I am very happy that I went with Maridadi Couture to alter my wedding dress. They listened to the changes I needed with my dress and were thoughtful with their solutions. They provided excellent service at each appointment did a wonderful job on my dress. It fit me like a glove and was exactly what I wanted for my wedding day. I would highly recommend!

A great place to bring your wedding dress! My dress was a consignment, but when I dropped it off to get it altered they offered to clean it for me, which cost some money but was worth it! They were quick getting you in and out in a reasonable time and the alterations were always perfect! They even made sure that I brought in a bridesmaid to make sure someone else understood the bustle which was so helpful.

I am so so so glad that I found Rita! She and her team were an absolute dream to work with!! Rita hemmed my dress, added the bustle, attached my removable shoulder strap pieces, and even added a hidden elastic piece in the middle that would help keep my strapless dress up all night long! Everything was so beyond perfect and I couldn't be more grateful! She even pressed my veil for me free of charge. If you're in the area and looking for a seamstress look no further because you've found your lady :)

Rita worked some incredible magic!!! Her shop has altered every prom dress, formal dress, and bridesmaid dress for me over the year, so it was a no brainer to go to her for my wedding dress. With just 12 days until my wedding, I went in for my final fitting with my original tailor, and the dress was awful. It was 2-3 inches too short, too tight, and looked incredibly slopping. We took the dress to Maridadi, and they truly saved the day. The dress looked perfect by the time they were done, and I cannot thank them enough for helping me out on such short notice. Maridadi Couture is absolutely incredible! Rita is just about the sweetest person you'll ever meet and her and her team are so talented! It was very special to me to have her alter my wedding dress because she had made a flower girl dress for me when I was 4 years old. I highly recommend Maridadi Couture! They were on the recommended list from Claire’s Fashions where I bought my wedding dress. Everyone I encountered was friendly. I was a little worried when I went with my wedding dress because a decent amount needed to be hemmed even with high heels on. Rita walked in and didn’t even hesitate. She knew exactly what needed to be fixed and how to alter the dress without losing any lace detail. Her knowledge and skill is incredible! She was so pleasant to work with and so kind with her compliments. She truly adds to the whole bridal experience!

Rita did an excellent job making my wedding dress fit like a glove! It was quite small, but she was able to let it out and exchange the mesh insets to match my skin tone. The dress looked perfect and I cannot be more happy with her work!

From the minute I spoke to Rita on the phone, she was warm and inviting. I got my dress from Sabrina Ann’s in Ardmore and they HIGHLY recommended Rita. It was not around the corner from me but they said she’s the best of the best. Holy cow, I SO glad I took their advice and made the drive! Rita was AMAZING!! She made all my wishes and dreams come true. I needed 4 different alterations, shortening, adding material on a layer, sleeves made and a bustle added. Every single alteration turned out better than I had imagined. I had 4 appointments, not including the week of the wedding final pick up and every time I came in she blew me away with the alterations she completed. My dress fit like a glove at the end and I couldn’t have been happier. If you are able, get your dress alterations from Rita. She knows what she’s doing!!! Would choose Rita ten times over if I need to!

I am so grateful for Maridadi!!! I really loved the dress that I found - it was simple and exactly what I wanted but it was a one of a kind and only came in a size 14...I am a size 4. Rita literally took the entire wedding dress apart and re-stitched the entire thing with a custom fit to my body. I honestly didn't even appreciate the complexity of my ask when I first brought the dress in but Rita did not hesitate. I cannot recommend Maridadi enough.

Rita and her team are so wonderful! Not only did my little sister get her bridesmaid dress tailored here, but they did an amazing job with my wedding dress! I had a total of three visits and fittings. Rita listened to all my feedback and made my dress perfect, including affixing a pretty beaded detail that replaced a big tulle flower I didn't like. When I picked up my dress it was clean and perfectly pressed! I will be going back to have them also clean and preserve my dress for safe keeping.

Searching for the perfect wedding dress can be an overwhelming experience…and then, when you finally find it, add to that the stress of “ok, now I need this to fit perfectly”. When it comes to your wedding dress, there is no room for error. That is why I am so glad I found Rita at Maridadi Couture. She was referred to me by several girlfriends, and I had gotten a bridesmaid dress done there last year. When I walked in for my initial bridal consultation, Rita immediately made me feel warm and welcome. She was open and honest about what could and couldn’t be done. I was sold then and there. Over the next 2 1/2 months I popped in for fittings every two weeks…always amazed at the progress. No alteration went unnoticed. Amazing! That is all I can say. I went into my first appointment, having lost some weight and nervous about how much needed to be done. When I first put my dress on I had the moment every bride dreads...I couldn’t see myself wearing this dress. She assured me it would be great, it just didn’t fit. There was a lot of work to be done and over the next several weeks, she made so many small changes. She didn’t stop until it was perfect. I also wanted straps added to my dress and she recommended a way I hadn’t even thought of, and made me see how it fit the dress. When I put it on at the final fitting I was amazed. I felt completely different than when I first walked in. Just like she said, once it fit I’d love it. For everything I needed done, the price was very reasonable and totally worth every penny. I will go here for any alterations I need!

Rita is the only person you should be trusting to fit your wedding dress! Not only did she do a beautiful job on my lace turtleneck, but she overhauled my sister’s ill fitting dress a few years ago - it was nothing short of a miracle! For me, I was insistent on riding my horse Sidesaddle into my ceremony… Rita was completely on board and even let me bring my horse to her shop so we could fit the dress while I was on him! (True story!) I needed her to be creative and figure out away to bustle the dress so it looked great in pictures - she exceeded my expectations! You will absolutely not be disappointed and going with Rita!

I am SO THANKFUL that I found Maridadi Couture for my wedding dress alterations. My dress ended up arriving in too large of a size-- instead of charging for tons of alterations, the team helped me order a smaller size, which ended up saving me a huge amount of money with them. They did a beautiful job in hemming my dress and in attaching a belt-- I was so thrilled with how it turned out and will absolutely use them in the future. They truly have their customers' best interests at heart and work hard to ensure you're happy. Would highly recommend!

Rita is amazing! My dress had a complicated scalloped lace trim and needed to be shortened, taken in, a piece of boning added, waist stay, etc and she was so helpful with her suggestions and so skilled with the execution! Each appointment was quick and easy (even in the height of prom and wedding season) and the prices very reasonable. Highly recommend!

What can I say, Rita is amazing! She took a dress that ended up being 4 sizes too big (and probably 5+ inches too long) and made me feel like perfection - hemming, taking it in, adding straps, and adding the most beautiful bustle for a rather large train. Her work was precise, fast, and beyond affordable. Not to mention she was a joy to talk to. I'd recommend Maridadi Couture for any wedding dress needs!

One of the best decisions we made in wedding planning was bringing my dress to Rita for alterations! She was absolutely INCREDIBLE and was always willing to do an extra fitting or make an additional adjustment. The before and after of my dress's fit are unbelievable. Rita is a miracle worker with the patience of a saint. She even made a video of the bustling to assist on the big day. My mom and I joke that we want to continue visiting Rita, even though the wedding is over! Highly recommend!

Highly recommend going to Rita for alterations. She knows exactly what she is doing and is so talented. My bridal dress was complicated with lace and several layers and an illusion back - she worked wonders on it. I had my alterations done by a friend of the family who was not able to press my wedding dress due to the size. I have had friends and family use maridadi for alterations and they came highly recommended. I was nervous to drop my dress off the week of and not see it until the day before the wedding but they did NOT disappoint! My dress was perfectly pressed and looked beautiful for the wedding. It is currently back at Maridadi as I am having it preserved. I highly recommend their services. The staff is friendly, flexible and easy to work with - they will take great care of your gown as if it were their own wedding dress.

I was given this shop's name by Clare Fashions in Wilmington and I am lucky to have found them. The seamstress and owner is amazing as well as the other staff member I came in contact with. She is very friendly and my gown turned out beautiful. They treat you with kindness and I was sad when the fittings were over because of how kind they were. My dress was difficult had a detailed lace pattern that had to be cut off at the bottom and re attached and when I saw the final product you could not even tell it was touched. They know how to work with lace, and illusion which can be difficult but everything turned out amazing! I recieved so many compliments on my gown and I will take it back to get preserved. Amazing Seamstress!! Rita was fabulous and my dress fitted perfectly on my big day! She also was definitely affordable and I highly recommend her for your wedding alterations, you won’t be disappointed!

Can I give Rita 10 out of 5 stars? Because she went above and beyond in everything she did. I had a HORRIBLE experience with another seamstress (when someone tells you a bride needs to lose weight, you know it's not going to be a good appointment), and Rita was the total opposite. That is to say, everything I dreamed of. She worked wonders on my already gorgeous dress, really listening to what I wanted, but also giving me her honest opinion. Every attention to detail was made. She was also incredibly flexible. I unfortunately was in the hospital unexpectedly six weeks before my wedding, and she rescheduled my appointments, stayed extremely late one night to fit me in, and made sure I didn't worry at all. I had so many compliments on my dress, and I know that's because of her careful work. She truly cares about all of her brides. I will go to her for any alterations I have on bridesmaid dresses or other garments. Do yourself a favor and go to her!!

I chose Maridadi Couture to alter my wedding gown and they did a marvelous job! I bought my dress online and honestly, I didn't love it when I received it. Luckily, after taking it to Maridadi it turned out to be the perfect dress! Rita was fabulous throughout the whole process. Every appointment only took about 20 minutes and she was very kind and professional. She made great recommendations that I would have never thought of and the price was very reasonable. Rita and her staff were very helpful with altering my wedding dress. She was very accommodating as I was coming from out of state. She is wonderful at what she does and very knowledgeable. My dress fit me like a glove! I could not have been happier with the outcome of my wedding dress!!

The seamstress here was amazing! I had a great experience and left feeling like I looked perfect in my dress! I was a little surprised by the cost, but to be fair this is my first experience with alterations.

I had a great experience working with Rita at Maridadi Couture. They were very flexible with scheduling appointments. They have a bridal suite, just for trying on wedding dresses. Rita made many adjustments to my dress until it fit just right. She was very communicative about what alterations were possible and not possible. I am very petite, and was nervous I would look like a girl playing dress up. It was amazing to see the dress altered to fit my body. Although it is an investment, you want to make sure your dress is in good hands and with someone that will do the job right. I would highly recommended Maridadi Couture.

My wedding dress came out beautifully and I have Rita to thank for it. I bought the Theia Grace gown in NYC and when it was delivered it was as if they crumpled it into a ball and put it in the box. It was so wrinkled! Rita was able to smooth it out and alter it to fit like a glove. She also attached a lovely belt I had bought on Etsy. She and the rest of the staff at Maridadi are very friendly and professional. I highly recommend them!

Rita is a miracle worker. I had an extremely intricate two piece dress. The bottom was the layered/tiered type skirts and the top was a corset back, but with a zipper. I got a quote from the boutique that I bought my dress from which made my mouth drop. The alterations were quoted at almost half the price of the dress. They said we'll hem the skirt, take in the top and take in the waist. And I asked about taking out a layer because it was too large and they said sure no problem. When I went to Rita for a quote, she was almost half the price as the boutique. That alone would have made me choose her. Once we started looking at the dress - she suggested not taking out a layer and said it would lose it's shape. she told me she'd press it a different way to make it lay more flat. She also didn't want to hem it because she wanted the look of the bottom to stay identical. Instead she picked it up throughout the dress. She was so thoughtful in her suggestions and they all made perfect sense. Totally different service than the boutique. Over the course of my fittings, she decided to add a ribbon to the waist band and sewed that on. The top was also too tight, so she got creative and instead of the back being straight across, she turned it into a "V" shape. She also sewed ribbon inside of the top so it wouldn't scratch me. We added one more fitting, so I had four instead of the standard three. With all of these extras, she STILL stuck to her quoted price. Rita was truly amazing, and I would recommend her to anyone. If you're considering having it done at the bridal boutique because it seems "easier", I would absolutely rethink that. At least stop in and get a quote and meet her. She is lovely and so accommodating. Lastly and most importantly, my dress came out flawless. It was absolutely perfect and everything she did enhanced the dress. THANK YOU RITA!

My alterations were done flawlessly and reasonably priced. I had ordered my dress online and of course it came with flaws that I did not even see. Rita found them all and customized the dress to fit me perfectly! Loved the way I felt in my dress and it was so comfortable that I was able to truly enjoy my day!

If you need any alterations done, look no further! Rita was a pleasure to work with, she went the extra mile to help and my wedding dress was perfect! I couldn't have been happier with the results! I should also note that the alterations Rita did were quite extensive - I basically brought her a dress that had many elements I loved and she changed everything so it was perfect! It was not a simple project but she mastered it!

Rita was AMAZING! She completely transformed my dress into a one-of-a-kind, beautiful gown! The price never changed even when she needed to take it in an additional time. The illusion top was removed and she made the neckline a slight sweetheart and removed the enormous train. My dress fit my body perfectly and I did not have to adjust the top all night. She offered a discount on cleaning and preservation since the alterations were done at her location. I would highly recommend Rita and her daughter to anyone - they do menswear as well. I will be bringing all of my clothes there from now on.
