met William; from the first, second, and third times our eyes locked before he approached me and never left my path. Never did I expect it to happen at my cousin’s beautiful wedding last June when I met Mariah Joy. Mariah’s spirit and beautiful sense of self have brought me an abundance of joy since the day I met her. We instantly became friends and talked several times throughout the year before William and my wedding. In fact, we became such good friends we started spending time together outside of wedding planning events and she even blessed us with her presence at my bachelorette party! Mariah and I grew so close I invited her to join my wedding party and family to stay in the Musser Mansion Friday through Sunday. She arrived Friday evening just in time to start relaxing and having a good time and she instantly fit in with everybody. She was an instant blessing, and once again, a JOY! The wedding day could not have been more perfect. Having complete confidence in your photographer and assistant is such a blessing! Not once throughout the day was I concerned that I wouldn’t get the perfect shot! She even approached me and said calm reminders such as “Hey!-you had told me you wanted to get a photo here or of this—should we go do it or skip it?” That is the thing about Mariah-- she gets to know you and your fiancé and your vision for the wedding day. She spends the time and effort to make sure she knows what the bride wants and how to bring her peace and comfort at such a beautiful, chaotic time in your life. She captures the beauty of EVERY person so naturally. We had so much fun with Mariah the weekend of the wedding! When Mariah posted a sneak peak of the photos two days after the ceremony, I fell to my knees sobbing tears of joy! I never, ever imagined that I would have a PERFECT photo of my wedding day! Well, I not only had one. Every single photo I look at takes my breath away! I am speechless, absolutely overjoyed, and forever grateful to this beautiful pure spirit that is Mariah Joy. Mariah Joy is a natural. That is the bottom line—all I can say when I describe her photography. She makes every person feel beautiful and alive, inside and out.
