Marcella's Bridal

wanted, she only let me try on 4 dresses, and then after the 4 dresses she said, "ok which one do you choose. Remember there are no pictures allowed so if i see flashes then that means that you are buying this one." I felt rushed and confused. I had to tell the consultant multiple times that I wasn't going to buy a dress today and she continued to poke and push me. Luckily I tried dress shopping later at Celestial Selections in Spokane and it was a breath of fresh air. They were calm, reassuring, helpful, and listened to my wishes for a dress. I thought that since Marcella's Bridal is so expensive, that I would get wonderful service but I didn't.

Marcella's and they were much more attentive to what I was looking for (even though I hardly knew) and were exceptional about keeping up with my preferences and helping me find a dress I loved! I still didn't quite fill out my boob-cups, but hey - that's not their fault! And from what I hear, no one else noticed. ;). I'm very very happy with my dress and was happy to spend a little extra money to get the boutique service. My consultant came over and said hi every time I stopped in for (one-time fee only) alterations.

ping me went and grabbed me 5 dresses she thought I might like. The very first one was literally everything I pictured in my wedding dress. I tried it on and bought it that same hour! They know what they're doing & are so good at it! They made shopping for my dress fun and easy! Thanks ladies!

all of my fittings and that's the kind of service that I respect. I had almost given up hope after trying on a few dresses that weren't exactly was I was looking for, but then my bridal assistant asked if she could grab a few thing for me to try that weren't exactly what I described. The first dress she grabbed is what I fell for. It didn't have straps, but I didn't want a train, so we decided to cut off the train and make straps. Everyone was helpful and very professional. Highly recommend making this a stop along your search for the perfect dress!

ng, venue, colors, formality level etc. She finally asked where I had gone dress shopping and what I had liked and not liked. I told her the only thing I even remotely liked was lace dresses. She had me stand up, looked me over and told me "I know what it's going to be and it's not lace, but I'm going to have to work you up to it. Let's go" A little confused, she put me in a dressing room and started me off with 3 lace dresses. After going out to the family and having them weigh in, she would always say "like. Not love. Let's go." About the 5th dress she put me in, I could see the twinkle in her eye and knew she was up to something. It was a silk, fit and flair v-neck, beautiful, but too plain for me. We walked out to the family, and they all said it looked great but not enough detail for me. Marcella said "I know. I'm not done yet" at ran to the back room. She came back with a pin cushion and yards of rhinestone lace ribbon. She pinned it on around the flair and under the bust and I immediately altered my opinion along with my family. It was the perfect dress. But, Marcella didn't think so yet. So she ran to the back again and came back with strips of the silk fabric and made a bow to go on the side of the dress! It added so much for such a little detail but it made the dress over-the-top amazing. She wanted me to come back every time I was in town to try it on, and when I came back a few months later with my hot pink wedding shoes she freaked and ran to the back again. This time she came back out and made a pink bow to switch out with the white one before the reception! She was so pleased with herself and I was so excited for my dress. She was so helpful and has this amazing vision of what a bride will look good in and will do it, even if it means completely customizing a dress. She understands the stress of weddings and had me come back and try my dress on whenever I felt a little worried about it. At the end of it all I got a lovely Thank You card from the bridal shop. They were an amazing boutique to work with and I would highly recommend them if you are a bride who doesn't want the same dress as everyone else and wants a more personalized shopping experience.

from an A-frame to more of a fit and flare. They even let me bring in my own applique and attached it for me.

ll of the Spokane and Coeur d'Alene dress shops visited. My mother and I were ignored, bossed around, and blown off. I resigned myself to returning to Houston, buying a dress that I had liked (but not loved), and shipping it up for my big day. Then, my dad suggested stopping at Marcella's for one last try. I was really against the idea, because I had had such negative experiences at other Spokane area shops, and because I just wasn't impressed by Marcella's website. But he called and made an appointment, so, reluctantly, I went. Marcella's was completely different from all the other Spokane shops. I was listened to--REALLY listened to. Melissa sat down and we chatted for a while, and she asked questions about the style and theme of my wedding. Then, she pulled a few dresses based on our conversation, and voila! We found the one! This was such a laid-back, comfortable experience. The girls working at Marcella's were not pushy or rude, and I never felt like they were just trying to make a sale. Marcella, the owner, was also readily available and eager to help. Overall, I would have to say that Marcella's has the best environment, the best service, and the best selection in Spokane. I cannot gush enough about how great my experiences here have been!

of a gown I wanted to be made for me & the moment I got there for my appointment, every step was a breeze. I tried on a few dress' so we could get an idea of they style & fit I was looking for. Then Marcella came out & started draping me in fabrics & lace, showing me multiple buttons to choose from, giving me more options that I could possibly imagine. The entire appointment was such an amazing experience, I felt like a bride & every girl should feel like a bride when she is shopping for her wedding gown. Needless to say, my gown has turned out perfect! Marcella is always accommodating, she's fun & friendly, imaginative & splendid. I know that 5 other friends have gone to her now as well, to have their gowns custom made from Marcella & have all been extremely pleased w/ their gowns. If you live in Spokane, around Spokane, Idaho or Montana....go to Marcella, you will not regret one second of it & will leave w/ a smile on your face & memories to last a lifetime!

priced. The staff is friendly, knowledgable, and not pushy at all. Marcella does all of the alterations herself and the quality and prices are excellent. I live in Chicago but got married in Spokane and the staff was very accommodating to my tight time schedule. They were able to get all the alterations done in just a few days so the dress looked perfect for the wedding. I love my dress and am so glad that I picked one from Marcella's.

y friendly and after trying on a handful of dresses I found my wedding dress! Later down the road they helped me with a few adjustments (adding more sparkle to the dress) and my dress was perfect! I would highly recommend them to any bride-to-be!

at had ruffles and I thought, jeeeez this lady isn't even listening to me, I would never wear ruffles. Well I put the dress on just to humor her, and I immediately fell in love and when I went out to show my family I got the "gasp", that was it, it was my dress.

Kassi rounded up a few dresses. After I tried on my picks I saw the one she talked about and it was over from there. I am uncomfortable spending much on a one-time dress, but realistically the price paid was nothing compared to the Private Collection dress. The ladies were so kind, so professional and personal, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Also, Marcella made my stepmom's dress and another relative bought her dress there, too! The $0.50 to park at a meter isn't even a consideration!

Though I brought pictures from magazines, gave detailed descriptions of dress features I liked, and the sales associate helping me seemed to understand what I was looking for, all of the dresses I was brought to try on were not what I liked or wanted at all. I thought that perhaps I had just had a bad experience, because I know several people who go their dress at Marcella's and were very happy, but just a few weeks ago my best friend had the same experience as me. In fact, she felt that they were trying to up-sell her by bringing her more expensive dresses, or suggesting custom alterations when she didn't like a dress. I don't know, I'm sure this store is great for people who like the pampered princess experience when wedding dress shopping, but if you are independant, hands-on, and don't want to spend a fortune, this may not be the dress store for you.

nt to David's Bridal as well and was not nearly as impressed with them as Marcella's. I would def recommend going and checking them out! You never know...you might find what I did!!

ESOME. It was obvious she really liked her job and was very knowledgable about everything in the shop. She even went in the back and dug up a gown from last years collection that she thought I would like. And she was right. It was the perfect wedding gown for me. Then Marcella came over to take a look, and she is just fun, with a lot of "how gorgeous" and "beautiful" etc, etc. And what new bride doesn't eat that up?

I would recommend Marcella's to everyone.

ery helpful in answering questions and altering the gown. My husband and I also purchased the bridesmaid dresses from Marcella's. They were beautiful and most of the girls are already planning to wear them again. They looked perfect. I am not sure that they have the cheapest prices in town but their product is good. We were very pleased with everything. I only had one bridesmaid disappointed that she felt she was measured wrong and her dress was to big resulting in the additional expense of alterations. Otherwise the other 6 bridesmaids dresses only needed minor tweaking. When all was said and done they all loved the dresses and the overall experience including me.
