About this vendor
In 1973 Mama’s Fish House was born – Maui’s first fresh fish restaurant. Nestled in a beautiful coconut grove on a secluded white sand beach, this converted beach house restaurant is a memory of old Polynesia on Maui’s North Shore. Everyday we serve outstanding fresh catch lunches and dinners, with light fare through the afternoons in our elegant bar & lounge. All of our fish is locally caught in Hawaiian waters. Our menus are printed twice daily to credit the local fishermen.

This was the perfect place for our small wedding, we had 15 of our family there to help us celebrate. The grounds are beautiful and they have their own beach so the photographs came out wonderful. Afterwards we had lunch at the restaurant and everything that we ate was so fresh and delicious, they even had personalized menus waiting for us at the table. Mama's is a must for any couple who wants the perfect tropical background for their Maui wedding, and if you have a small party and have a limited budget it's even better. Also, for about 3 nights around our wedding we stayed in one of their luxury junior suites at the inn and we were so in love with our room. We acutally went to Kauai for our honeymoon and the place that we stayed at was horrible, we kept saying that we wished we were back at Mama's.
We booked our reservations weeks in advance of our trip & let them know it was a special occasion. We had a seat by the window, with a card congratulating us on our wedding. Then the manager came out with a special lei for me. It was very special. I loved the food, I know some people think it’s over priced, but I live in Los Angeles…food/living is expensive. It was good food…we got the macadamia encrusted crab cakes, I got the lobster & crab stuffed Mahi (little TOO rich after crab cakes), my husband got the Pepper encrusted Ahi tuna cooked rare. It was all rather delicious! I got the lilkoi colada which was amazing & DH got the Mai Tai, which he liked. Overall, it was a special meal together…we thoroughly enjoyed it...especially the view!
We had our wedding on the beach in front of Mama's Fish house, and then had dinner at Mama's. The wedding was beautiful and dinner was perfect.
