everything runs smoothly I hate when the above three cannot be had as then I'm forced to become the not so calm and peaceful human I like to be. Candace and the entire staff at Marina City Club not only think of everything, they paced the entire process so that I never worried. Ever. This is a well oiled machine for anyone looking to have a party/life event while still keeping your sanity and doing your day job. And that's exactly what I needed and was looking for when I found them. My husband and I haven't stopped commenting on what a great wedding it was; there were no hiccups (and if there were, I had no clue thanks to Candace, my day of coordinator Jodi and the rest of the lovely humans at Marina City Club) and I've had so many (as of today - we were married about two weeks ago - fifteen people) friends and family tell me that it was hands down their favorite wedding they've been to and I really have to give credit to MCC. The food was so good! (we had vegetarians, pescatarians, gluten-free, etc. attend and ALL had full plates to eat) They accommodated our request to do a cigar lounge on the balcony as well as a candy bar inside without any issue (both were huge hits with all present). We've lived in Marina Del Rey for the last six years and it was important to us to be married here while not having to take out fourteen loans to do so. Marina City Club allowed us to have the wedding we never even knew we wanted and I will be happy to rave on and on to anyone that wants to know more. Everyone wants their day to be special and yet I think they also want it to flow seamlessly; starting with Marina City Club is most definitely the first step of seeing that happen.

delicious, layout perfect, bar is fabulous and staff are incredible. We were completely taken care of and had nothing to worry about on our wedding day. Her vendor recommendation list is incredible! I highly recommend considering MCC for your wedding!

allroom. I loved that you could see some of the marina/sail boats, because most of our guests would be from out of town. And considering the location and the fact that it's in LA, we thought it was pretty affordable. Especially compared to other places we had looked! I've been to a lot of weddings and one thing that most of them have in common is the food tends to be kinda meh (typical for weddings). Not at Marina City Club. When my husband and I did our tasting we couldn't believe how good the food was (and quite the variety for the buffet!). So many people at our reception told us how great the food was, too. So huge plus! Honestly though, the part that deserves the most recognition is Candace, the coordinator for the venue. She is seriously amazing. So on top of everything, organized, and super nice. A few weeks before the wedding I was being a normal bride and starting to worry that anything and everything would go wrong, but each time I met with/talked to Candace, I felt instantly at ease. I would definitely recommend the Marina City Club for a wedding reception!

She was warm and friendly and was open to our ideas. We proceeded that day to two other appointments but we rushed back to give Candace our deposit because we knew the Marina City Club was the one and we definitely did not want to miss out. Candace was wonderful with communicating with us and giving us ideas. She is very professional and very experienced in event planning. She basically told us that we could come by the restaurant and venue anytime to check out the music set up and practice our first dance. Candace also gave us a list of vendors she has worked with in the past and after interviewing many vendors we chose from her list and we don't regret it. They all work so well together and made our wedding day run so smoothly. I highly recommend The Marina City Club for your wedding and actually for any big events that are coming up.

She worked with our budget and allowed us to come in the day before to set up. All of her staff was helpful and friendly. The food was delicious and we received many compliments from our guest on the food and venue. On the day of, Candace was constantly checking in and making sure everything was okay. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for something different, than your standard hotel ballrooms. We had so much fun at our wedding.

would have been over my budget. Being a private club, it provided my guests with security being the grounds are monitored. The residents stayed away which was great. The event floor was all ours, just like we were promised. Candace Miller is the easiest, most professional and caring person I met through the wedding process. Her attention to detail was unsurpassed. Being the catering, bar and valet is all at the venue, it was a one stop shop. It makes the process so much smoother. Friends of mine who did not get married here, had horrible experiences being they had so many vendors to deal with. Candace even helped us with additional rentals that I personally desired, such as, a ceremony structure, dining table chargers, up lights in the dining room and more. Her list of vendors for these upgrades are top notch as well. Dean, one of her DJ/lighting guys, was a delight. I got a dream team for my dream wedding. If I had to do it all over again, I would not change a thing.

OOO lucky by finding this venue! It fit our needs budget wise, the food was better than expected AND my guests enjoyed themselves to the extreme! I was so very happy with my choice and coudldn't have been happier with Marina City Club and Candacce Miller!! I wish I could get married again :)

and we wanted to make the effort to have little to no gap in between the wedding ceremony and reception. Marina Del Rey was our first choice re location. Yes, there was the Marriott, yes there was the Ritz - but I believe in a reasonable rate of return, so Marina City Club (MCC) was the best choice. Here, MCC was less than a 5 minute commute (10 minutes tops with traffic) via car from LMU. The driving directions were so simple - take Lincoln blvd all the way down toward Admiralty - boom, done and done. 2 - Venue - I was going to commit to whatever made my wife happy, needless to say, as soon as we parked in MCC, it just felt right. Upon walking toward the lobby, entering via the glass doors, and taking the elevator up to the second floor it only 'felt' better.' The reception floor was grand - panoramic views of the Marina Bay and the overall layout was easy on the eyes: Full circle bar focusing on the center; to the left is the dance floor along with the dining area and to the right are additional seating areas. Other amenities included a lounge area and outdoor balcony. I mention this b/c for our wedding we maximized as much of the space as we could (i.e. photo booth, candy bar) in addition to DJ equipment. Another something worth mentioning was the disco ball above the dance floor which alone could supply the ambiance. In the dining room to the left, there are long white drapes hanging above the ceiling - it really added to the texture of the room - ideal for a color scheme of your choice (more on that later). 3- Service- 5 stars w/o a doubt, and Candace Miller (R & B Manager of Marina City Club) is the exclamation point. Before I go further, the valet parking was convenient for our guests, quality of food was top-notch (yes, we had a food-tasting prior to confirm), and the overall service (i.e. waiters/waitresses) went beyond expectation. Here's why: The genuine happiness of my wife would not have been possible had it not been for Candace's effort. To all the other men out there, keep it simple and remember "Working w/ Candace" = "Happy Wife." I can't list ALL of what she did, but I'll try to narrow it down to the top 3. (1) Right from the get-go, Candace was very personable; making sure my wife was comfortable with her decision. She was very familiar with our other vendors (knew people we were already working with on a first name basis), including LMU, C & O's (where we had our rehearsal dinner), our DJs (Cerritos All-Stars), and our wedding cake vendor (Vanilla Bake Shop). Clearly, she demonstrated her professionalism. (2) Pricing was spot on with room to negotiate; seemingly effortless b/c WE saw the value in Candace. (3) Candace was instrumental with helping create my wife's "dream wedding." She paid attention to detail and helped customize our color scheme adding recess lights, additional draperies, and helping us find a very reliable wedding-coordinator. To put it another way, Candace 'owned' it - she is the real deal. In closing - it's been at least 8 months following our wedding and here I am, probably the ONLY guy/groom writing a review. I'm confident MCC via Candace Miller's guidance will continue to create many more memories for newlyweds to come. All the best, DDH

ost pleasant part of our wedding planning. Price: Rates were very reasonable and much less expensive in comparison to other comparable venues in Los Angeles. Well worth the cost. If you let Candace know your budget, she will work with you. Food: We went with the buffet option and the food was excellent. Our friends and family were raving about it. Till this day my husband and I both wish we were able to eat more at our own wedding! Space: The venue is great. We used the restaurant area as a ceremony site, which with the amount of people we had, was no easy task. Candace worked with us in brainstorming a floor plan and made it work. She even got in contact with a vendor for us to rent the draping and pillars for the alter area, and the set up turned out beautifully. After the ceremony, the staff converted that space into the cocktail area. There is a collapsible wall that separated this area from the reception. We later pulled that wall back to use more space for the reception. Very convenient. I also really liked the large windows that gave it a “grand” feel. I still remember that feeling when I first walked into the reception area with all the lighting and décor up. Everything was so gorgeous, it brought happy tears to my eye. And by the way, Candace helped us get in touch with a vendor for the lighting as well. Coordinator: Candace is amazing!!! We had tons of questions throughout the process and she always happy to answer them all in a timely manner. Sometimes she would literally respond to our emails within minutes. She helped us make many decisions and offered up great suggestions. We went with a lot of her recommendations and they paid off quite nicely. On top of the excellent customer service, she is a sweetheart! So personable, enthusiastic, and fun. She genuinely seemed excited for my husband and I, and it would always remind me to enjoy this big step in our lives. But if my husband or I were frazzled or stressed, she never mirrored it. She is always poised and calm. Her good nature is contagious and it would calm my wedding stresses away. We could really count on Candace and it was such a relief. Working with her is like a breath of fresh air that you will need plenty of when you wedding plan. After the wedding was over, we were actually sad that we wouldn’t be working with her anymore. She is that awesome. Conclusion: I highly recommend using Marina City Club as your wedding venue. You will not regret it. Candace is worth every single penny!! You can thank me later. :)

w up on Los Angeles but was currently living in pittsburgh(still am)! Candace the wedding coordinator made planning my wedding a breeze! I could email her any crazy question and with in minutes she would respond. It really made the whole wedding planning experience so stress free! Candace is such a kind and caring person. She takes everything you say and makes it happen! I did not have many ideas as to how the wedding was going to look or decorations and she came up with some awesome ideas! I didn't have an arbor(my husband who is a carpenter said he was going to make one and NEVER DID!) and so on the day of the wedding Candace made us an arbor out of what she had on hand! Who does that? It was perfect! My husband must of dropped 10 glasses on the dance floor and before we could even find someone to clean it up it was already gone. On our wedding day Candace treated us like we were royalty and took care of all the things we didn't even know had to be taken care of! If you are in the process of planning a wedding please choose Candace and the stall at the marina city club! You will not regret it! They will make your hectic wedding day a breeze!

ace is the Manager and she is an absolute dream to work with. Every detail was taken care of with a smile. My guests had so much fun and I was able to sit back and enjoy the party along with them knowing Candace and her staff had everything under control. The Marina City Club combines beautiful event spaces with fantastic food and service that is second to none - all for a completely reasonable price.

She worked well with our vendors (we ended up using other vendors) and contributed to us having a smooth ceremony and reception. The prices for everything was more than reasonable and Candace will work with your budget. The space is slightly outdated, but with nice decorations and flowers, it's a nice space.

ace, a beautiful dining room with a fabulous dance floor, elegant lighting that makes the space shine, and windows overlooking the marina. The biggest selling point for us, however, was the restaurant/buffet manager Candace. She was professional, friendly, accommodating, understanding, and not to mention, so much fun!! Candace is always looking out for her clients by constantly improving the restaurant and décor to fit every brides dream! She's prompt and responsive to every question and concern, all while ensuring everything is how you want it. She arranged for us to drop off the decorations and cake on Friday night, giving us one less thing to worry about the morning of the wedding. By the time we got to our big day, we knew she'd make sure everything was perfect for us; and it was! Candace had set up a beautiful sheer curtain to separate cocktail hour and the dining room; which led to a grand entrance. Once we sat down to dinner, Candace made sure we had time to eat, which was great since the food was incredible. Our guests thought it was more like a fine dining meal, as opposed to, other wedding food they had before! Throughout the night, Candace routinely checked in with us, and my parents, to make sure everything was running smooth and what we wanted it. Our guests showered us with compliments regarding the venue, setup and food; all which is a testament to the hard work and commitment Candace gives to her clients. I would recommend this venue to ANYONE that asked because we had the most amazing experience, and the wedding of our dreams! Thank you Candace for making this all possible! We miss you!!

Not only is this venue beautiful, but Candace (Banquet Manager) really makes for an amazing experience. From the moment we met her, she was warm, friendly, and flexible. She was always there to answer my millions of questions and was willing to do anything to make sure my day was perfect. You can really tell how much she truly cares about her clients and goes above and beyond to make sure their special day is perfect. In other words, she is fabulous. My parents loved her and were so happy with the service we received. On top of all of that, the food is amazing!! Everyone at our wedding was raving about how great the food was and my husband and I can't wait to come back and eat at the restaurant. I honestly could go on forever about how pleased I was with my experience with the Marina City Club. I urge you to please check it out-- you will not be disappointed! It is one of the most reasonable venues in Los Angeles-- A hidden gem!!

You get the whole 3rd floor which was so nice to have. The guests were able to hang out in the bar area, restaurant area, lounge area, ballroom area, and the balcony! This place is beautiful! I am extremely happy that we chose this place! You get a lot for the cost!!!!! Love love love it!

beyond exceeded with MCC. The price was unbeatable, especially considering the location. It isn't your typical square ballroom that you get with any hotel. The venue is unique and classy. and they will work with you! I would absolutely recommend MCC to ANYONE getting married in the LA area.

This is unheard of for me and was a BIG help in getting the venue prepared for the wedding. It also enabled me to not hire a wedding coordinator ($!). We were able to strike up a deal with pricing too. I feel like I got a great deal and the best service. I would recommend this venue to anyone and I dont see how the price can be beat. If you're looking for an indoor venue, this would be an awesome place to have your wedding! I would also recommend the valet service (optional). We opted to take the service and I think it was nice to not have people confused with where to go in the complex.
