Mane Beauty Parlour

Dawn & a colleague did my hair and make-up, as well as that of my mom and sisters, for my low key Friday wedding. I was coming in from out of town, so we didn't do a trial run, but I was so incredibly pleased. Dawn accommodated my request for a retro updo and also worked with me to get my make-up just right as I feel uncomfortable with too heavy of make-up. Overall, it was great!

I was unable to have Mane Beauty Parlor as my beauty artist for my wedding day. Leading up they were unavailable to consult for simple questions that I had (for example: how long will it take to do all of my girls + the moms hair?). The first trial we had my hair was curled, beautifully, but by the time I left the holding (seriously 5-10 mins after she finished, I hadn’t even left the parking lot) my hair fell and was straight. I let her know this, so we scheduled another hair trial (that I was going to have to pay for). During my makeup trial, she glued my eye shut with eye lash glue, at the time I was chill... but the makeup never truly recovered as there was glue in my eye lashes/eye. It was okay as it was just the trial, I told her no need to restart. The combination of the two things obviously raised concerns. I asked for a second trial for makeup as well, but it was difficult to schedule one. We set the date for April 13th, two weeks before I get a text saying she would need to reschedule our April 6th appointment (which made no sense to me) she was not able to reschedule during a time that works for me until days before my wedding - cutting it far too close. With the lack of communication; I felt as if there were many things more important to them than my most important day. I understand it’s only the most important say to me - but for the price I had paid/was going to pay... I was shocked by the situation. I contacted a couple times with no response during this time. Finally I sent a text saying that I would be going with someone else - to which they promptly replied said okay, offered little apology, and agreed to cancel all future appointments and services... they didn’t even attempt to keep my business. Overall I was very excited to use them as my beauty vendor, but a lot of little things added up that made it an extremely poor experience for me, especially with their discrepancy causing me to have to find a new beauty artist the month before my wedding. I also paid full price for the trial, both hair and makeup + tip, and was offered no compensation even though each were done quickly/ poorly (hair fell, glue from lashes) and did not look correct/did not hold for even my dinner out that evening. Overall the experience left me feeling that they were pretty unprofessional, despite their claim of having expert experience. I wish we could have come to an agreement on having them do it - I was very excited to have them do my hair, but was left in a terrible spot the month before my wedding.

My experience with Mane was excellent! Katie went above and beyond answering every question that I had throughout the entire planning process! I had changed my mind like 5 times about what I wanted. And I asked for advice from Katie on her personal cell phone, she was always prompt and polite and very helpful! I fell in love with the cute salon on my trial, and had arranged for Katie to come to my parents house on the day of the wedding. She was on time and ready to roll! My hair turned out PERFECT just like I wanted, and my bridesmaids looked gorgeous! I’d recommend this salon 10/10!

I love Mane Beauty Parlour so much! Dawn has done my hair for years and does it perfect every time. Dawn did my hair for my wedding and I would choose her again & again. Brandi did my wedding makeup as well as all of my bridesmaids. Brandi did amazing and I felt so beautiful. She is the only person I would choose to do my wedding makeup! So glad I was lucky enough to have these two on my special day. The atmosphere at the salon is wonderful, and everyone is always happy and upbeat making you feel very welcome. I highly recommend using the ladies at Mane Beauty Parlour for your wedding, events, cut/color/style, or for any other service they provide. They are truly exceptional <3
