I wasn’t big on flowers for my wedding because of cost of florals these days. Marathon Florist worked well within my budget and provided flowers even more beautiful than I could have imagined. I decided to have my bouquet preserved last minute because of how beautiful they were.

Dori was magnificent! From the planning process right up to the day of - everything was seamless. Her work is incredible. Our vision was to go tropical for the ceremony and more sultry jungle for the reception. She executed this vision perfectly.

Dori and her team were a pleasure to work with! They matched my idea perfectly and created the most wonderful floral arrangements. I am so thankful they were available my wedding weekend. Also for getting married Mothers Day Weekend, they were incredibly affordable! If they are available I highly recommend booking them asap!

Dori is incredible!! My wedding was canceled to due to Hurricane Ian on the west coast so we planned a new wedding in the keys in less than 2 months. Dori happily agreed to take our last minute wedding and worked with me to create my dream within our budget. The flowers were incredible, everything was better than I could have ever imagined. She completely made my vision come to life, I cannot say enough good things about her and her team!

I have to say I’m not very big on writing reviews but our experience with Marathon Florist with our wedding was so above and beyond good that I had to! Marathon Florist made my vision come true even better than I imagined! The bouquets we wanted were tropical, colorful, and bright and boy did they deliver! All my bridesmaids and multiple guests were absolutely blown away with how they turned out! If I could give more than 5 stars I would - DEFINITELY recommend! There were so many little details, for example adding pearl bracelets for the Mother and Mother in Law corsages, that they went over with us that really made a difference! All communication was prompt and no detail was overlooked! Thank you for making our day so beautiful and special.

The Marathon Florist is amazing!! I wanted to add blue into my bouquet and they did an amazing job adding different blue flowers and they even added a dusty blue ribbon which matched perfectly. They made my bouquet look better than I had ever envisioned!

AVOID. Marathon Florist was a part of my wedding package bundle and I had to find a different florist. I would send them an email asking for a phone/video call, it took them over a week to answer me back by email & they weren't interested in setting up a call with me, it was like pulling teeth. Too busy for phone calls and they want to do everything by email, which is IMPOSSIBLE. When going over flower choices, I expressed what my wedding vision was & they only wanted to provide specifically certain flowers and not even attempt to look for the types of flowers I wanted. Their vision > brides vision. I was willing to pay additional for my flower options outside of my package price, and they weren't willing to follow my vision for my dream wedding. Avoid unless you want unwanted stress and headaches.

I had a vision and this team made it come to life!!! I could not be happier with all of the little details and vision Dori and her team created for us. Planning from out of state is always stressful but this team is everything!!! We are so thankful and had the most amazing day with a gorgeous touch! Thank you marathon florist team! -The Haugheys

Our flowers were absolutely beautiful!! I was a Bride that was terrible at explaining what I wanted, or even knowing what I wanted... they took the few pictures I provided and came up with the most beautiful bouquets and arrangements! They were very responsive and I'd highly recommend.

While the florist was included as part of our venue’s wedding package, I am so grateful that that florist was Dori & team! I found communication to be very easy and the options to upgrade what came in our package was very reasonably priced. When the flowers were delivered the day of, everyone in my room gasped, they were stunning. Marathon Florist absolutely nailed the vision I had. 10/10 would use again.

This florist came with a package put together through our venue. Her work was beautiful and she was super reasonably priced! I didn’t interact much with her as the coordinator from the venue did most of the communications. I was very happy with our florals and definitely recommend her.

Dori certainly has the vision for flowers and her arrangements and table settings for my daughter's wedding were lovely. Truly it was very pretty. Where she lacks is her communication and connection. We went weeks on end with NO response to emails or phone calls from my daughter or her planner. When she did reply it was brief "all is fine, sorry I've been busy". I certainly do understand how crazy times are, but at least a note/call saying "I got your note but am swamped" or something to that effect. I honestly thought I would be finding a new florist at the last minute then suddenly she responded. In addition, on the wedding day she was very curt and unfriendly. When she moved the flower arch and my daughter's planner inquired Dori was very rude and said the new location had been the location all along. We had plenty of emails and photos to prove otherwise. Again, things do change given weather and such, but communication is key. In addition, when you meet a family on the wedding day can you not at least fake being happy for them. I understand her own life may have been crap that day but really you are in a hospitality field. So while I can say your flowers will look very nice, I think the lack of communication and difficult personality would push me to recommend one of the other beautiful floral designers in the area.

Marathon Florist saved the day for me when another Key West-based florist essentially ghosted me a month before my wedding. The owner, Dori, was able to quickly pull together a proposal for me at the last minute and was so kind and easy to work with that she made a stressful situation feel simple. BOOK DORI right away!!! I planned my Key Largo wedding all the way from Charleston, SC, and I gave her COMPLETE control over the flowers and she honestly blew me away. I almost broke into happy tears when she brought in the bouquets, boutonnières and the flower girls crown. The months leading up to my wedding day, I sent her some images and she knew exactly the vibe i was going for. It was the perfect tropical romantic wedding I’ve always dreamed of! Dori did an incredible job with my flowers for my wedding! I came to her with pictures of my dream wedding and she just made it all work. She planned way ahead of time even letting me know that lavender was not in season during my wedding, but she can order dried lavender which helped capture exactly what I wanted. The flowers were breathtaking and everything arrived on time with no stress or hassle! If you are needing someone to customize your exact floral arrangements, I recommend calling Dori as she will make your dreams come true!

My experience working with Dori at Marathon Florist was simply amazing! It was very easy to work with her and plan the flowers for my wedding remotely because it was a destination wedding. First off, Dori was my favorite person to work with out of all of our vendors! She’s the sweetest and really cares to make everything perfect for you. She took the time to listen and figure out exactly what my vision was. We got married during Tropical Storm Eta (so lots of last minute changes) Dori went with the flow and had everything looking perfect like it was exactly what we had planned for. I had a small elopement in the keys so I could get beautiful pictures . The florals they made for us were perfect and added to the beauty of backdrop of the Florida keys. Dori even made the cutest boutonniere for our son. It was a surprise and such a special touch. I sent her a picture of the type of bouquet I liked. We communicated regularly and on the day of the wedding I had the most beautiful bouquet, boutonnieres, and table arrangements waiting for me. She even got me the perfect orchid for my hair that really completed my wedding look. I highly recommend using Marathon florist. Picking a florist was the most nerve wracking part of the wedding planning process, because I did not know how to help someone see my vision from afar. The moment I messaged Dori, I knew she was the one. She did not give me a cookie cutter response, she really listened to me, my flower choices, my goals, and she responded in a way, that I knew that she got me and my vision! For a moment, I had a scare, because someone else had gotten to Dori about my date first, but then all the stars aligned and she told me that she was all mine. I was so right about her. Due to Covid-19, the unthinkable happened and we were postponed. My now husband and I were absolutely devastated. Dori, along with all of my other vendors, rallied together to find me a new date for our wedding, and they stood by me through the entire quarantine and replanning process. I got frequent unsolicited texts from Dori, just to ask if I was ok. She answered every text I ever sent, whether frantic, at an inappropriate hour, etc... She was always there for me, to keep my spirits up and keep me positive. Then as our new wedding date approached, we were threatened with a hurricane cancellation. Dori never faltered, she stayed strong for me and when the day finally came, it was a dream come true! My vision and my dream, was brought to life even better than I imagined; and without a single drop of rain. Our wedding was absolutely magical, and I am thankful, everyday, that I found the right team, and the most amazing florist ever. If you are even mildly contemplating whether or not Dori is a good fit... STOP driving yourself crazy!! SHE IS YOUR GIRL! Thank you, Dori for everything! Dori came highly recommended by locals in the area and now I know why! She is truly talented as well as personable and responsive. I had to put my planning trip to the Keys on hold during the pandemic and never got to see flowers or arrangements in person and had to trust photos and descriptions for my big day. Everything worked out better than I could have ever imagined and the flowers came out perfect! Dori was even able to incorporate my mom's almost 50-year old lace from her wedding dress into my bouquet.

Marathon florist is who you want for your wedding big or small. Dori is truly incredible as her talent and creations are breathtaking. She took away so much stress from planning designs for my wedding. I'm so fortunate to have been able to work with her as she is the best and gets booked very fast. Due to the pandemic, our long awaited and planned wedding was cancelled. Not wanting to wait any longer, my now-husband and I decided to plan a micro wedding in the Keys instead! Everything came together in about 1 week, including the beautiful flowers provided by Marathon Florist. Dori came recommended by our cake vendor, and I can now see why! Since everything was SO last minute, understandably the flower selection was somewhat limited. But Dori worked with me and gave suggestions for an arrangement for my bouquet and a couple of centerpieces which I really loved. She delivered the bridal bouquet personally to my hotel room and the other arrangements to the dinner table at the hotel's restaurant. I was stunned to see that she included some gorgeous white orchids even though we originally discussed how its too last minute and too pricey to get them. Such an awesome surprise! To top it all off, Dori's service was super reasonable in price. Thank you so much, Dori , for making our spontaneous nuptials feel that much more festive!
