We hosted our rehearsal dinner here, and reserved a bridal suite and boardroom to plan our wedding at Cabrillo Pavilion across the street. Sonya Krimsky was very helpful, especially with last minute requests for our dinner and food service. Cristina Rojas was very helpful and responsive with our block room reservations. Everything went just great and their staff was extremely kind and responsive. The dinner was held outside on their bocce court and was so beautiful decorated with lights and candles and the food was delicious. They accommodated all dietary requests. Everyone was so happy with it. They helped us have a fantastic weekend!

We had multiple events at the hotel throughout our wedding weekend, including our guest room block, welcome party, rehearsal dinner, and farewell brunch, and the team exceeded our expectations every step of the way. From the beginning, the hotel staff was organized, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our wedding weekend a success. Managing a large room block can be complicated, but the process was seamless for both us and our guests. The team was always available to answer questions, accommodate requests, and help ensure everyone felt welcome. The event spaces were beautiful, the food was outstanding, and the service was exceptional. Our welcome party, rehearsal dinner, and brunch were all executed flawlessly, allowing us to truly enjoy the weekend with our family and friends. Every staff member (especially Sonya) we interacted with was professional, kind, and attentive. A special thank you to the events team for their partnership throughout the planning process and for helping create such a memorable experience for us and our guests. We are incredibly grateful and would highly recommend this hotel for anyone planning a wedding or special event.

big reason we picked Mar Monte over another venue. We also went with Mar Monte due to its location on the beach and more "classic" Santa Barbara vibe (the recent remodel looks great!). And the food was so, so good. We greatly enjoyed the tasting and had zero changes we wanted made to the final menu. Everyone was very happy with their dinners at the actual reception, and we got a lot of compliments from guests afterward! Service was right on schedule during the reception, and staff were very attentive to our guests. I was also impressed with their cocktails! My husband and I were able to take on-the-beach photos during dinner, and we all enjoyed the mountain and ocean views from the ballroom. We would definitely re-book if we were to do everything over again. (We had 90 guests attend, and had everyone plus a dance floor in the Pacific Ballroom, plus used Seaview for the photobooth and bar -- everything fit perfectly!).

She answered every question of mine in a timely manner and never could I tell that she was annoyed with my indecisiveness. I knew your hotel was the one but I was still indecisive because I wanted an outdoor reception. Krista helped weigh the pros and cons with me and even offered some suggestions on how she could accommodate me. She helped secure my decision. Each time I asked her a question; I expected negative feedback but never had that. She knew exactly how to ease my mind and accommodate me. Even when I was freaking out on the cart ride to walk down the aisle, she was so calm and friendly. At the reception she even offered to snap a picture for one of my guests, She was THE best and I am truly going to miss talking and working with her. The hotel was fabulous! We had the Santa Cruz Suite. Day one, my fiancé (now husband) and I received a bottle of wine and some cheeses. What a great surprise that was! Then on the morning of our wedding, the staff delivered my girls and I mimosas and to top it off on our wedding night, my husband and I walked into our suite to see rose petals on our bed with wine and chocolate covered strawberries. We totally got the VI P treatment. Not to mention, some of my guests were also upgraded rooms even when the hotel was booked for the weekend. Their rooms were also very large and I enjoyed the hairdryer as well. Joel, the Food & Beverage Manager created a signature drink on our wedding rehearsal night out at the pool bar. My guests really enjoyed the ambiance out there as we sat by the fire in comfy lounge chairs. The Banquet Manager, Lorenzo was also great! His staff helped us with setup and take-down. I had so many guests tell me that our wedding was the best ever. After hearing it more than a few times I started asking what they liked best and some responses I got were “the chicken was delicious and not your typical wedding food” and “the wait staff was so on top of it.” I seriously cannot that your hotel, Krista, Lorenzo, and Joel enough. It’s truly bittersweet for me that the entire process is over because it was such a great experience. To anyone considering the Hyatt Centric Santa Barbara for their wedding ceremony and reception, I highly recommend t. To Krista’s manager, she deserves every raise available to her and so much praise. She truly made this experience what it was for me. Thank you all at the Hyatt Centric Santa Barbara.
