We were impressed with absolutely everything - from the quick flip from museum to a stunning wedding venue, to the ease of communication with our Marbles coordinator Jamie and between Jamie and our vendors. All our vendors had nothing but wonderful things to say about working at Marbles. We had our ceremony outside in the North Courtyard, which with its brick walls and trees, made for a beautiful location. Add a few ferns up front, and... voila! Our reception area was in the lobby where the bar, cocktail tables, and guestbook and gift tables were set up, and the reception was in Curiosity Square. We set it up so that the tables went around the tiled globe on the floor, which made for the most amazing dance floor! We loved that we all had space to dance and were not crammed into a tiny space. We had also rented out one of the exhibits for our guests to play and explore and take photos, which they thoroughly enjoyed! A few other perks of Marbles include: - Curiosity Square already has lovely strands of lights so no need to rent more -Marbles provides the tables and chairs and sets them up. We used the navy blue ones Marbles has rather than renting white ones and worked navy blue into our color scheme, and everything looked amazing! -The walls are brightly colored so virtually any color looks awesome. I gave my florist (Chia's at the State Farmer's Market - wonderful!) full reign to create any bouquet as long as it was colorful, and the bouquets and centerpieces looked great in the venue. -Marbles provides a list of caterers (we selected Catering by Design - delicious!) but you buy your own alcohol, which is a huge money saver. -Close to downtown Raleigh hotels and bars, for ease of travel and after-parties. -Very beautiful and interesting places for pictures - the garden, the gates in the courtyard, and the new mural behind Marbles all made for gorgeous photos! Plus the pirate ship and Millennium Falcon window inside! Our wedding was an absolute blast, and our guests loved the unique wedding venue! They were so excited to go to something fun and different, and over a week later, are still talking about it! We highly recommend Marbles!
