I am getting married next year in Rhode Island and am in the process of selecting wedding vendors for the big day. Since I currently live on the West Coast, I am looking for vendors who are very reliable and dependable. While in Rhode Island on... a trip in June, my fiancé and I wanted to have our engagement pictures taken. A month before arriving in Rhode Island, I tried to call Mandy Mayberry to see if she would be able to schedule a time for an e-session. Since the two phone numbers I found for the studio did not work, I tried to contact Mandy through her website. After receiving a message indicating that her website was under construction, I then sent her an online contact form via email requesting her to contact me in regards to setting up an engagement shoot. A couple of days later, I was contacted by Mandy and after a few exchanges an e-session was tentatively scheduled for June. During the next few weeks, I tried multiple times to contact Mandy to get additional details on the exact location(s) and time of the photo shoot. As I was only going to be in RI for a brief amount of time, the engagement shoot had to be done within a specific timeframe. Since I did not have a working phone number for Mandy, I asked her multiple times to give me a call so we could discuss the details of the e-session over the phone, but she did not call me. After arriving in RI and still having not heard back from Mandy, I began to worry that my fiancé and I would not be able to get our engagement pictures done while we were there. I was extremely stressed and confused about why Mandy wasn't getting back to me. Finally the morning of the intended e-session, Mandy replied to my original email. When I told her that I was concerned and that we need to discuss what had happened with the miscommunication, Mandy indicated to me that it did not seem like we were a good fit and encouraged me to look for a different photographer. I was very upset and shocked by this response. It seemed to me that she was not as concerned about her lack of communication as she should have been. Because of her lack of concern and the stress the situation caused me, I felt the need to post this review because last thing any bride needs is added stress from their vendors.
