Dori was magnificent! From the planning process right up to the day of - everything was seamless. Her work is incredible. Our vision was to go tropical for the ceremony and more sultry jungle for the reception. She executed this vision perfectly.

I have to say I’m not very big on writing reviews but our experience with Marathon Florist with our wedding was so above and beyond good that I had to! Marathon Florist made my vision come true even better than I imagined! The bouquets we wanted were tropical, colorful, and bright and boy did they deliver! All my bridesmaids and multiple guests were absolutely blown away with how they turned out! If I could give more than 5 stars I would - DEFINITELY recommend! There were so many little details, for example adding pearl bracelets for the Mother and Mother in Law corsages, that they went over with us that really made a difference! All communication was prompt and no detail was overlooked! Thank you for making our day so beautiful and special.

While the florist was included as part of our venue’s wedding package, I am so grateful that that florist was Dori & team! I found communication to be very easy and the options to upgrade what came in our package was very reasonably priced. When the flowers were delivered the day of, everyone in my room gasped, they were stunning. Marathon Florist absolutely nailed the vision I had. 10/10 would use again.

This florist came with a package put together through our venue. Her work was beautiful and she was super reasonably priced! I didn’t interact much with her as the coordinator from the venue did most of the communications. I was very happy with our florals and definitely recommend her.

Dori certainly has the vision for flowers and her arrangements and table settings for my daughter's wedding were lovely. Truly it was very pretty. Where she lacks is her communication and connection. We went weeks on end with NO response to emails or phone calls from my daughter or her planner. When she did reply it was brief "all is fine, sorry I've been busy". I certainly do understand how crazy times are, but at least a note/call saying "I got your note but am swamped" or something to that effect. I honestly thought I would be finding a new florist at the last minute then suddenly she responded. In addition, on the wedding day she was very curt and unfriendly. When she moved the flower arch and my daughter's planner inquired Dori was very rude and said the new location had been the location all along. We had plenty of emails and photos to prove otherwise. Again, things do change given weather and such, but communication is key. In addition, when you meet a family on the wedding day can you not at least fake being happy for them. I understand her own life may have been crap that day but really you are in a hospitality field. So while I can say your flowers will look very nice, I think the lack of communication and difficult personality would push me to recommend one of the other beautiful floral designers in the area.

Dori did an incredible job with my flowers for my wedding! I came to her with pictures of my dream wedding and she just made it all work. She planned way ahead of time even letting me know that lavender was not in season during my wedding, but she can order dried lavender which helped capture exactly what I wanted. I had a small elopement in the keys so I could get beautiful pictures . The florals they made for us were perfect and added to the beauty of backdrop of the Florida keys. Dori even made the cutest boutonniere for our son. It was a surprise and such a special touch. I sent her a picture of the type of bouquet I liked. Picking a florist was the most nerve wracking part of the wedding planning process, because I did not know how to help someone see my vision from afar. The moment I messaged Dori, I knew she was the one. She did not give me a cookie cutter response, she really listened to me, my flower choices, my goals, and she responded in a way, that I knew that she got me and my vision! For a moment, I had a scare, because someone else had gotten to Dori about my date first, but then all the stars aligned and she told me that she was all mine. I was so right about her. Due to Covid-19, the unthinkable happened and we were postponed. My now husband and I were absolutely devastated. Dori, along with all of my other vendors, rallied together to find me a new date for our wedding, and they stood by me through the entire quarantine and replanning process. I got frequent unsolicited texts from Dori, just to ask if I was ok. She answered every text I ever sent, whether frantic, at an inappropriate hour, etc... Dori came highly recommended by locals in the area and now I know why! She is truly talented as well as personable and responsive. I had to put my planning trip to the Keys on hold during the pandemic and never got to see flowers or arrangements in person and had to trust photos and descriptions for my big day. Everything worked out better than I could have ever imagined and the flowers came out perfect! Dori was even able to incorporate my mom's almost 50-year old lace from her wedding dress into my bouquet.

Due to the pandemic, our long awaited and planned wedding was cancelled. Not wanting to wait any longer, my now-husband and I decided to plan a micro wedding in the Keys instead! Everything came together in about 1 week, including the beautiful flowers provided by Marathon Florist. Dori came recommended by our cake vendor, and I can now see why! Since everything was SO last minute, understandably the flower selection was somewhat limited. But Dori worked with me and gave suggestions for an arrangement for my bouquet and a couple of centerpieces which I really loved. She delivered the bridal bouquet personally to my hotel room and the other arrangements to the dinner table at the hotel's restaurant. I was stunned to see that she included some gorgeous white orchids even though we originally discussed how its too last minute and too pricey to get them. Such an awesome surprise! When you’re planning a destination wedding, there are a lot of unknowns. From our first phone meeting, I knew I had made the right choice in selecting marathon florist for my wedding. She was extremely personable and accommodating. I received so many compliments on my wedding flowers from guests. From my floral beach arch, lanterns, and centerpieces, everything was perfect. You will not be disappointed with her!

In planning for my wedding, I did a crazy amount of research on all vendors. I visited KW to meet in-person with vendors, except for Dori at Marathon Florist (an hour drive). I did have a call with Dori before the trip. There are different Keys florists: 1. Wedding/Event Specialists, 2. Everyday Florists, and 3. Hybrids. Dori is most definitely the first. Due to our immediate connection, her extensive experience, positive reviews, owner-to-bride attention only, and passionate personality – my decision was a no brainer and I went with her. Dori’s warm personality, passion, and spirit is evident each time we spoke – even over text. Dori will and does work around the clock for her brides and is one of the hardest worker’s I know. Her shop is adorable, packed with décor to choose from, and always has an open door for her brides. Dori’s floral and décor work at our wedding were beyond amazing (will add pics soon). My mom is a designer and she was blown away how impeccable Dori did with the decoration, and that is a lot coming from my mom. Additionally, her prices are reasonable for the market. She is not over priced like some wedding florists. Little did I know the amount of continuous one-on-one communications and overall fun/excitement we both equally had designing my wedding. We legit became good friends and communicated about things that had nothing to do with the wedding. Eventually, we were completing each other’s sentences. Make your life easy and hire Marathon Florist. Flowers, décor, and service is out of this world. And, the experience couldn’t have been better!!!

Magical Wedding! Dori with Marathon Florist is THE BEST! Dori took my niece’s vision board and created the most amazing wedding. Dori’s passion, her uniqueness, and her creativity are magical! Marathon Florist was fantastic. I was a little off schedule and last minute on flowers. They handled everything fantastically. I even added something last minute and the owner was incredibly kind. Which is nice when you add something last minute. Everything was delivered in the morning on time and it was all above and beyond what was expected.

Wow! Wow! Wow! My husband and I got engaged in Africa and there is a native flower that grows wild on the Mountain Side. When I saw a photo in a bridal magazine of a bride with that flower in her bouquet I couldn't believe when I read that it was Marathon Florist that had created the arrangement! I will never have enough words to capture the beauty and glory that Dori brought to our wedding through our flowers. What she delivered was even more beautiful than I could have ever imagined! And all of it came at a super reasonable and very affordable price! (Her quote was the lowest of the 3 we received from florists in the Keys.) Choosing Dori and Marathon Florist was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding day and I highly recommend them to anyone in need of floral services in the Keys! You will not regret your choice!!

If you are getting married in the Keys- You MUST have Dori do the floral honors. Her work was beautiful, elegant, and more than I could ever hope for. I was blown away with her work and all my guest commented highly on how gorgeous it all was from the decor, to the center pieces, to the bouquets. She knocked it out of the park and really brought to life what we were looking for, she was extremely easy to work with and was an upmost professional.

We recently had our wedding at the Postcard Inn in Islamorada, Florida. Being that this was a destination wedding, we were not familiar with the local vendors. While researching, I came across Dori at Marathon Florist. After speaking with her on the phone and through email, I knew that I was in good hands. We had our wedding at Banana Bay Resort in Marathon and Dori was our florist. I live in London and planning a wedding from abroad is not easy, she was amazing and very helpful. She understood very quickly what I wanted and the arrangements on the day were beautiful. Thanks Dori for making our day extra special!

We celebrated our 30th Wedding Anniversary with a Vow Renewal on the beach at Marathon Key, having chosen Marathon Florist from our home in the UK... and we were so glad we did! Such beautiful arrangements! They were astonishingly gorgeous, and my daughters and I felt totally honoured to carry them! They were equally beautiful on the cake, on the arch, in our hair and on the groom and best man, and we were delighted! Dori interpreted our colour theme so well and they really were a work of art - if we lived over there, we would be knocking on their door all the time!! We recommend them without a doubt! Thank you!

Dori is wonderful! She has a very personal approach and made sure not a single little detail I had in mind for our decor and flowers was left out. Our centerpieces, the arch, my bouquet and boutonnieres were gorgeous. We couldn't be happier with Dori's work and can't recommend her enough!

I cannot say enough about Dori and her amazing work ethic, gorgeous creations, and ability to firmly realize the vision that the couple has for their wedding. Growing up in Connecticut, with a groom that had spent 10 years summering in the Hamptons, I knew I wanted a New England, blue hydrangea chic wedding-while in the dead of summer in late August at Hawks Cay in the florida keys. From the moment I first made contact with Dori, I knew she would be the one to make this vision a reality. I had sent her pictures of Boutonnière's for the men that had hydrangea's in them, and she nicely asserted that within an hour those would be wilted and useless, and offered me viable options instead. Thank GOODNESS she had the forsight and integrity to show me that what I wanted was not a reality in this hot, humid environment. Dori went and sent emails and pictures of other alternatives that ended up exceeding the original vision. When my bouquet was delivered, all my friends were agog over the chic and different flowers that were arranged-One especially was obsessed with the spiky blue flowers that were in the hair comb that dori also provided as well as the bouquet. But Dori outdid herself with the men's Boutonnière's, and most especially, our fur-baby's collar. Sporting a Vineyard Vines bow tie, our rescue dog Parker found his tie adorned with the matching flowers of the groom's boutonniers and, although I was enamored with my bouquet, when I saw the bow tie decorated I was brought to tears of joy. I cannot stress enough how accessible (she responds within minutes via text) and receptive Dori is to your wants and needs. She is absolutely a dream to work with, and is willing to work with your budget to make your dream wedding a reality.
