Marie's Personable Bartending

My husband and I got married August 2023. For us, it was a destination wedding in Hood River. We chose almost all of our vendors based on ratings and reviews from The Knot which is how I found Marie. I sent several emails at the beginning of my inquiry explaining what was important to us in bartending our wedding. I emphasized that we wanted 2 bartenders, our signature cocktails mixed and ready to be poured, options for beer, wine, etc. Marie assured me she would be a great fit. Throughout the process of planning our wedding, Marie called, text, and would email often for clarification and planning purposes. The frustration that came from this was that we also hired a wedding planner to handle the schedule and logistics. Despite repeatedly telling Marie that my planner would reach out, she was persistent with communication and questions that only my planner could answer for her. We have heard from several of our guests, as well as other vendors that worked our wedding, that Marie was frustrating, short-tempered, even rude to work with. Despite my repeated emphasis on wanting drinks mixed and ready to go, this didn't happen. Despite my repeated emphasis on wanting two bartenders, she insisted one would be plenty. Both resulting in a line for our guests-the ONE thing we really wanted to avoid. I gave specifics of what type of beer and wine we wanted-which were not actually purchased for our wedding. She calculated and purchased our beer and wine and we ran out during our reception. Requiring two groomsmen to make a run for more. Overall, I am frustrated with my experience with Marie's Bartending at our wedding. I can't say I would recommend.

Marie's Personable Bartending certainly lives up to the name! Marie was wonderful. She's so much fun to talk to and certainly knows how to work a bar. We'll be sure to reach out again for all our event bartending needs! Thank you, Marie!

Marie did a great job for our son's wedding. She helped me a great deal as I was planning the wedding from out of state. She was honest in her accounting of all the costs; she picked up soft drinks, water & ice for us and her suggestions of what type of beer to serve were spot on! Marie is most definitely the best! She always quickly responded to all of my emails, had answers for all of my questions, and showed up and made the best drinks even though it was 107 degrees outside. There were multiple times she came to me while I was running around my wedding to ask if I needed another drink or a water to hydrate. I am so glad I found her and I will refer her to everyone I know!

Marie went above and beyond to make my wedding as least stressful as possible! She was in constant communication with me through email, text & Phonecall to make sure she had the right amount of drinks and took it all out of my hands for my small charge. It was nice knowing drinks were taken care of and her personality made my guests super warm & cheerful! I got my many compliments throughout the day.

Marie bartender for my wedding on Halloween and I could now have asked for a better addition to my celebration! Marie joined in and wore a costume like many of my other guests and everyone who spoke to her came away smiling! Marie helped me determine how much of everything to purchase and gave some super suggestions that went over extremely well with my guests. She was always just a phone call away if I had any questions! If I could give her more than 5-stars I would... If you are in need of a bartender, look no further!

Marie was very timely and professional. She helped us plan how much alcohol to purchase and even checked in on us throughout the planning process. All our guests loved Marie's service and attentiveness. She showed up early, organized our bar and I didn't have to think about the bar for a single second more. Marie was absolutely fantastic! I got married in July 2020, in a small, outdoor, family garden party with 25 people (following covid restrictions in our area.) Marie was so flexible with us and understanding as we went back and forth on what and where to do a reception, what our county allowed, if we were having one, etc. I am so grateful she was able to join us! She fit right in with our family, was punctual and communicative, and an absolute joy. She was also on top of all covid safety precautions and served happily in a mask and gloves. I absolutely recommend her!
