I knew immediately that I wanted to use her. I have had many bad experiences getting my hair and make up done for formal events, so I was nervous about this piece of my day, but i had no need to be. Many listened to and delivered exactly what I wanted. All my bridesmaids looked beautiful as well! Many of them were nervous for someone else to do their make up but in the end they were all thrilled with the result. At times, Many can be hard to get a hold of, but i would use her again in a heartbeat and I would recommend her to anyone!

re our wedding date and she was booked solid. So I had to book with another makeup artist instead. Much to my surprise, the other makeup artist backed out on me at the last minute (I will post my experience about her on here too), and left me hanging 2 weeks before the wedding! Needless to say I was frantic! Out of pure desperation, I called Mandy again to explain and she is there was ANYTHING at all she could do to help me. She listened patiently and was so comforting! And it wasn't even her fault! She assured me she would see what she could do and would call me back by end of day. She did as she promised and offered to come to my home and start at 5:30 am to get us in. I was SHOCKED! I was SO excited and impressed that she would do that! I immediately booked a trial run appointment with her (which I HIGHLY recommend) and all the anxiety went away when I saw how beautiful she made me look. Her technique is beautiful and flawless!
On my wedding day, she came on-time and did the makeup for me, 4 bridesmaids and my mother. My mother had a stroke 20 years ago leaving half of her face paralyzed. She was extremely apprehensive to have her makeup done as she always feels "lop-sided" and extreme self-conscious. Not only did Mandy made the experience stress-free and perfect, my mother looked & felt gorgeous and has never felt better about her pictures in over 20 years!
I can honestly say that having Mandy as my makeup artist was one of the BEST vendors I had for our special day. Even though the other artist backing out was stressful, I am happy it happened so I could have Mandy which I'm sure did a much better job anyway. I HIGHLY recommend her to any bride. The wedding day flies by so quickly, and we plan so hard to make everything just right. So picking the right people is key. est, prior to working with Mandy, I was more worried about my hair for my wedding than anything. I have never had a good experience with other hair stylist who did my hair for other events. I never was satisfied or felt like I looked like myself. Not only did she take the time to come all the way out to my house for THREE hair trials, but she did such a good job that she made it almost impossible to choose between them. My hair and makeup on my wedding was exactly how I imagined....actually better! I have never felt so beautiful. I got so many complements on how natural and fresh my makeup looked. Not to mention the hair! I have naturally thin hair and wearing it down made me a little nervous how it would hold up. It looked thick and gorgeous! My hair and makeup looked just as good at the end of the night (actually the next morning!) as it did when I left my house. Mandy is not only a great hair and makeup artist but she also was a joy to be around. She had a way to make me feel so relaxed on the wedding day. I knew I was in great hands. The make up services she provided for me (air brush) stayed on ALL DAY (about 9:30 AM to midnight). My hair was gorgeous all night long, even after we took off my veil. She came to our location at 6 AM to get started, making it through 2 make up applications, 1 air brush make up application, 1 bridal hair, plus 5 bridesmaids' hair in 5 hours. She was so convenient to work with, and it really just made our day so much more relaxed to know we were in good hands. I highly recommend Mandy to any other brides out there. Another 3 days later, I left a message stating that I was getting concerned because of our lack of communication and me not having received the contract. The next day she sent an e-mail saying she "isn't a good fit" for my event. How unprofessional! really easy, which was important to me since I was a" long distance" bride. For the trial runs, she was very accomodating to my hectic schedule (a Saturday and a Friday night). I also switched things up on her quite a bit (I switched 2 regular makeup applications to airbrush, added two updos at the last minute, added eyelashes for a bridesmaid) and she didn't bat an eye. She even found hypoallergenic lash glue for me! And the best part about working with her is that Mandy has such a bright and fun personality (and great sense of humor--she got to hear some very embarrassing stories about me from my bridesmaids and laughed heartily with us). I felt comfortable around her, which is important, because you spend a lot of time with your hair/make-up artist on your wedding day. She even touched up my makeup for me after I had a heavy tears-of-joy moment after first look photos with my fiance. She also provides you with extra lipgloss so you can reapply throughout the night.
In short, Mandy made me (and my mom and bridesmaids) look and feel so incredibly beautiful. She is talented, professional, and fun!

- She has a huge collection of quality make-up. I especially liked that she used an airbrush make-up system. If you choose to use this over regular foundation, you pay a bit more, but it goes on a lot lighter and you get more coverage and it doesn't feel as cake-y.
- I chose the package that included hair and make-up for my mom and sisters. EVERYONE was satisfied with their hair and make-up. They looked so fabulous, that made me feel so good! =)
That said, I'm a happy bride because I looked like a princess at my wedding. There were so many other wedding-related details I was worried about and luckily my hair and make-up weren't one of them. t come to whatever location we were at sounded like an amazing idea! Why would I want to drag 8-10 people to a salon when Mandy would come to us! Mandy always responded to my questions quickly and listened to each person's ideas and made suggestions to make them even better. She made time in her schedule to do my hair and makeup trial on the day of my best friend's wedding (2 birds, 1 stone!) and we had so much fun. The day of the wedding, she and a collegue came to our hotel suite, totally unphased by my 100lb lap dog, last minute wedding crafts, and a slew of people running in and out all morning, and did beautiful hair for my bridemaids and mom and my hair & makeup. I may be a little biased, but I most definitely had the hottest looking wedding party in history. :-) Mandy is definitely a skillful hair and makeup artist, but is also friendly and fun to work with - which is what a bride needs to de-stress on the big day. I would recommend Mandy to anyone without hesitation.
