The Mansion at Eflindale was absolutely gorgeous for our wedding. To start, we booked with the Mansion in January for a September wedding. During that time, I had many questions for Myra as I had lost my notes on numerous occasions. She was very prompt in answering and making sure that everything was set up the way we wanted. The chapel was stunning and it is already decorated with pew bows and florals (for a nominal charge). We used the Dolphin Room for our reception of 40+ guests and people would not stop commenting on how wonderful everything was. The Mansion already had the room decorated with lights and tulle on the ceiling. The in-house caterer provided linens (not a good experience with her, but this review is about the Mansion only). Not enough kind words could be said about Myra. She was absolutely fantastic!! The day of the wedding, I was given one of the rooms in the Mansion to get ready which lead to some awesome photos. The groom was given a room in the church which didn't have the best lighting but it had plenty of room for all the guys. Just know before you book that they don't allow alcohol during the reception, but since we were going with a smaller more intimate reception we didn't care (plus we don't drink anyways). The price is fantastic for everything that you get and Myra herself is worth the booking fee!
Beautiful wedding chapel with lots of history. Perfect for a medium sized wedding.
I just got married at the Mansion at Elfindale in January 2011 and I couldn't have asked for a better place to have my wedding!! The people there were so great to work with and everything flowed just as planned! The venue is absolutely beautiful and has that vintage feel, very cute cozy! All my guests loved the venue and raged about it after the wedding! I would recommend this venue to anyone, it was the perfect venue to stage my vintage, winter wedding!
The chapel was pretty, but the sound was not good. A baby was crying and it echoed so loud that we couldn't hear what the minister was saying.
We chose this venue because of how naturally beautiful the chapel is- really no need for decorations. We had about 50 lit candles on the altar, but that was the only addition on our part.
Myra, the coordinator was such a dream to work with. She was so professional and nice. And on the day of the wedding she brought cookies and water and attended to our every need.
If you get married here, I would highly recommend renting out one of the mansion rooms and getting ready there. It is so convenient and lovely.
There's nothing but great things I can say about this chapel. It was perfect for our ceremony.
We were married at the Elfindale Chapel. Neither of us are affiliated with any religious area of worship so I about fell over when Nate expressed interest in being married in a church (or interest in wedding planning at all). Sometimes he can be a traditionalist-and I wanted to let him have his way on whatever he felt was important-so we chose this beautiful, small and very old chapel in our hometown. We had our ceremony at night and invited our family and closest friends and lit the church with only candles. I remember this part more than any other and it was absolutely beautiful and completely meaningful. My only complaint is that the minister kept saying that the wife should serve her husband and I'm pretty sure that Nate should serve me just the same.
