We are always keeping up on our education. We have styled brides for countless weddings and traveled the country styling models for photoshoots in locations such as: NYC and LA. We love what we do and feel very blessed to be living out our dream come true ...and would love nothing more than to be with you while we help create yours too!

Jen and her team were excellent! Ashley did our hair and Jazmine did our makeup and neither of the two disappointed! I would definitely recommend them for any event where you need to get dolled up. Jazmine specializes in the most gorgeous soft glam I've ever seen and Ashley nailed the boho inspired hair styles for my entire bridal party!

After being screwed over by another company a month before my wedding, I stumbled upon Mane and Mascara so decided to reach out. And thank god I did! Jennifer was responsive, friendly and reassuring. And pricing was definitely a plus. I had specific needs and she went out of her way to accommodate them. My main concern was making sure the stylists had experience with African American hair/makeup and I was put to ease when she told me yes! I had my hair and makeup trial done at my home and was absolutely pleased with both. Day of the wedding, was no different. I have never felt so beautiful in my life and I owe it all to Jamie and Valerie (and Jen)! Thank you all for making my special day even better!

I booked Jen for my hair services the morning of my wedding on 12/18/22. Jen was an absolute dream! She was kind, supportive, and her energy was so great. "Getting ready" is such a fun, intimate part of any big day and Jen really made it happen. Her talent is second to none. She handled my last-minute changes with such grace. We did a trial for a low bun and while I loved it, I changed last minute to keeping my hair down and adding extensions. No trial and she killed it. She was so helpful and arrived a few minutes early. I cannot recommend Jen enough.

Owner and artists were so sweet! They helped me every step of the way and made everything super easy for me. They stayed on the timeline the day of and actually got all 10 of my bridesmaids and I done early. All four artists did what my bridesmaids requested and my hair and makeup dreams come true. I had people all night comment how beautiful my hair and makeup was. It all looked perfect and flawless in pictures and lasted the whole day/night without getting messed up at all.

I planned my entire wedding from the start. I found all my vendors and made all the arrangements. Mane + Mascara was the first and only beauty vendor I contacted. I was impressed with their portfolio and how natural all their clients looked. I never wear a lot of makeup or do my hair, so it was important for me to find a company that would reflect that. My hair was amazing - I got numerous compliments. This is also true with my makeup. Jennifer was very professional as far as getting my trials set and coordinating a timeline the day of ( I had seven girls including myself for hair). The day of, I had a different vision than both of my trials, yet neither artist balked to this request. Instead, they made my dreams come true. Kait (our hair artist) was on time and wonderful. Beverly (makeup artist) hit some traffic on the way, but was in communication the whole time and made up the time difference to stay on schedule. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to Mane + Mascara!

From the start, it's been a bit of a mess. It took forever to hear back from the owner when trying to get information and set a trial for both hair and makeup. Finally got around to a date... the stylist for my hair showed up on time, but I wasn't super impressed. She was so nice and is really the only reason I'm giving more than 1 star. The makeup stylist never showed, so I text the owner and had to reschedule with a new stylist... new date comes around, nobody shows yet again. Cancelled both hair and makeup trails/day of. If they can't even communicate efficiently or make it to the trials they definitely wouldn't make it to the wedding day. Do yourself a favor and steer clear....

I’m not one to wear a lot of makeup so I knew I needed a professional to do my makeup for our invitation photos. Kim was absolutely fantastic!! She set up quickly and got started right away. I was no help to her explaining what I wanted, but she somehow managed to capture exactly what I needed to look my best. I looked and felt 10 years younger than my 46 years! Kim was very professional and friendly! I would definitely recommend their services.

Kristin Bose in Milwaukee, WI did my bridal hair and it turned out incredible! My hair is stick straight and will never hold a curl, and my dream wedding hair was a full head of hollywood curls. After asking her for the impossible, she delivered! And, it stayed ALL NIGHT! After my trial, she went out and got special supplies just for my hair, she was very responsive to all my texts and was so sweet to work with. She was great! Mane + Mascara provided excellent service for my 2/6/21 wedding! I had Jen for hair and Anna for makeup, in St. Augustine, FL. Both women were professional, friendly, and very attentive to my desired look. I felt very comfortable voicing my likes, as well as what I wanted to change from the hair/makeup trials, and I absolutely loved my bridal look. My makeup looked better than it's ever looked, and my hair was the perfect hairstyle for me! I have oily, acne-prone skin. Usually I can de-shine my face for a few hours but my shininess always peeks through at least midway through the day. Well, Anna was amazing; from when my makeup was applied at 9am, until when I got ready for bed at 3am, I did not once have to fix my makeup. I had my MOH and Bridesmaids looking out for me to make sure I wasn't shiny, and I had mirrors at the reception. Despite a humid, rainy day, and me sweating a ton at the reception, my entire makeup look lasted the entire day with not a single touchup. Even my lipstick retained its color, lasting through water, wine, appetizers, full-course meal, cake, and of course lots of kissing! I was extremely impressed. Jen's work on my hair was equally as impressive. I have fine, oily, long hair - other hair artists advised I get hair extensions to give my hair a fuller look for the wedding, but Jen did a remarkable job and made my hair look thicker and fuller without me having to spend money on any extensions. She managed to make my hair retain curls that lasted from 10am-3am, and that was after going through a humid, thunderstorm-filled day and endured tons of sweat from me dancing most of the night. I highly recommend these ladies and Mane + Mascara!

I was looking for a makeup & hair company that could do both hair & makeup for a very diverse group! The perfect team was sent out. I spoke a ton with Jen before the wedding and she answered every question I had, and was very flexible with the schedule for my wedding morning! My hair and makeup came out absolutely beautiful, along with all of my bridesmaids. Ashley (who did my hair) worked well with me, and even took a risk trying something new - I wanted pearl strands braided into my hair. It came out stunning! I got so many compliments on my hair and my makeup. My makeup artist, Hillary, was also flexible with me when I switched up my makeup on the morning of my wedding. Long story short, I looked and felt like a Disney Princess bride. My bridal party and the ladies in my family all looked and felt beautiful.

Mane and Mascara was just what I needed planning a wedding during pandemic! Jennifer was so understanding with our plans changing several times and worked with me to make the wedding day a breeze. She even accommodated me adding on my mom a couple days before the big day! Loved Jackie and Hillary! Jackie was so fun to have do my hair and had me laughing the whole time. Her warm personality will ease any wedding stress you have. She is very open to any quick changes you need done to make your look complete - she did a great job with my boho loose bun! Hillary made sure she matched my skin tone perfectly for the airbrush and truly took my "natural & glowy" ask to heart. It is hard to have someone nail this without going too overboard. I loved dewey look she perfected!

Only reason I gave four stars and not five was the communication during COVID with having to postpone and change dates was a little rocky with the coordinator but over all I’m so happy with Nina and everything worked out ;)

I contacted Jennifer after finding Mane + Mascara 5 months prior to my wedding. She was very quick to respond and attentive. I was able to do a pre wedding trial, which I highly recommend to get to know your hair stylist and make up artists, it makes the day of so much smoother. Jennifer was very organized, she sent me a timeline of the day of, for myslef and bridesmaids, mother of the bride, and mother of the groom. The day of, I ABSOLUTELY loved my hair, Jennifer is able to recreate anything you want and better. She went out of her way to make sure my hair was on point. Anna and Hillary were the makeup artists for myself and the rest of the bridal party. They were very punctual and prepared. They setup chairs and lighting in the hotel room, it felt like we were at a salon. They both did an amazing job, they listened to everyone's last minute requests to better suit their individual facial features. The environment they created was also very positive and made me feel comfortable the morning of my wedding.

I planned my own wedding from top to bottom. I had to keep to a strict budget, but didn’t want to cut corners. Hair and make up artists were more expensive than I could have dreamed of across the board, and I was getting so discouraged trying to find fantastic quality for a truly reasonable price.... until I found Mane and Mascara. It’s important for you to know that I had actually gotten my hair and make up done by costly artists that had no connection to M&M for my test run thinking the high cost would be justified by unparalleled work. That simply wasn’t the case. I couldn’t stomach paying for yet another test run before the wedding, but also didn’t want to risk going with a brand new company on my wedding day. So I decided on a happy medium - I would do a test run with M&M for my dress rehearsal, and pray that any modifications needed could be sorted out for my wedding the following day. Risky, I know... but, WOW, the artists were not just good, they were phenomenal. Top to bottom, this company is the way to go. Fair prices for work that is second to NONE. There wasn’t one person who didn’t love my hair and my make up for both my wedding and dress rehearsal. But, most importantly, I had never felt more beautiful. Karolina did my make up and Veronica did my hair. Both women were the kindest, most talented artists I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. Each of my bridesmaids, my mom, and my mother in law, were thrilled with their hair and make up, as well. That’s 9 different women with different styles and opinions who were genuinely happy with this company’s work. I simply cannot recommend this company more. Choosing Mane and Mascara for my wedding was one of the best decisions I made. I absolutely love Jen the owner and all of the artists that came out to do all 11 of us (me, bridesmaids, moms etc) They were all wonderful people and I love the way everyone’s hair and makeup turned out. My bridal party chose somewhat difficult looks with really cool braids and they all looked absolutely amazing! Not one complaint from anyone. All artists were prompt and we actually were perfectly on schedule (If not ahead), which I know is usually very hard to do when working with hair and makeup on a wedding timeline. I even decided to see some of the artists for personal use (extensions/hair cut/color) outside of the wedding because I love them so much! HIGHLY recommend!

Savannah is an amazing hair and make up artist. Savannah did my make up and hair for my wedding and she made my dream come true. As I'm a south Indian, I wasn't initially sure for a non Indian to do my Hair and Makeup but to my surprise, Savannah did a fantastic job. Savannah made me try different styles which I wouldn't have tried in a million years. I'm very thankful to her for making my big day more beautiful. Savannah is absolutely AMAZING and I cannot thank her enough for making my wedding hair and makeup dreams come true! Savannah did my hair, nails and makeup for my trail and wedding and it was perfect! My hair has a hard time holding a curl, but with Savannah's skill, my hair held the curl perfectly through rain, 20mph winds and dancing all night! Savannah incorporated the braids and flowers into my hair style even better than I could ever imagine! I completely loved my makeup as well; I have very sensitive skin, but Savannah was able to create the most beautiful look without any irritation! Savannah is also truly one of the sweetest, most genuine people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. I am very grateful for her talent; she made the wedding way less stressful knowing hair, make up and nails would be perfect! Savannah even fixed my nail break that happened one day before our wedding on the middle finger next to the ring finger; she is clearly awesome at everything she does! Jen is amazing! She was the hair stylist for my young daughter E in LA for her competitions in Jan 2019. She was patient and understanding dealing with a 5 year old with sass. Jen is a favorite of my daughter's now and when we go to LA she's always asking when can she see "her stylist." She also went above and beyond bringing in a special product to help keep her hair bobby pins from sliding out. My daughter Es hair is fine and she is growing out her bangs so it's harder to work with. But every hairstyle she did we loved! It was Es favorite thing about her competitions...hair and also the make-up. 😁 I would recommend Jen to anyone everytime! We will definitely come back to her if we get the chance. 😊

Jennifer and Morganne were awesome!! I was planning my wedding from a different state and in only 4 months, and Jennifer went above and beyond to help ease my anxiety with the hair and makeup process. When we arrived in Florida, Jennifer gave me the option of doing a trial before our wedding which gave me a lot of assurance that the day of look was going to be perfect. I was very particular on how I wanted my hair for the wedding and Jennifer made sure I got exactly what I wanted. My mom, sister, and mother in law all also loved their looks! Morganne, Jackie, and Kristen were awesome to work with for our wedding! We had a very early start as our wedding was at 11 AM, but the girls were ready to go bright and early! They really took their time to make sure everyone liked their hair and makeup, and the outcome was gorgeous! Kristen even came back to do a few touch ups for the wedding party in between our ceremony and reception. Communication with Jennifer was super easy- the whole experience was wonderful! I'd definitely recommend Mane and Mascara to any bride in the Jacksonville area!

I hired Kristen for my wedding in Jacksonville and she did hair for 9 people including myself and my make up in under 5 hours. All of the hairstyles were very different and she worked off of pictures we gave her. She did such a great job and got us all done in plenty of time to finish getting ready for the ceremony!

Jennifer Buetow is a seriously talented artist! I wanted an up-do but I was having trouble finding a style that I felt comfortable with and complemented with my overall look (classic, timeless glam). Before finding Mane + Mascara, I had a few unsuccessful trials with other stylists where my up-do looked too big for my head or too messy. Jennifer was able to create the most elegant look that made me feel my best. I received so many compliments on my hair! Not only did she do a great job for me, she knocked it out of the park with my Bridesmaids and my mother. Jen was on time, here pricing was reasonable and she kept us on schedule. More importantly, she was easy to work with and made the overall (often stressful) process enjoyable. I would highly recommend Jennifer Buetow and Mane + Mascara.
