I ended up finding my perfect dress during my initial visit but wasn’t ready to say “yes” to the dress on the spot. Lauren and the rest of the staff were very understanding and were gracious enough to allow me to come back later the same day once I had more time to think about it and see some other options. Even though they were fully booked with appointments, they made sure I was able to try my dress on again and were still so excited to celebrate with me when I officially said “yes” to the dress! They made me feel so special during both of my visits and I cannot recommend them enough!

Pinterest board, she did an amazing job pulling dresses that fit the feel I was going for. I truly could’ve gone with any dress she pulled! The owner, Young, was also incredibly helpful in determining dress fit and size. And she was just as much my cheerleader as the rest of my entourage! With their help, 6 dresses was all it took to find the one! This is NOT a business with the sole goal of making a sale. They will do everything to make sure you feel heard and cared for during your appointment. You can tell they really care about developing a relationship with their brides (and their groups) and making sure the bride feels her version of beautiful for her wedding.

I also love that she does not think twice about giving her expert opinion on how a dress looks on me. She gave me valuable input and had helped a lot in narrowing down my choices to eventually finding “THE ONE”! She was also able to facetime with Ms. Young on the same day so we can have a clear discussion about sizing, and what we can or cannot do when it comes to alterations. I think that was very helpful too. From email communications with Anne-Marie, to meeting with Hannah, Maria, Ms. Young, and other staff in-house that day, there was consistent and amazing customer service. I would definitely recommend MGC!

Come to find out, they had other dresses closer, and the dress I showed does in fact exist...Just at a different salon. I went to the other store and felt as if the consultants were my friends helping find the perfect dress, rather than a salesperson. So if you make an appointment, enjoy it, but keep in mind the underlying sales pitches.

o the store having a head full of Pinterest and Insta pictures that morphed into one seemingly impossible dress: something unique but classic, detailed but clean and simple, something WOW but understated... With the expertise of my stylist and the whole MGC team, we were able to untangle the paradoxical dress in my head and only ended up trying on three dresses before putting on my Rosa Clara gown. It was utterly gorgeous in every way. I knew I would not find another dress that made me look and feel the way I did. My dress made every moment, every photo, every memory, truly magical. If you want your “say yes to the dress” moment, expert service, and a beautifully crafted dress, look no further.

hrough my saved dress ideas and that was enough information for her to jumpstart her initial dress selections for me. I could also see that she was experienced, knew the inventory well, and was well-versed in styles/designers that fit my desired look and body type. She could tell what I liked and why from listening and closely observing my reactions. Also, due to a venue appointment that went long before my fitting appointment, we ended up arriving 20 minutes late to our appointment. Even though Marie Gabriel was completely packed that day, they still accommodated our appointment and I never felt pressured. Lastly, I used them for tailoring, which was a great idea. Young attended all of my fittings and was personally involved with the process. They are very skilled in the process and fit the dress to you. They book up the tailoring services really quickly because they don’t have many spots, so I do recommend finding your dress here early if you are interested in tailoring services, too. Overall, I just love this place! I wish I could now buy a new dress from here each year for each wedding anniversary! Haha :)

They had a great balance of letting me try on things I requested as well as picking some dresses that they recommended. They knew exactly what would accent all my best features. on, and crazy enough, I had found my dream dress in under 20 minutes there. It was the very first dress that Lauren (my stylist) chose out for me! It’s like she read me like a book! They are all so helpful and knew what I wanted before I even said anything. For all the new brides out there if you haven’t started looking for dresses and don’t know where to go, go here!! I was blown away by everything.

icked a variety of dresses in the style/price I was looking for. The only issue I had was the owner. She kept coming by and being pushy about dresses that were definite “no’s”. It would be clear that my family and I did not like the dress and she would insist it was the one. The stylist could sense I was annoyed and kept things moving. If the rest of the team wouldn’t have been great, i would have walked out. My family didn’t tell me until after the wedding that they heard the owner tell my stylist she “better get that dress sold”. Again, I would have left had I known that. I ended up loving my dress and would give my stylist 5 stars, but the owner made this stressful.

AZING. She walked me around the store to show me details of things I liked and show me details of dresses that would be in my price range. The dresses she chose were absolutely stunning. When I found a dress I loved, and wanted to see it with my veil, she even did my hair for me! She made me feel so comfortable and confident. Her personality is perfect for this job and MGC is the perfect place to find THEE DRESS. And what is better than cheering with some champagne to celebrate finding your dream dress. Everyone will be on cloud nine shopping here. I seriously couldn’t say enough good things about Marie Gabriel.

a really wonderful job of asking me lots of great questions about what the aesthetic of my wedding was going to be, how I wanted to look/feel that day, what I liked and didn’t like in dresses, budget, etc.! She then walked me around the studio and showed me a quick wide range of lots of different dresses and gave me the opportunity to say yes/no, what I liked and didn’t like about them before she began pulling dresses for me, so she would have a better idea of what type of dress I was drawn to the most! She was super efficient and got me in and out of dresses quickly, which I super appreciated because that gave me an opportunity to try more dresses on! Leigh actually pulled the dress I ended up saying yes to, and when she saw my reaction when I tried it on but my only reservation about it was the color, she was able to slide a piece of satin underneath the lace so that I could envision what it would look like in the color I wanted, and I was in love!! Everyone in the salon was so excited and supportive and cheered when I said yes to my dress, and it was so heart warming to be in such a loving and positive environment for a super stressful time!! Leigh did an amazing job of getting all of the details/measurements for the dress and veil (which she also selected and I absolutely loved!) and gave my info to Young, who was very professional and went over the ordering and payment process with me in full detail, and made sure all of my questions were answered! My overall experience with Marie Gabriel was such a positive one, and if you’re looking for THE place in Indianapolis to find your dream dress, this is the one!! It was my first and last stop on my bridal gown search, and I can’t wait to walk down the aisle in my dream dress! Thank you Marie Gabriel for making me feel so beautiful for my special day!!

d only appointment, as I canceled the others after working with Kim and Ann Marie. Kim was my assigned stylist and was so delightful and knowledgeable! She helped me to have fun and not let being self conscious get in the way of what is supposed to be a fun, memorable day. I told her my vision and showed her a couple of pictures and she picked out EXACTLY what I was looking for on the first try. She and Ann Marie both did a great job of helping to include my mother and grandmother to make them feel they were a part of the process, even though their taste differs from mine. I know they appreciated feeling valued in the process. I don't have enough good things to say about Kim. If she weren't moving to NJ to manage Marie Gabriel's store out there, I would recommend her to all of my friends here in Indy. That being said - East Coast Ladies, go to Kim when MG opens up in Jersey!!! Indy ladies, you are in the best hands with any stylist at MG. Thank you!

After trying on a few dresses, Kim ended the appointment 30 minutes early instead of pulling dresses with the features we wanted. We were disappointed to leave the appointment not seeing dresses that fit our desired taste and were stunned at the abruptness with which we left. Perhaps other attendants don’t fit this description - I did notice other customers enjoying their appointments and able to try on several dresses. Positive, professional is so important, but especially for future brides and their families as they plan for a celebratory milestone. We hope to find a dress elsewhere and build more positive memories around the process to help ease the hurt, pain, and confusion from our experience at Marie Gabriel.
