Mario's Bakery

After switching from our original Cake vendor who was surprisingly rude and harsh to my now wife and I, we decided to go local and work with Mario's Bakery. Absolutely amazing experience. Lou sat down with us and offered a whole arrangement of tastings the week before our wedding and each sample was better than the last. He offered suggestions and was able to give us both a beautiful and delicious cake. We ended up going for a 4 tiered cake with the top layer strawberry shortcake, and the bottom 3 tiers having half chocolate half vanilla with a cannoli filling which was absolutely fantastic. Thank you Marios Bakery we will continue buying from you guys!

We originally booked our cake with Don. I have seen his work and loved it. Don then left Marios and went to a different bakery. We wanted Don to do our cake and the new owner of Mario's refused to give us our deposit back. He wasn't very nice at first and kept talking crap about Don which we didn't think was professional. I didn't want to lose out on money so we decided to stay booked with Mario's. Lou spent alot of time talking to me and assuring me that the bakers and decorators they have are amazing and he also offered to give us a few hundred off the cake to make up for the confusion. I trusted him and I was a little skeptical because I wanted a out of the box difficult cake. When I finally saw the cake on our wedding day I was blown away. It looked fantastic. I loved it everyone loved it. It ended up perfect.

Temple Avodah, where we had our wedding, uses Mario's Bakery, so we went to them to choose our cake, any 3-tiered option. My fiance initially picked one with a raised 3rd tier which I said ok to, but later when my mother sent me Mario's site, I saw one I liked better, with a decoration that looked to me like a tree, and I e-mailed Mario's with the picture from the link, and asked if the 4-tiered cake in the picture could be made in a 3-tier. They didn't respond, so I called a week later, and they said it would be fine to switch and to make it in a 3-tier. We had chosen a chocolate cake since that's all I wanted, and when we were there they gave us tastes of the fillings and frostings, and we chose the chocolate fudge filling and whipped cream frosting. The big day, it was really a BEAUTIFUL cake, with the tree-like decoration, and sparkly frosting like Magnolia uses. I didn't even get to eat any at the wedding other than a tiny bite of my mother's, and finally had some of the top tier the next day that had been sent home with the groom's parents, and it was excellent. We forgot to take the leftovers home with us and I was so disappointed! I want to get another (small) cake from them to make up for not having enough, and I certainly hope the photographer got good pictures of it!

The cake was included through my caterer/venue (Temple Avodah). We had a delicious tasting cake and the cake was moist the day of the wedding. They were very accommodating and helped create the design we wanted.
