Your wedding day is one of the most special moments in your life and also one of the most stressful, so you want to hire vendors that work together to make the day go as smoothly a...
s possible. Unfortunately, I cannot with good conscience recommend Mariposa based on my experience. I contracted them to do hair/makeup for my wedding in August, and I was so excited! However, when I received my timeline from the venue (8 hours on-site), they told me that they couldn't make my timeline work as they need 4 hours for 5 makeup applications and 4 hairstyles. I understand that they want their work to meet their standards and for it to reflect their talents, but what about the client that's paying for their services and their expectations? They never asked what hairstyles or makeup I wanted before determining the time. I offered to send photos of the bridal party along with the looks I had in mind as I wasn't requesting complicated updos, I asked if we could do simpler makeup to help with time, etc. They remained firm that they needed 4 hours and would not be able to meet my timeline (still without knowing what looks I want). Due to this, I made the tough decision to cancel my contract and requested my deposit back as I truly tried to make the day work, and they refused. It's unfortunate that they would not work with me to meet the timeline and/or refund my deposit, but fortunately, I was able to hire a great company that is working with me and willing to meet the timeline provided.

t friends on my wedding day with how comfortable she made everyone feel and how receptive she was to everyone’s request. I couldn’t have asked for a better MUA. Her skills are amazing and gave us all the perfect looks and her personality made the experience that much better. Thank you again for everything Megan! <3

Megan and Ashley did a wonderful job on my (and my party's) makeup and hair! After my trial, I sent some notes to Megan about how I liked the makeup and she was responsive and help...
ful. She changed up some things to help everything sit flawlessly on my skin the whole day of my wedding. She even gave me feedback on a different lipcolor I picked out between the trial and the wedding! I never wear a "full face" but did not feel like the makeup was heavy or that my skin couldn't breathe. She explained the whole process of airbrushing and made sure we were comfortable before she started. Both of them asked each of us what we had in mind for our hair or makeup and did their magic. All of us looked so great and we all loved our looks!
I did my trial on the day of my engagement photos and after doing my hair and showing me the style, Ashley changed it so my husband would not see the "full look" before the big day!
Both Megan and Ashley were there and set up ready for us when we got to the bridal suite to get ready and were very professional. It was so nice to have such calm and collected people there when everything else of the wedding day felt so hectic!
I would absolutely recommend Mariposa Beauty to anyone looking for beauty services for their wedding or any other event!
