Marci is an amazing photographer. Everyone comments how good they looked and how good we look. She helped us get pictures of our cat, sunset photos, and night time photos. She also came in clutch when I needed a hair pin for my veil and sunscreen. We would highly recommend Marci!!!

Marci was amazing, and I would 100% recommend her and work with her again. She photographed my friend's wedding a few years ago and I liked how the photos turned out so much I decided to hire her myself when I got married. Her prices were good, and we loved how the photos turned out. The photos turned out to be a good mix of the posed photos and candids. You end up spending a good chunk of the day just one on one with the photographer and your spouse, and she was fun and helped us feel super comfortable and I couldn't be happier. We did the 8-hour package and received our photos 1 week after the wedding which was amazing! We definitely made the right choice.

Marci is beyond AMAZING!!!! She was easy going and ensured we got every photo we could possibly ask for. I swear everyone who seen the photos were amazed on how great they turned out! Marci has worked for our family on 6 different occasions now, 2 weddings, 3 senior pictures and 1 engagement photo shoot. Her talent and professionalism is stellar, and we enjoy how she interacts with her subjects to bring out their unique personalities and emotions. Getting ALL your pictures in high resolution clarity to own and print is a huge plus, but truly the best part of her work is how she manages to recognize and capture the special moments of her subjects and deliver them to you in short order after the shoot. 5 stars, highly recommend, exceptional!!!

We couldn't be happier with our good luck in hiring Marci to photograph our wedding. She's a terrific photographer, first of all, who knows how to capture spontaneous candid photos of guests having fun as well as the more formal posed photographs and the ceremony itself. She's got a great eye for a memorable pic and is willing to do whatever it takes to capture her shot, even if it means getting herself a little dirty. But you can probably see her skill for yourself if you check out her portfolio. What you won't be able to see is how great Marci is to work with in every other way. She's thoroughly professional, punctual, and quick to respond to any questions you might have in the weeks leading up to your event. She's also so knowledgeable about weddings that she can act in some ways as an unofficial wedding planner, reminding you (or informing you for the first time) of a dozen things you can do to make your event go more smoothly so that you're more free to enjoy yourself on the day. She had terrific advice for us, ranging from how to wrangle relatives for photos to how to choose the kind of makeup that looks best under the lights. And to top all of this off, she's delightfully friendly and easygoing. Just having Marci in your corner is going to allow you to enjoy yourself more and focus on the most important parts of the day. And at the end of it you're going to have lots of amazing pictures! We recommend her unreservedly and enthusiastically.

We hired Marci Curtis for our engagement photos in May 2023 and then our wedding on 12/16/23. I'm not even sure where to start because she was absolutely amazing to work with! She is creative and talented; we couldn't be more pleased with how both our engagement and wedding photos turned out. She uses her photos to tell a story and doesn't do the staged or fake photos that have become so popular lately. Her photos evoke genuine emotion. When we look back at our photos now, she captured an actual moment in time that we can remember instead of some silly pose we were forced to do. She is an exceptional communicator and had so much information to offer for planning a wedding that wasn't even related to photography! Marci answers emails quickly and is extremely thorough. We would hire her again in a heartbeat and actually anticipate doing so when we can come up with another occasion we need to capture! Thank you Marci!

I can't say enough good things about Marci! My husband and I also hired her for our engagement shoot to get to know her before the wedding, totally recommend other couples do the same! She was so laid back and warm, but also professional and ready to work hard. Our photos are beyond gorgeous, worth every penny!

Marci was easy to work with, on-time, organized and fun. Marci helped to keep the bride and groom on schedue, while finding beautiful places in the venue to capture pictures. Having a winter wedding in the Atrium of the Southfield Westin, Marci knew the lighting would change and made great use of that in the pictures. We were especially pleased with the many candid pictures of family and friends that Marci took. Marci really was personable and truly fun. Booking Marci was simple, she gave great advice as far as timing, makeup, "first look" etc., and her services were reasonably priced. We were very happy with Marci.

I have known Marci for years and once I was engaged, she was the first photographer I thought of to capture our wedding day and actually was the first vendor I booked once we had our wedding date. She is professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and brings so much more than just her photography skills to her assignments. She was prepared with last minute emergency items that helped make the day go smoothly. I had a vision of taking photos outside in the streets of downtown Detroit and she captured them beautifully! I am not always comfortable in front of a camera, but Marci really helps make the photography process relaxed and helped calm some nerves before the ceremony. She was insanely helpful, like way more than I would have thought a photographer could be. She fixed my bustle a million times and when it finally broke she even had big ass safety pins that she used to pin it up for me another million times haha She came with a lot of helpful tips and tricks and suggestions making herself pretty necessary to have around in so many more ways than to just capture photos. She was very sweet and easy to be around for 8 hours of my wedding which is important because you end up spending more time with the photographer than you spend with the majority of your family and friends! The pictures came back super quick and they blew me away. She did an amazing job and I would hire her again in a second.

Marci PERFECTLY captured all of the love and fun of our New Year's Eve wedding. We don't love posing for photos so we were nervous, but Marci made the process fun and easy and made us feel so at ease. She was incredibly easy to work with, and insanely fast--she sent our 1,700 photos ONE WEEK after our wedding! I initially regretted not having a videographer, but Marci's photos totally made up for that. She captured all of the special moments and her photos truly tell the story of our perfect day. Marci is the ultimate professional and wedding photographer. She did our wedding on August 13, 2022 and we've already had amazing feedback from family/friends on our photos. She's calm, creative, and the exactly the person you need on your wedding day (or any other important event where high quality, beautiful photos are needed). We received our photos within 2 weeks of our special day, which was awesome. Everything ran smoothly and we really appreciated Marci's fun, calming, and professional approach. She keeps an "emergency kit" with a crochet hook or whatever that thing is called. It literally saved the day for getting the buttons on the back of my dress looped (I had like 20 small buttons). Marci was the best! We received fast and easy communication over email and she was extremely helpful and flexible during the event (she figured out how my dress worked when I was at a loss). Photos arrived promptly and were gorgeous--we have sooo many to choose from for prints and the like.

My daughter got married recently and Marci was the photographer for the engagement photos and the wedding pictures. I did not know a photographer could capture not only the beauty of the wedding, but the emotions and joy we all experienced. The photos are spectacular in every way. And Marci was so easy and fun to work with. I can't recommend her highly enough!!

Marci is both incredibly talented and super fun to work with. She was always very responsive and professional, and overall was just a joy to work with. She has a true eye for her craft and that can sometimes be rare in the wedding business. Our pictures turned out AMAZING. She managed to capture US but like the very best versions of us. We also received our pictures super fast! We were still on our honeymoon when they came in. I have heard horror stories of other brides waiting months, or sometimes never getting them at all. Marci met every deadline she committed to, and we never had to pester her for anything. She also gets very big bonus points for successfully managing a group of slightly intoxicated groomsmen. 100% recommend Marci! :)

If you are thinking of hiring Marci... do it!!! She was so much fun and got TONS of great pics. There are so many good ones we cant choose which ones to order! She also got our pictures back to us very quickly after the wedding. She goes above and beyond to get the best shot, and is a blast to be around. My whole family/wedding parties loved her- would 100% recommend!

Marci was amazing to work with! She has obviously been doing this a long time and helps to guide you along the process. She has good communication prior to the day of, helps to make sure the family photos are captured quickly, and was a fun addition to our big day without having to worry about making sure the photographer was there to capture something. My guests commented how after a few minutes of seeing her work, they felt confident that she was getting good photos and could put their phones away and just enjoy the day. We love our wedding photos - especially all of the candid ones which capture the memories perfectly!

Marci is SO amazing! She photographed my sister’s wedding a few years ago, and we knew we needed her at our wedding, too! She is so much fun to work with, and knows so much about weddings in general, that she is not only an amazing photographer and artist, but also a fantastic resource! She took so many pictures and had so many amazing and creative ideas on the fly, as well as just being fun! After she packed up for the night, she joined us on the dance floor for a dance which was just so fun, too! We got our pictures less than a week after the wedding, which is an amazing turnaround, and they look wonderful! We also really liked that we own the photos, and can do whatever we want with them, just need to give Marci credit, which she totally deserves! We especially loved that we didn’t just get photos of us and our party, but she got at least a couple pictures (and good ones) of every single guest. Marci is an amazing photographer and person and we are so happy to have had her there for our special day! She truly captured the spirit of the day, and we will have so many wonderful memories that we can look back on with joy for years to come because of her talent! Long before I even considered getting engaged, I knew that I wanted to have a wedding photographer with a photojournalist background shoot at my wedding—because they are experts with subjects with lots of movement. (Plus, constantly photographing the same two subjects in contrasting colors is TOUGH!) So because of my particular, non-negotiable requests, I didn’t have a lot of options, but Marci happened to be one of those options. From the first “hey, are you busy on this date?” message, Marci provided a lot of insight for me, which helped me further be comfortable with the decision to do business with her. As we got closer to the date, she provided even more insight about wedding days (beyond just snapping photos) that helped me be more organized. Of course she’d have this insight for being in the business for two decades! If you love long, detailed emails filled with advice for your wedding day, Marci is your person! Marci went even more above and beyond than one could imagine. On the day of our wedding, she was the only photographer, working with a videographer from another company, traveling to six different places (women/men’s separate getting ready areas, the church, the hall and two other personal locations) for pictures and stayed for nearly 10 hours—all while dealing with variety of dramatic, anxious and curious personalities of my very large family. The end result was almost 3,500 photos that made it so hard to narrow down to post on social (which is a lot considering that my husband and I are self-conscious about getting photographed)! And within the huge batch of photos, she made close to two dozen different backgrounds of our outside shots (versions requested by my mom) and added some spotlight glow behind my veil at the alter. In other words, MARCI IS AWESOME! Thank you again!

Marci was amazing, and so fun to work with! My husband and I hate getting photos taken, but she made it so easy with her casual, candid style. We had her do our engagement photos as a way to get to know her, and I highly recommend it, it makes things much more comfortable on the day of the wedding. She captured so many sweet moments of us, as well as our guests, and her attention to color, composition, and detail made for some really great photos. She knew how much I wanted autumn leaves in our pictures, but by November 21, there wasn't much left. With some homemade props and a little bit of color editing, she made it happen! She also has a super fast turnaround time, and you get ALL the images she takes. We will definitely use her for any future professional photography needs.

Marci was so fabulous on our wedding day! Her sense of humor, expertise and the calm she exuded were such a huge help to both of us (she even had a crochet hook with her to help hook the buttons on my dress!). To be honest, when all was said and done, we felt that we got an insanely good deal for the amount (almost 2,000 proofs) and the outstanding quality of the pictures we got. We had countless comments from guests, family members and members of our wedding party specifically singling Marci out to say how amazing she was - these were people who have been to countless weddings and seen countless photographers, and they said Marci was truly outstanding. She has such a wonderful eye for millions of different shots in a small area and took such care to cement the memories of our day in gorgeous photos. We cannot recommend Marci enough!!

Marci was an absolute pro and we loved working with her from first call. She had a positive spirit and it was a constant throughout our entire day together. Not only was she a great photographer she was just a helpful person in general, helping my wife with her dress moving about, keeping a timer on her phone to help us manage a sunset shot, and even helping us give last minute directions to our bus driver. Marci is the type of personality you want to surround yourself with on what can be a very stressful day and she certainly helped keep things light and enjoyable. She eagerly took our suggestions and requests and captured everything we were looking for. Her turnaround time for final shots was shockingly quick. Highly recommended!

Marci was absolutely wonderful to work with and at such a. great cost. From the day we locked her in as our wedding photographer, through the wedding day, as well as afterwards, she did not skip a beat. She was punctual and promptly communicated with us before our big day. On our wedding day, she took the time to scope out some great shots for our bridal party and family photos yet also made sure we had plenty of time to enjoy spending time with our guests. We received a sneak leak within 5 days and ALL of our photos within 3 weeks. What I appreciated most was how she kept photos natural with minimal editing. I highly recommend her to anyone.
