I knew I wanted to hire Margaret as soon as I saw her in action at my twin sister's wedding the year before. Two beautiful different weddings, locations, vendors, themes, etc.
She made my wedding pinterest board dreams come to life and exceeded all my expectations. Margaret Rose is very personable, prompt, smart, organized, and an effective communicator. Her eye for detail made sure I was on task during the planning process since there are SO many "players" that go into planing a wedding (vendors, timeline, stationaries, transportation, florals, etc.) Her cool, calm, and collective demeanor really shined when I realized on the morning of the wedding that I had left the table numbers at my house (35 minutes away)... HOWEVER, Margaret Rose came up with table numbers that fit the vibe perfectly-- you would've never known. She is a problem solver who will find a way to get things done. We received so many compliments about how beautiful the reception was. She is truly passionate in making sure it was the absolute best day ever and IT ABSOLUTELY WAS!
I never once felt stressed on my wedding day and I truly have Margaret Rose to thank. I wouldn't change a thing and would do it all over again. My husband and I, still to this day, say it was the best day of our lives. I highly, highly recommend Margaret Rose Events. Margaret was so amazing from the second we first spoke to the very last minute of my wedding day! We just hit it off from the beginning which really helped but she is extremely detail oriented and organized. I don't know what I would have done without her to be honest. Another amazing thing about Margaret was that she never made me feel stressed or overwhelmed through the entire process (when we know it's almost inevitable) because she always took care of pretty much everything and when theres a will theres a way! I highly recommend Margaret for a wedding planner, she was a huge part in making my special day truly amazing and magical!

From planning through the wedding day, Margaret provided an unparalleled level of professionalism and attention to detail. She sourced vendors that exceeded our expectations, and made design and timeline decisions that we would have never thought of and executed fantastically. Over our entire wedding weekend - including a large welcome cocktail party on the evening prior to the big day - Margaret was so on-top of every minute of every event, that we were able to truly enjoy everything. I never worried about anything, and not one thing went wrong. I cannot recommend her enough.
Margaret was such an amazing wedding planner, we are so happy we chose her! We wanted to make sure that our wedding planner was 'chill' and wasn't going to be high stressed and making us anxious on the day, and Margaret was so cool, calm and collected even in the most chaotic moments. From our first phone call with Margaret, she made everything so easy and fun. She fully understood our vision, and did a great job of finding vendors that matched well with us. We came to Margaret with a vision of a "best date night ever" private wedding in NYC, and she absolutely exceeded our expectations. She took the time to listen to our ideas and preferences and transformed them into the most stunning day.
We're based in Chicago and Margaret is based in Miami, but we spent a day in NYC scoping locations and landed on The Soho Grand Hotel. This property was perfect—so romantic, classic, and picturesque. She found the most iconic location and navigated all the logistics with the hotel, securing our suite, and ensuring we’d have our ceremony on its private terrace. Once we had our venue secured she curated a perfect selection of vendors from photography to videography, florals, and cake. We met on a regular cadence and she offered so much support throughout our year-long planning process.
Day of Margaret ensured that every detail was thoughtfully curated and beautifully executed. On the day of our elopement, everything flowed seamlessly. We felt completely at ease knowing that Margaret had everything under control. She went above and beyond to ensure we felt special and stress-free, creating a day that truly reflected our love story.

Margaret is a true professional! From the first planning meeting until the end of our beautiful wedding, Margaret made sure that every single detail was taken care of. If you’re in the early stages of wedding planning and you’re torn between whether or not you need to hire a wedding planner OR are considering hiring Margaret vs. another planning company, I’m telling you now to stop overthinking it and look no further. Real life clients here who had the wedding of their dreams earlier this year (January 14, 2024) and it’s all thanks to this incredible woman. I SHOULD NOTE: I’m not someone who writes reviews because it’s the “nice thing” to do - I feel very passionate in writing this because Margaret’s services truly made what could have been a stressful experience into an easy, memorable process. She understood our vision perfectly and went the extra mile on numerous occasions to ensure that every element of our big day was seamless, beautiful, and authentically 'us.' Her expertise and ability to handle unexpected challenges (as there always will be) made us feel at complete ease. As stressful as planning a wedding may be, I can’t tell you how many times my partner and I mummered “Thank god for Margaret” to one another.
She has an A1 list of vendors she can recommend to you, which ultimately led us to creating a real ‘dream team’ of wedding vendors. She handles every meeting and every annoying email you have to answer with the utmost professionalism and genuine care. I honestly wish I could hire her to take care of all my personal matters because she’s just so on top of everything she does! But seriously, We are forever grateful for the beauty she crafted, the friendship she offered, and the peace of mind she provided throughout our entire 14 month process. When your “little girl” is getting married, you want everything to be perfect for the special day. In this CRAZY world, I always say “look for the helpers!” Margaret is not “only” a wedding planner; she’s a compassionate advocate, a clear minded voice of reason, a gentle nudge in the right direction, the ears and eyes for every detail…and the consummate professional. We booked the Full Planning package with Margaret for our March 2023 wedding, and are so so so thankful that we did. It was really important to us to have expertise and guidance as we planned such an important event, and Margaret was absolutely incredible every step of the way. She kept us organized, made suggestions on items that weren't at the top of our minds, kept us on budget, and was so helpful in vendor selection, helping us narrow down options and make decisions. If you think you don’t need a planner - you do, and that planner is Margaret. Margaret was immensely helpful throughout the entire process. We joked with her often that people kept telling my husband and I how relaxed we were throughout the planning process, and we always said “It’s because of Margaret!” She made the planning process so non stressful and her opinions on vendor selections down to the last tiny detail were invaluable. She would break things down very simply into a few different options she recommends, talk us through why, and guide us to a decision based on what mattered to us most. She caught every single little thing. She thought of things we truly never would have thought of. She also helped manage a number of behind the scenes fire drills day of so effectively that Jared and I didn’t even notice. She’s also a pleasure to talk to and be around. She is assertive yet also kind. I am someone who considers myself a decent planner and I wouldn’t have done a percentage of the job she did. We could not recommend her more!!
We had a great experience working with Margaret- she navigated stressful wedding planning situations in order to take the pressure off a very busy bride and groom, which we definitely needed! We hired Margaret and her team for both wedding planning and as our day-of event coordinator. Margaret was great working with us for finding vendors that were exactly what we wanted. It was great having her a resource to cut through the hundreds of vendor options and helping to coordinate them from first quote through to the end of the wedding. Her and her team day of were fantastic as well, helping to solve the small (but in the moment huge) problems that pop up that you'd never expect. She truly made the wedding seamless.
We couldn't have asked for a better planner! From day one of speaking with Margaret on our consultation call, she was so sweet and kind. Although I purchased the Month Of services, Margaret was so kind in assisting with all my needs even months before the wedding. Naturally, on the day of the wedding, my nerves were on 100 but Margaret and her assistant helped me feel at ease the WHOLE TIME and literally saved me from any anxiety I had, even when one of our other vendors installed the wrong neon sign. (Margaret worked with the florists to make a quick fix and totally saved the day). There were a few things that could have gone wrong during the wedding but didnt because Margaret was there with a solution and was fully prepared.
Newlyweds- if you're considering doing this on your own...DON'T!! There is so much that comes up on the wedding day that you may not be prepared for or want to deal with and having a planner there will help you ten fold. I highly highly recommend Margaret for any wedding or event services.
Oh my goodness — where do I start?!
I am truly unsure where to begin when it comes to writing a “review” on Margaret. It’s hard to even think of using the word “review”… because it feels odd to “review” someone you now consider a friend!
One thing I know for sure is that our perfect, magical, dream worthy wedding would not have been possible if we did not have Margaret by our side every step of the way. From sourcing vendors, to supporting budget management, to providing recommendations for the tiniest of details, to keeping us informed on new trends that fit our vision.
Tyler and I were engaged for 2 years before we officially tied the knot. And while I didn’t realize it at first, 2 years is a long time. LOL … over the course of 2 years, a lot can happen. Plans can change, pieces of your vision may alter, vendors might cancel on you — and more!
Without Margaret, we would have never been able to keep our stress at an appropriate / healthy level.

It took me a minute to write this because I truly didn't know how to express how exceptional Margaret is. Her organization kept all of us on track and her attention to detail was flawless. She has a warm and calming presence that puts everyone at ease. When I initial was looking for a wedding planner, I wanted someone who would give me ideas and just let me decide. I didn't want to organize anything and that's exactly what Margaret did. She was the contact person for all the vendors. She truly made my vision come to life.
Hiring Margaret was hands down the best decision I made while trying to plan my wedding. Margaret made every step from vendor sourcing all the way to the day of the wedding totally seamless and stress free. I am writing this from my honeymoon because I truly could not let another day go by without raving about Margaret. Our wedding was this past Sunday, and it would never have been possible without her. We were planning our wedding with Margaret for nearly two years. She was not only incredibly thorough, informative, and had such wonderful connections with vendors we never would have found otherwise, but she is also warm, calm, and kind. Margaret was a tremendous help in planning our event. My husband and I were both in graduate school when we started wedding planning, so our progress would completely stall any time either of us had a paper due. Margaret did a fantastic job keeping us accountable to our goals and filling in when we couldn’t keep up. We live on the west coast but we were planning a wedding in my hometown in NJ. Margaret was very accommodating of the time zone differences and our limited availability. We did not actually see very much of Margaret or her assistant on the wedding day but everything seemed to run smoothly from our perspective and the day was absolutely magical. If anything did go wrong, we were never aware of it. My husband grew up in the UK and we had to postpone the wedding since much of his family couldn’t enter the country due to COVID regulations. Margaret kept our expectations realistic even when we didn’t want to hear it and when we got the go-ahead to move it, she handled every detail for us. She did an incredible job listening to our desires and helping us to find an exceptional vendor team. It was important to us to support women & minority owned businesses. Our favorite part of working with Margaret is that she shared these values and worked hard to find us a vendor team that not only did a fantastic job on our day but also reflected the diversity of the wonderful area that I grew up in!
We hired Margaret to be our Full Wedding Planner for our black tie Manhattan affair. We got married at St Patrick's Cathedral and the Harold Pratt House. Margaret was there every step of the way and helped us find the most spectacular vendors. Friends and family to this day say it was the most magical event and the wedding of the century. Thanks to Margaret this all happened!
I dont know where to even begin with a review for Margaret. She was the perfect balance of professional, compassionate and creative. Margaret helped us reschedule our wedding (due to Covid) and not only was able to help us plan 1.5 weddings but she was so compassionate in a delicate time. She always informed us of the latest rules and restrictions and was extremely organized. Once we got over the Covid barriers, Margaret was able to help us dream about the finer details of the day. She was the main communicator with all vendors and made the planning process easy. She had reoccurring calls and very organized checklists to follow along.
The day of was absolutely perfect! Everything went EXACTLY as planned. She kept all vendors on a very tight timeline which allowed us as the Bride and Groom to maximize our time with guests while still getting numerous photos taken. I contribute this flawless execution to Margert's organization skills and detailed (every 15 minute increment) timeline which she shared with all vendors. I strongly encourage all Bride and Groom’s to hire Margaret to be in charge of your big day!!! You will not regret it. Thank you Margaret we will forever be grateful!!

She has great attention to detail and can be counted on to deliver. Basically showed her my vision and price range and she was able to give me many options whether it was decor, flowers, food, band, venue, hotel, you name it. Margaret was an absolute pleasure to work with! Throughout the planning process she took over so many of the details that can be very stressful and made the entire journey enjoyable! Going into our wedding day, we felt completely confident that Margaret was on top of every last detail and would knock it out of the park...and she did not disappoint! I recently got married in November and my husband and I used Margaret as our Day Of Coordinator. Margaret was extremely helpful that day and the weeks leading up to the wedding. She helped coordinate all the vendors, lifting that responsibility from myself (which was greatly appreciated at that time!). She helped coordinate hair and makeup, go to the walk through at the reception and was there for the rehearsal at the church.
Not only did she help with coordinating all the little and big things of that day but she was helpful in the moment- when I was stressed out over strangers entering the church Margaret calmed me down and helped me refocus on what was important!
I would definitely recommend Margaret for Day Of Coordinator. She will help support your vision and make it happen without the stress of dealing with everything especially the last weeks leading up to the wedding.
Having Margaret on board as our day-of coordinator was the best money I spend on our entire wedding. She picked up the planning process starting a month before the actual wedding date and did so much work and coordination behind the scenes leading up to our wedding day that was immensely helpful. The main reason I wanted to hire a coordinator was so I wouldn't have to worry about anything on my wedding day, and Margaret was exactly what I hoped for - she handled everything, ensured that the day flowed seamlessly, and handled the couple of small obstacles we faced with professionalism and a positive attitude. For example, the florist did not deliver the correct style bridal bouquet and Margaret handled it without me having to say more than "that's not right". At the reception after my MoH helped me bustle my dress we realized there weren't enough bustle points to hold it all up and prevent me from tripping during the first dance. My dress was very free flowing and asymmetrical so I suggest we just cut the extra fabric. Margaret said of course not and proceeded to pull out a case of ~100 safety pins from her bag and personally spent 20 minutes pinning up my dress until it was completely perfect. All this is to say that if you hire Margaret she will ensure your wedding day is wonderful. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a planner that will go above and beyond the job description.

The experience work with Margaret was amazing, she is so easygoing and very supportive, she think every details for her clients and help us to understand and achieve what clients expect. I cannot say enough how amazing Margaret was! We hired her for month of services and additional wedding vision/decor services. Margaret went above and beyond from day one making sure I knew what items needed to be taken care of. She was there every step of the way through COVID to keep us informed of what the regulations were and what she was seeing happen with other weddings. Margaret never pushed her own views or opinions on us, she was always 100% in line with our vision and helped guide us to achieve the look we wanted. The day of the wedding Margaret was running around making sure the (very last minute) escort cards I ordered were printed and accounted for. She was by my side the entire day and made sure everything went smoothly. If anything was less than perfect I would have no idea. She truly made it a beautiful day that I will remember the rest of my life. I even have people who were not invited to my wedding asking me for her contact information because they heard how beautiful it was! If I had to do it all over again there is 0 question in my mind that I would choose Margaret again in a heartbeat!

I don’t even know where to begin when describing how vital Margaret was to the success of our day. My husband and I told her all day she was the best.
We hired Margaret almost 2 years ago to be our day of coordinator for our May 2020 wedding. Obviously things changed and our regular calls with Margaret were so helpful as we navigated contacting vendors and coming up with a postponement or alternate plan. Ultimately we decided to get married in a more intimate ceremony in November and Margaret helped with everything. She coordinated with our vendors and took the lead with asking questions and scheduling every part of the day. I casually mentioned wanting a vintage cab for our original day and she said she knew someone and arranged for us to have one! That ended up being one of the most special parts of our new day and it wouldn’t have happened without her.
Once the day was finally here we didn’t worry about a thing. Margaret had it all covered. She directed all of us and kept everything moving on time. She even transported our luggage from our apartment to the restaurant since we were staying at a hotel after the wedding. There was nothing we asked her that she couldn’t do. She came prepared with a trunk of emergency items just in case and even had wifi in her pocket since our ceremony was on a boat and she knew we might need it when playing our playlist.
I could go on and on but basically Margaret was invaluable and we will be forever grateful. Our day was so beautiful and she helped with every part of it. 2 weeks later and we are still saying Margaret is the best and that we miss talking to her! Thank you so much Margaret!!
Hire Margaret if you want to have the perfect wedding. I can't say enough positive things about her. Every step along the way from the initial call, to venue visits, to re-planning things because of Covid were so seamless and easy with her. I thought I was organized and top of things until I met Margaret. She supported my vision while also giving helpful guidance. I didn't have to think about a thing on the day of my wedding which was so important on the big day. She is also creative and offers more than just traditional planning/coordination services. She designed custom menus and signs for me which were a hit too. I am hoping we can be friends IRL that is how much I love her!

As someone who had never given any thought to her wedding, I went into the wedding planning process completely blind. I hired Margaret as a full-service planner to direct me to not only find my vision but also how to make it happen and when. Margaret has done just that. From the start, she has been very responsive and attentive to my needs and always listens to what I want while doing the behind-the-scenes work to make it happen. She is extremely responsive and works hard at communicating with both me and my vendors, all while being honest and supportive. Her patience is also unparalleled, as she is always cheerful and professional while dealing with a ton of back and forth from me, often several times a day, on every detail throughout the last few months. She has been such a source of calm through the storm of COVID-19 and I am very thankful that I will have her on my wedding day. The pandemic has certainly changed the way the day will look, but I have no doubt that it'll still be perfect, in large part due to Margaret's precise planning. I definitely recommend her if you are looking for any sort of planning services!
I wish this review could do Margaret's service justice. But it won't. 5 stars are just not enough for me to express my gratitude for Margaret. I am a COVID bride who has rescheduled my wedding not once, but twice, & the calm in the storm has always been Margaret. Margaret has the perfect combination of being frank, honest, and transparent, but totally understanding and kind. I only hired Margaret as a day-of coordinator but she has done so much more. She has been there through every step & pointed me in the right direction anytime I had a question (which was A LOT) no questions asked. I have no doubt that my wedding will be nothing short of perfect with Margaret by my side. After speaking with 20+ planners when I started this journey, I could not be happier with my decision to book Margaret. I feel at this point, Margaret is more than a planner, she's a close friend. When we first started planning our wedding we weren't going to hire a day-of coordinator, but hiring Margaret was the best thing we could have ever done. She started communicating with us 2 months before the wedding and she was SO helpful from beginning to end. She coordinated with all of our vendors and made sure everything ran smoothly.
The best thing about Margaret is she KNOWS weddings, and she will anticipate problems before they even happen. During our wedding walk through with the venue she had all of the right questions, and helped up worked through logistical difficulties. Our venue staff were not the best, so having Margaret there to advocate for us was also really important.
On the day of the wedding it was a heat wave, and the entire week before I was freaking out about the weather and Margaret talked to me every single day and calmed me down. I legitimately do not know what I would have done without her that week. Everyone in my family was so thankful that we hired her that week because she took control of everything and no one else had to lift a finger. She took care of all of our set up, and it looked perfect in the venue. We had a performance portion of the evening and it was very complicated to a) setup b) get all the musicians together and c) get all of our guests upstairs -- she made it look seamless! She also worked incredibly well with all of our vendors, and was friendly and kind.
Margaret is calm, cool and collected and we highly recommend her to anyone. Margaret, we can't thank you enough for everything. You are the reason our wedding went off without a hitch, even in 110 degree heat.
Our wedding could not have been pulled off the way it was without Margaret. Margaret was great at keeping us on schedule and letting us know when things were due in terms of payments. She’s easy to talk to and completely understood The vision we had for our big day. Neither my fiancé or I had much of an idea of what exactly it takes to pull off a wedding but Margaret was able to keep us in line and let us know about all the things that might’ve missed our radar without us having to stress. She really helped alleviate any last minute panicking and even throughout the planning process helped it be less stressful. The day of could not have been done without her. Margaret was so helpful with anything my husband or I needed and was able to put out any fires that arose. I could not recommend Margaret any more to anyone looking for a planner. It was by far the best decision my fiancé and I had made!!

Margaret is the best. Our wedding had 3 buses and 2 hotels in NYC plus the venue. Margaret and her assistants managed to take care of everything that day. She came to rehearsal and also kept care of everyone She was professional, organized and very calm! Definitely would use her again!!

Margaret Rose was the wedding planner for my daughters wedding. Margaret is incredibly organized and had the event timed to exact minutes. She was professional and kind at every turn. No question that the wedding was a beautiful event because of Margaret’s help. Her attention to detail is unparalleled. I would give 10 stars if I could.
Margaret was the best wedding decision I made. She came to me as a recommendation from a friend who is getting married after me. Right from the beginning Margaret was hands-on and helpful. As a bride you think you have it under control until 3 months before when everyone starts asking you a million questions and you have to organize another million things. Having Margaret there to coordinate with vendors and ask me the questions so the vendors didn't have to made my life easier. If I had any questions or had a thought pop into my head Margaret was there to answer any questions! She was amazing on the day of the wedding. She handled everything for me from tips to vendor setup to end of night clean up. She was there cuing us and the bridal party the entire night. I had a guest come up to me and tell me how great Margaret was because the strap to her dress broke and Margaret gave her a safety pin. My wedding was perfect because Margaret made everything easy for us. She is a must hire!

My friends and family loved her and that is one of the most important thing! Her coordination with other vendors are very professional and received great compliment from other vendors of how great her work is! Since Jeremy and i decided to ditch bridal parties, no MOH and BM, Margaret took the role of making sure my gown is bustled, organized my guest table, made sure my family and guest were all directed with marching and seating arrangement and most of all she never fail to make us feel that we are the most important person that day! A celebrity kind of feel! :) At the end of the night, Margaret asked us what's our favorite part of the day, and our response was "the best part is, we've met you!"

Not only was it a pleasure to work with her every step of the way, she kept me organized, on-track, stress-free and sane, throughout the whole process... even on my wedding day! Margaret was delightful to work with. She was extremely communicative, understood our tight budget and yet managed to make our wedding look like something out of a fairy tale! She has a great eye for detail and impeccable taste. She has a great vendor list, and I truly trusted her with every decision.

All I can say is wow! Margaret was the perfect combination of everything we needed, well before our special day and even better the day of, which speaks volumes. She got us even more organized, more than my husband thought we were, and better prepared us for our day...things we didn’t even think of. By the end, we felt like pros and were ready for anything. On our actual wedding day, she was available, poised, and so friendly and accommodating to my family and friends. I am not sure if anything went wrong but from our viewpoint, things went smoothly which is the point of having a planner. Margaret is AMAZING, there is no way I could have pulled off my wedding without her. From day 1 she understood my vision, and wasn't scared to be honest and share her opinion when I bombarded her with questions everyday, not just me but my fiance too!! She is very very organized from timelines, to payments, to everything in between, no detail went unoticed, i completely trusted her opinions. On the day of my wedding she made sure we had a great time and did not need to worry about anything...also did I mention our wedding was in Kentucky? That's right, Margaret planned an out of state wedding for us AND came in below my budget. I cannot say enough great things about her!!! Do yourself a favor and have Margaret plan your next event!
