Margaret Wheatley Photography is a woman-owned and operated photo-documentary wedding photography business specializing in capturing beautiful, unplanned, and spectacular moments. Based in Culpeper, VA, Margaret Wheatley Photography serves weddings in VA, Washington, DC, and beyond. She works with both digital and film, having studied film photography in college and later at a processing lab. With 10+ years as a photographer working with a fashion and wedding focus, her style blends editorial and street to bring a trueness to each wedding.
Margaret prioritizes interesting moments and colors in a signature style. She is constantly growing and improving in photography as an art form.
Margaret absolutely loves to travel for a wedding as it inspires excitement and creativity. MWP loves to know a bride and groom well before the wedding so their day can be captured with a tone true to who they are.

I have been a photographer quite literally my entire life. I started messing around with my moms camera when I was only 7 y/o and was gifted my first kodak digicam for my eighth birthday. Since then I have invested years of my life to learning and growing into my personal photography style. I do find that even now I am constantly evolving and enjoying new styles but the same thread of relaxation within my photos holds. I do my best to make all couples and people feel at easy during shoots and hopeful it is a fun experience and we can all enjoy.
