Maravelas did an excellent job with catering for our wedding! Leading up to the big day, they were always very responsive and accommodating to our needs. I had cookies for a sweets table (not provided by Maravelas), and they even offered to set them out for us too! The catering staff did an excellent job the night of the wedding as well. We had quite a few guests with dietary restrictions, and they made sure they all got their special plates.

We just loved this place! Their food is fantastic! Maria and the staff are great too. They were always upbeat and extremely knowledgeable. Of all of the many things on the "to do list" for the wedding, we always knew Maravela's Banquets had it covered and we didn't have to worry about the reception. We would highly recommend Maravela's, you won't be disappointed.

From start to finish I had a wonderful experience with Maravela's! Our DJ actually recommended them and I could not have been more pleased! We had an individual tasting and Kali had everything organized and ready to go! She was very helpful and answered all of my questions very professionally. When we communicated through email she had quick responses and professional answers. Maria ended up taking over for the day of my wedding and she was also very attentive. All of the servers and the bartender were friendly and made my friends and family feel right at home. If you love good food and a comfortable atmosphere I highly recommend hiring this company!!

Maravela's was absolutely amazing and I would recommend them to any bride/ event planner! Maria and Kali worked with me from the beginning to plan a fabulous menu, bring in servers and bartenders, and even set up ice,linen, and plate delivery/set up. They have a huge event each year to showcase menu items so you know all your choices which we loved so we had an opportunity to try everything. They were never pushy and I always felt like I was still making the decisions rather than being pushed into what is "normal" for weddings. Maria was there the morning of to set up while we were decorating and she helped keep me sane and handle set up. They are true professionals and experts at what they do. They offer everything from just the catering, to full service, linen and glass rental.

Maravela's was exceptional. We had the ceremony and reception here and things couldn't have went smoother. They worked with all my vendors without any issues. All my emails, phone calls, and questions were answered promptly. The food was amazing, the price was amazing, everything was set up the way I wanted it and Maria made sure everything flowed as it was supposed to on our wedding day. From beginning to end Maria had everything covered as my day of coordinator and more! I would definitely recommend Maravela's for any event!

I was so so so happy with Maria and Maravela's Catering. Maria was so professional and so kind every time I spoke with her. You can tell she loves her job and takes her time with each event. We had a private tasting before selecting our menu items, and then we sat down to discuss prices, linens, dishware, etc. She covered every little detail. She had so many pictures of other weddings she had done at our reception venue (The Byron Colby Barn in Prairie Crossing) and was very familiar with their procedures and policies. At the wedding, we had servers and bartenders who worked the room the entire evening and we didn't have any problems. Our food was served buffet style and we received so many compliments on the quality of the food. Even now, 3 weeks later, people are still commenting to us on how much they loved the food. On top of all that, the cost fit exactly in our budget. You won't be disappointed if you use Maravela's. They were by far one of my favorite vendors.

loved this catering company!! maria was so flexible to work with; she let us switch the salad to a recipe that i had and brewed coffee from our favorite local cafe. the food was amazing and the wait staff were also excellent.

I have worked with Maria at Maravela's for various other catering events, so naturally I wanted to use her for our wedding. The service she provides is above and beyond. The food is delicious. We did not have our event at their restaurant, but the food was hot and fresh tasting off site. Use them!

This is a great choice for anyone who is in need of a caterer in Walworth or McHenry county. Maravela's is a family run business, and it is clear they make their clients a priority. I was very impressed by Maria, the woman who helped me play everything out. She was knowledgable and helpful in every area that was addressed. I would highly recommend Maravela's to anyone in need of a caterer.
