r communication/demeanor. All I can say is READ YOUR CONTRACT. I originally thought I was getting the 10 hour package, but the contract actually stated 8. Not a huge deal except she had to miss most of the getting ready. The day before the wedding, the second photographer dropped out and she reluctantly found a replacement (contract doesn't state you get one). When we got to the venue, the photographers took all of my stuff, so I couldn’t get ready. This held everything up and we were nearly an hour behind schedule. She decided to do our “first look” surrounded by the entire wedding party - not an intimate moment. I didn't get certain pictures that I originally requested. I received 288 digital pictures but was not involved in the selection process. I reached out to her with this exact message: You got some really amazing shots of me and [husband's name]! But I feel like we are missing a lot of the ceremony, reception, and other guests. I don’t know the best way to put this, but I’m concerned about the lack of certain photos. You got some amazing shots of [husband’s name] dancing with his mom, but there was only one of me dancing with my dad. Is there any way I could get additional photos from you or [second photographer’s name]? They don’t need to be edited or anything. She eventually agreed to provide 12 more photos and I had to press to get the “sneak peek” photos that were missing. I didn't get to select the other 12 either and I was unsatisfied again. I emailed her in a similar manner to before and ended up with a text pointing to the contract, stating the photos are copyright owned and cannot be given out, then just flat out ending it all with a small refund. After crying it out, I spoke to my mom who pointed out that she doesn't recall seeing either photographer taking pictures of the guests (which is what I'm asking for). I waited until 6 days after the refund was due to ask about it. I began the conversation with my condolences on her dog's passing and moved onto asking about the refund. I assumed she was filled with grief, that she completely forgot. Instead, I received this gem: I have given you more than agreed upon on your contract to include a free engagement session and a photobook that will be coming in the mail. As well as offering a refund because you are so unhappy with the services. Please stop texting me very inconsiderately and rudely. For both the book and refund you will receive tracking numbers via email soon. In addition to all of this, she sent compressed pictures that are way too small to ever purchase a poster sized print (if I ever wanted that). Her shutter speed was completely wrong for this type of setting, which explains all of the blurry photos. TL;DR: Great with engagement session, horrible with event photos where you need groups and action shots. Will not let you select your own photos. Provides lower resolution pictures that are blurry. Very horrible attitude.
