were important questions. From the start, Rebecca felt like nothing short of a best friend with loving and inclusive energy. Of course, the quality of photography was important to us as well. My wife loves photography and wouldn't just settle on anyone. We both LOVED how Rebecca's photos were so bright and natural, and she always had unique shots that felt like we were getting something special from her. From the start, Rebecca felt like a best friend to us that we were just hanging out with. We aren't people who particularly like having our photos taken, and we are a bit awkward and goofy. Rebecca was able to make us feel so comfortable, have fun, and yet when we got our photos back, we looked GOOD. We got everything from silly shots to straight up model-level shots. Ultimately, it comes down to a combination of absolutely unreal quality of work and having a GREAT time. I know there is a photographer for everyone and that's what makes this whole industry work, but there isn't a couple that Rebecca isn't for. As a queer couple, she gave us all the love and support we needed by using inclusive language on her forms and gallery (NOT something that all vendors do). We know she would show the same support the acceptance no matter the terms of a couples identity. Her skills are unmatched, and I truly believe the way that she edits photos will stand the test of time and look classic even 100 years down the road. The final and most important thing is that she is someone that will feel like a friend and an ally on the biggest day of your life! We didn't have to worry at all about her getting her job done and doing it well. She went above and beyond to make sure our day was executed flawlessly so that we had ZERO stress about her on that day. Overall, we were meant to find Rebecca for our wedding day. She made us feel validated as a same-sex couple, we had so much fun every time we got to work with her, and our photos are better than we could have ever imagined. 10/10.

o get to know us, to ensuring every special detail was captured, to helping us feel comfortable in front of the camera, Rebecca was our girl! What most caught my eye was how timeless all of her pictures were. To me, Rebecca takes pictures that you can look back in 30, 40, 50 years from now and it looks as true to color as it did the day she took the picture. The other thing I loved is that Rebecca has an eye to capture a story within every picture. If you’re on the fence wether or not to book With her, my biggest piece of advice is to reach out to her, talk to her about your concerns, let her know exactly what you’re looking for because I know you won’t be disappointed!!

e, I knew it was a done deal. She is so easy going. She also understood me and Frank. Rebecca got my vision and made sure both our engagement session and our wedding day were perfect! My mom even said how wonderful she was on our wedding day, she said she was so personable and kind. Rebecca understands that not everyone is super comfortable in front of the camera and didn’t expect us to not be ourselves. It was a total surprise to me when we got our pictures back that she had the entire invitation suite with her. I was very scattered the days before the wedding and forgot the extras at home then I was actually sad that they weren’t going to be captured. Rebecca genuinely cares about her couples and the pictures she is capturing for them! I’ve been telling all my newly engaged friends to look at the Margaret James Photography instagram page. Now I can show them how amazing our wedding pictures are! Rebecca was so easy to work with. She wasn’t just a photographer, she became a friend and made it that much easier to be ourselves in front of the camera. Our experience was amazing! I highly recommend that anyone that is interested in using Rebecca as a photographer, do it! You truly won’t regret it and you will have beautiful pictures to show for it.

On the day of the wedding I remember Rebecca getting there early and taking her time getting things set up and taking the detail shots while we were getting ready. I remember being so happy knowing everything was falling into place and we did not have to feel rushed for a second. I also felt so happy knowing we had already met a couple times and like I said we became friends and it was so refreshing feeling comfortable and being able to not be as nervous knowing the pictures were going to be amazing. Our experience with Rebecca was incredible, we would do it again in a heartbeat. 100%, book her. I spent a lot of time looking for vendors (considering we got engaged right before the world shut down for a few months I had a lot of free time on my hands to do research) and she truly is the best. We wouldn't have changed a single thing.
