We could not have asked for a better photographer on our special day. My husband, Andrew, and I got married in September in Wilmington, Vermont. Living in Maine, we were unable to meet Julie in person prior to the wedding, but she was so helpful, responsive, and professional from the beginning. She answered all of our questions and even offered to run local errands for us if needed. We felt so confident going into the event, and she did not disappoint! Julie was very clear in communicating with our guests which helped to keep everything running smoothly. Half the time she felt like part of the family getting right into the action and the other half she stayed in the background catching beautiful moments. When we received our gallery, we could not have been more pleased with the quality of the photos and how wonderfully she captured our day. 10/10 recommend!

Julie is a magician. She is by far the best photographer in the Brattleboro area. We hired her for our engagement shoot and our wedding, and we will be hiring her again for our maternity and new born photographs. She has a great eye for detail and will leave no leaf unturned or shirt unbuttoned! The website she provides for you to view your photos is very user friendly as well. I recommend Julie to anyone looking to photograph any occasion in this area!

Julie said yes to us after our first photographer suddenly said she can’t do our wedding. And it turn out that Julie is the one for us. Julie was a fantastic photographer. She has the ability to capture emotions and have the eye also to capture the “ real “ moments when we weren’t posed. We are lucky to have found her. So if you want that “real “ moment being captured by the lens get Julie!

I won an engagement shoot with Julie during a bridal expo (last one before COVID RESTRICTIONS) we had already hired our wedding photographers but loved the idea of being able to get more photos! We had our engagement photos with our wedding photographers in the spring and unfortunately didn’t love them. We enjoy the photographers but felt the photos weren’t the best lighting or poses. We scheduled with Julie for a fall shoot and I was very nervous after the last photos. I told Julie about our previous experience and she was super understanding and supportive! I told her that if a pose didn’t look good she could be honest and she told me she would never say a pose didn’t look good but would just instruct a pose change if she felt it didn’t look right. Julie is FABULOUS! She was friendly, helped with our dog and knew how to *bark* to get her attention for some photos! And the pictures came out PERFECT! She took us to several beautiful locations near her home and they made for a perfect back drop! I’m so grateful to have had this shoot and will absolutely use her for future photography needs!

Julie was AMAZING! We got married in the evening on the beach in Ogunquit, Maine and Julie drove the distance to photograph our special night. She didn't hesitate to get down in the sand either! Our pictures are absolutely beautiful. Not only did she capture the tender moments, she gave us a lifetime of memories. Thank you Julie!!

Julie helped make our day amazing! She made us feel comfortable every step of the way, and just fit right in with our guests. This was a destination wedding for us, and Julie traveled to our location to scout out ideal photography spots so we didn't have to. By the time we came home from our honeymoon, Julie had an online album ready for us! She worked with us within our budget, sent us beautiful prints, and a fun usb drive with our pictures. All I can say is wow! Julie out did herself on my wedding day! It was one of those worst case scenerios where it started down pouring at the exact moment you walk down the aisle, along with some thunder and lightning. No biggie! With the rain, thunder and lighting she still got all the candids and all the posed pictures we could want! They are amazing quality, and I love them. Julie worked well with our crazy wedding party. Julie was absolutely amazing from start to finish. My husband and I planned a very laid back wedding with our closest family and friends (really a weekend-long party) and Julie was completely open to just going with the flow. Our engagement session was so much fun and she brought up a lot of important points that we wanted to consider before the big day. On our wedding day, she was right on time and was extremely helpful - not only did she take photos but she also helped prepare us for the day, gave us some last minute tips, and helped us get ready when time got tight! Even still, she made sure to capture all of the important moments. Her work is amazing and our day would have been much less special without her. She did a great job of being everywhere at once to make sure the important moments didn't go unnoticed. Would recommend Julie a thousand times over!

Julie was amazing from our engagement photos straight through to our wedding day. Always making us feeling comfortable during the photos. She's accommodating and so friendly, even brought us a wedding gift! We can't say enough nice things about her!

Julie was amazing! We gave her very little by way of specifics, and she was was able to guide us for some great shots. She was great when working with our young nephews, and kept our chaos very organized. This was great because the temps were in the low 20s for our outdoor ceremony. Julie brought a lot of energy, and was just generally fun to have around! She did everything she could to help out pre ceremony, and made sure we were getting the experience we wanted. We would absolutely work with Julie again and again.

Julie is the best! She was able to shoot our elopement on a short notice. She even checked out the place of elopement two days prior in order to know what she was working with/prepare. She is super professional, funny and sweet and it helped make our elopement extra special!! She was only with us for about 45 min and gave us a fair price for the work. Pictures turned out beautiful and we are now having a hard time picking which to use firs! I absolutely recommend Maple Leaf Photography to anyone looking for top quality, professional photos in southern Vermont! I would definitely call MLP again as needed.

I can't even begin to describe how grateful we are to have found Julie. She is about the sweetest person I have met and while everything that could have gone wrong with our elopement went wrong, Julie remained the constant calm during the storm. We haven't received all the wedding photos just yet but in the ones we have seen, she managed to capture our relationship perfectly. Julie remained in contact with me while the wedding was approaching and even came up with a plan B for us since the weather took a turn and ruined a lot of our plans. She also gave us a very thoughtful wedding gift that we were not expecting at all! So happy we found her!

I hired to Julie off a recommendation from a friend. From start to finish she was there for me. Our first meeting was over a glass of wine. I felt like I was meeting up with an old friend (she even picked up the tab). She offered us a free engagement session that my fiancé was totally reluctant to do, but he went and had a great time. She made it fun! On our wedding day, she arrived an hour early, she told me she wanted to make sure she didn’t leave anything out. She not only was our photographer, but was there to help with every detail we managed to forget. The photos she captured were amazing. She didn’t miss one special moment! I would recommend her to anyone.

Julie was the photographer at a wedding I was a bridesmaid in. She was so much fun! When it came time for photos she made things relaxed - no one felts stiff! She ran around doing unexpected posed photos for guests all the while with a smile on her face still laughing with each one of them! I can't wait to until I get engaged to give her a call!

Julie was amazing! She flew to NC to capture my, what was supposed to be beach wedding, but turned into a monsoon. It didn't matter though because she quickly adapted to the situation and took control! She was wonderful with everyone in my wedding party. Making us laugh when we wanted to cry. We used Julie at Maple Leaf Photography for our wedding photos this fall. We couldn’t be any happier with how everything came out. We expected they would turn out nice but what she gave us was above and beyond our expectations. I just love our wedding pictures!! She has a way of getting two very non-photogenic people to look great! That really does take talent. We really enjoyed her personality and willingness to go the extra mile. We got married on top of a mountain and even though she had a bad ankle she made the hike anyways! We also got a really nice, personalized thumb drive with all our photos. Also, her price was more than reasonable. We would highly recommend her!

Julie is wonderful! We met with her a few times before the wedding and also did a family/engagement shoot with her. She is funny, fun to work with but keeps it professional and makes posing for pictures natural and effortless- even for people like us who are a bit camera shy!
