I wish I had paid more for a videographer
We were looking to keep some costs low and Joel was recommended to us by the information packet our venue gave us with suggestions. I shou...
ld have know that a package this low would come with a person that claims 30+ years in the business, but makes ameteur mistakes. Thank god my husband and I did a first look (something Joel told us was not a good idea) because if not the first thing we would have seen was Joel- standing in the middle of the aisle blocking our view. The video of our ceremony entrances is awkward because he thought the best placement was in the middle of the aisle and not at the end where you could get a full view of the entrance and not be in the way... While doing our first dance and parent dances he zoomed in on our top halves so we do not have a full shot of how we looked, the same went for him zooming in on our maid of honor and best man during speeches- not capturing us at all reacting to their speeches. I was very disappointed in the quality of the video, but I guess we got what we paid for. The contract said 3-4 weeks for delivery of our videos- it took 10 weeks with numerous emails requesting our product. In all it took 4 months to get our final product after lack of communication and lots of mistakes that I demanded be corrected before I would accept the final product.
We hired Joel from Mandon Productions for our wedding for June 9, 2018. When speaki g to Joel over the phone he was so sweet and asked questions that i didn't even think would be i...
mportant via his questionnaire as well as over the phone. Some questions to me didn't seem important to answer but somehow they were so he made sure those questions were answered. The day if the wedding came which he met me at my cousins house for her to g ready pictures. I told Joel in the morning that im going to be nervous because of all eyes on me and he make jokes to make me laugh and what not. I didnt know at that time it was a mistake. At first his jokes were funny but then through out the day the jokes kept getting more and more distasteful. Everything under the sun from telling my other cousin she should put on a swim suit and go tan or something like that to kicking on my husbands hotel room door saying he has a warrant for his arrest and telling my other cousins husband "looks like you're getting laid tonight" when my cousin got up to dance and was hyper. Not only was that bad, but he kept rushing us for photos at the hotel and after the ceremony which my mom was next to him when he yelled at us to come back down the hill when we weren't even half way up it. Before the ceremony he yelled at my husband to stop chewing gum when he wasn't in the first place he was upset that his deceased mother couldn't be there for his big day so he was moving his jaw (its something we both do when we're upset). A couple weeks later I receive my photos on a flash drive and as im looking at them (on a laptop) there were so many photos that were washed out from the huge flash Joel was using. I looked like a ghost in most of the hotel room photos. As a professional photographer for 30+ years he should have known the flash was going to wash us out being inside. I was also told he was caught drinking during the reception by multiple guests.
We have not received our wedding photos back yet as we have only been married for 2 weeks, but we were extremely impressed with our engagement shoot and work Mandon Productions doe...
s. We used Mandon Productions for both our Photography and Videography and look forward to seeing the wedding results. Joel and his wife are very accommodating and listen to what you would like. During our engagement session, Joel made us feel very relaxed and let us be us, rather than pose this way, or pose that way. Our pictures came out more natural looking and expressed who we are! I can't wait to see our wedding results!
If you need a videographer, call them!! O my Gosh they were so amazing!! Great with my guests, outstanding communnication with me, and were over all fantastic!
I haven't yet received our pictures- less than a month since wedding. However, I enjoyed working with them. Very sweet couple, great photographers. Our photographer, Dave, was a...
wesome!! I'm wheelchair bound and he was great at getting me posed and made sure we did all the shots we wanted without loosing out on our reception!!
We were very happy with Mandon Productions. All of their staff were great to work with.
Have not received photos yet, but Mandon was perfect. They were great with knowing what to do, when to do. We loved it and cannot wait to see our pictures!
Believe it or not, they subbed out the job of our wedding photography to a gentleman named Paul Harrington who actually had his own photography company. Lucky for us, he was reall...
y great to work with and he was used to taking photographs at a firehouse (my husband's a volunteer fireman). The photos were beautiful and I would recommend Paul to anyone planning their wedding. His website is fotolightroom.com;Be sure you get your proofs, some charge you for your negatives as well. The nice thing about Mandon Productions was that we paid for the photography services for the day of our wedding and we have time to get our album done at any point after that. Nice feature.
Easy to work with, flexable, accomadating. Outstanding videography. Very reasonable prices.;Be very specific about what portraits you'd like.
