When looking for a photographer, which was one of the most important wedding vendors to us, we knew we needed to book Malie from the second we met. She is so bubbly and warm hearted, while also genuine and professional. Having a kind and talented person who is just as excited to be part of our day as our loved ones-really makes a difference.
On the wedding day, she and her assistant made sure we were comfortable and could really enjoy the day. From getting us our apps and drinks during cocktail hour wedding party photos to making sure we ate our dinner, it's the little things that count but also how you end up having the best day ever! So not only do we have amazing photos, we were able to enjoy our day and truly had a perfect wedding day.

We had our engagement photo shoot about 2 months before our wedding and it was just so much fun that I couldn't wait for her to shoot our wedding. y 10year wedding anniversary. We had some hiccups in the beginning, both were out of her control. First there was an issue with the studio, then the hair/makeup was ill. But when we finally met for my boudoir shoot, it was everything and more than expected. She helped me feel super comfortable, even with the lack of clothes that I was wearing. She kept saying how great the pictures were turning out and how beautiful I looked. And she was right! My photos were phenomenal! I looked and felt just like a Victoria's Secret model! Malie has a fun, bubbly personality and that makes having photos taken so much more enjoyable, especially for the guys out there like my fiance who hate being photographed! Before our engagement session, we met with Malie to discuss some ideas for the shoot. Although she is located in Chesapeake, she drove out to Richmond so we could take photos at the gorgeous Maymont Park and spent hours with us. She wanted to make sure that we got everything we wanted from the photos, and she even brought a blanket for us to lie on for a couple of shots. We got our engagement photos about a week later and immediately sent them out to both of our families. They were over the moon with how gorgeous they turned out, and we couldn't agree more! Unfortunately, we can't have Malie on our wedding day, but we will always have these photos to cherish. When she came to Richmond to do our engagement shoot, she went above and beyond to help us prepare for the shoot and make it a success. From then until the wedding day she was always available for consultations and always going above and beyond for us. Our engagement photos were fabulous and we knew that she wasn't going to disappoint for our wedding. I told my husband that photography was my biggest monetary priority for our day, and Malie was worth every penny. Her second shooter, Mike Dragon, also did a wonderful job and always made us feel comfortable and taken care of. The thing about Malie is that she truly thinks of her new clients as friends. She never interrupted sweet moments, but was simply there to catch them, but also knew when it was a good idea to step in (i.e. help me dry my tears, adjust my dress, get the hair out of my face).
