her hair in about an hour. It looked AMAZING. Also held up for 12 hrs in the heat of Hawaii. Thank you again Doris. I would reccomend Maleana Cosmetics to anybody traveling to Ohau and needing your hair done.
Not tears of joy either. Dorys gets lower rating because she showed up to my wedding an hour late and then had the nerve to rush me as if SHE had someplace else to be. I Asked her ...
if she had another event that evening and she said no. I'm So tired of people always using traffic as an excuse. All the other vendors showed up on time or early Including her assistant who was there one hour before her.
The bottom line is I did not feel beautiful on my wedding day, because my hair and makeup were not done right. We did the whole rushed session without a mirror and by the time I got to see it, she was packed up. I told her
I was not happy with the the makeup. She dabbed another layer onto my already heavily coated cheeks and split.
My hair was literally curled into my eye for the entire ceremony. I had to run up between events to fix it myself with a flat iron. Irresponsible!

They were very effecient. I had 4 bridesmaid and my mom, and they finished everything on time and also had some time to do the catch up. Doris did my makeup and she sent 2 assistants to do the other 5. I am glad that I did not have to start early in the morning like other brides. I chose the special for my bridesmaids which was $75 per person. It was way cheaper than others. The only thing is that it was just for light makeup. The assistant refused to do it when one of my bridemaid wanted her to add more eye shadow.
However, when I did my trail, I did not like it. I thought she could pick the best color and style based on her experience. I looked old with purple and pink. My eyes don't match pink. I told Doris that I did not like it and she offered me a second trail with no charge. That was very nice of her. This time she put darker eye shadow, like smokey style, but I was not satisfied. I was going to try another stylist but I ran out of time.
They are very good I think. My suggestion is to make sure you tell them exactly what you want.

On the day of my wedding, Dorys arrived early, we got started and finished up in perfect time. She went the extra step and helped zip me up AND fasten my necklace. She did my hair and makeup, three of my bridesmaids, and both moms, with the help of an assistant. Everyone was ecstatic with their look. I chose to do airbrushing and lashes, and everything stayed put the entire time, through my crying during pretty much the entire ceremony, to crying during toasts, to crying through the first dance, and then sweating like no other on the dance floor :) My hair stayed in place too, which is quite a feat considering the wind that day!
