Hello, and welcome! We’re Jesse and Evelyn, the heart and soul behind Maples Edge Wedding Venue, and we are truly overjoyed to share this chapter of our lives with you. Over 15 years ago, we made the beautiful choice to commit to one another, and today, we’re honored to help others begin their own love stories in the place we’ve come to call home. Our love began across state lines—separated by miles but united by a longing for something more. After countless weekends flying across the country, our hearts knew what our souls had always felt: we were meant to be. Jesse, in the truest act of love, moved from Texas to Maryland to marry Evelyn, the one who made his world complete. From there, life led us to North Carolina, where we’ve spent the last 11 years, cherishing each moment and savoring the beauty of a place that has become as dear to us as the love we share. Our journey into the wedding industry began with a shared dream—a vision of weddings set against the idyllic backdrop of the North Carolina countryside. When we discovered this enchanting property in the historic town of Harmony, we knew for certain that God was gently guiding us. The name alone seemed to whisper that this would be the perfect place for couples to start their forever—together, just as we had. Little did we know, Harmony was more than just a name; it carried with it a rich history of love stories, of people finding their soulmates and building lives side by side. How could we resist being a part of that magic?

As empty nesters, we’ve been blessed with five beautiful children, whose laughter and love filled our hearts. Last year, we had the incredible privilege of seeing two of our children marry the loves of their lives. The joy and beauty of witnessing their weddings only deepened our passion for helping other couples find their forever. Now, it’s just us and our playful fur baby, Snoopy, who reminds us every day of the joy in life’s simple moments. Our faith is the cornerstone of our love and our lives. It teaches us to cherish and honor each other, to love as we’ve been loved, and to extend that love to every couple we have the privilege of hosting here. Marriage has always been the foundation of everything we do. From the way we work together, cook together, and laugh together, to the way we show up for each other every day, our love is the heart of this venue. We believe in the power of love and in the lifelong adventure that marriage promises.
