M&B Flower Co was THE biggest disappointment at our wedding in 04/24. I found this company on The Knot and the prices seemed affordable so I went ahead and booked Michelle Rowe (ow...
ner) for my wedding. I had such high hopes and was the most excited about the flowers for the wedding, but almost everything we talked about leading up to the day, didn't happen. The whole time we were planning the flowers, she was very communicative, very punctual to our meetings, and the moodboards that she created using my vision were beautiful. This got me excited because I thought we were on the same page. I had given her Pinterest pictures of the style that I wanted and she created her moodboard according to that. It was my mistake that I didn't ask for mockups of the flowers beforehand. The things that I asked for and PAID for, didn't happen.
Arch: I had given her a specific picture off pinterest that I wanted the arch to look like: full and large. The colors did end up happening but the arch was so sparse that we could see the structure of the arch inside. There were so many empty spaces throughout and that was really disappointing.
Aisle: I specifically had told her and showed her that I wanted the aisle to be FULL of flower petals. I paid an extra $200 for aisle petals because I wanted to feel like I was walking down a carpet of petals. There were petals on the aisle but only on the sides, when I said I wanted them to cover the aisle.
Seating chart arrangement: I paid for an arrangement for our seating chart and it just didn't happen. Nothing there.
Bridal Bouquet: THIS WAS THE MOST DISAPPOINTING. I had specifically told her multiple times during the planning process that I don't like roses and do not want roses for my bouquet. What did I get? Roses. I had given her multiple options like lilies, peonies, or hydrangeas. and instead I got the one flower I had said not to use.
At the end of our wedding, I saw my coordinator cleaning up the flowers so I asked her why she was doing that (since that was the florist's job), she said that Michelle had to leave to "take care of her daughter" and left the cleaning to the coordinator team. The next day I receive a $250 invoice from the coordinator that they added on for additional clean up for the flowers. I, of course, paid this since it wasn't on them to clean up but then texted Michelle about the situation, as well as the things that had not gone as we had planned, like my bouquet. She said she would definitely reimburse me for that clean up fee especially since I had already paid her for clean up as well. For the bouquet she said that the roses apparently looked the best at the market (even though I had given her multiple options). I said okay and waited for that reimbursement. A week goes by, nothing. So I text her again and she says she will venmo me by the end of that week, still nothing. I texted her again and no answer. I called her, no answer. She had completely ghosted me. I called her multiple days in a row after that twice a day and still no answer. I felt so frustrated for letting her string me along during the planning process. I had also paid in full before the wedding so there was no way I could get that money back. $4250 for a huge disappointment on my wedding day. I cried after my wedding because nothing had turned out the way I wanted and I got ripped off for so much money. Added 1 star for centerpieces, since those were nice. I DO NOT RECOMMEND MICHELLE ROWE FOR YOUR WEDDING FLOWERS.
Huge disappointment
Started off with high hopes, ended up really disappointed. Almost nothing we spoke about actually happened at our wedding. I wouldn't recommend hiring her.

tails: When we found Michelle, I was super excited. She was willing to work with our budget, very communicative, and sent me some great looking mood boards that seemed to indicate we were on the same page.
Unfortunately, the end results were really disappointing. Throughout the planning process, she was very detailed about the things she planned to incorporate at our wedding. She told me she planned to use candlesticks as well as shorter candles to create "different levels of light" for the reception table centerpieces. Said she's absolutely used the berry colors (that I was wild about after seeing her mood boards) throughout our florals and candles. Said she'd use the fabrics I bought for the arch (on her recommendation). Said she'd add lanterns at the ceremony arch and little bud vases dotted throughout the venue, like on the cocktail tables. Pretty much NONE of this ended up happening.
I should've known to be way when she canceled a zoom meeting we had with my wedding planner to go over final details--less than 10 minutes beforehand. I also kept asking for examples/mockups. She said would give me those about 30 days out. This also never happened, despite my asking multiple times. All I got were more Pinterest pictures.
Anyway, the day of the wedding...She doesn't show up at all. No phone call, no explanation. Nothing. She sent an assistant who, though she was working really hard, clearly didn't have the right materials or instructions. A lot of the flowers were wilted, mostly white, and not even all of them were used (some were randomly left in the bridal suite). NONE of the touches Michelle offered of her own volition on our final call materialized. Only one of the 3 pieces of arch fabric she had me purchase was used. Overall, everything was pretty blah and quite a letdown.
When I emailed Michelle about our disappointment, she initially tried to blame the assistant! When I pressed her once more about why she wasn't there and why everything was so different than promised, she offered no explanation--just a weak "sorry".
If flowers are AT ALL important to your wedding vision, I'd strongly advise against taking the gamble and hiring her. IF you do, GET MOCKUPS. Ask for real photos of actual events she's done. And DON'T pay until the day of the wedding. She made us pay a week beforehand, and now I feel like an idiot for wasting so much money on such mediocre flowers and bad customer service.
M&B Flower Co. did an outstanding job. The flowers were stunning. The prices were very affordable, and she worked with us to stay within our budget. She was extremely friendly and ...
responsive. I provided pictures of what I wanted, and she brought it to life. Loved working with her and highly recommend.
