Because my husband and I had to reschedule our original 2020 wedding due to the pandemic, we had the opportunity to work with Marisa two times - our intimate 2020 wedding and our 2021 wedding celebration. For each event, Marisa listened thoughtfully to my preferences and provided her recommendations when helpful. She made me (and my mom who adored her) feel so comfortable and at ease. Her execution of the looks I was going for completely blew my mind and exceeded my expectations. Her work made me feel beautiful and completely myself. Marisa is professional through and through and just a joy to work with and be around. She was easy to communicate with leading up to the events and on time, if not early, for everything. On top of all this, Marisa saved the day at my 2021 wedding celebration. There was a snafu when my veil was torn, and Marisa did not skip a beat in somehow affixing it to my hair so that no one could tell. Marisa is exactly who you want helping you prep on your wedding day. A note about the pandemic - Marisa was so kind and understanding when we had to reschedule our original 2020 wedding. Although this was presumably one of the hardest years for wedding vendors, Marisa handled all the changes with so much grace, which made this challenging year of wedding planning so much less stressful for us. Marisa, thank you SO much for everything!

eloping was the right choice. I initially hired Marisa after a recommendation from our photographer. She was easy to communicate with, very professional, and when she showed up on the day of the elopement, made me feel completely at ease -- it was like getting ready with a close friend. I had mentioned to her how wedding makeup makes me feel really overdone and not like myself, which can be great for final photographs but not how I wanted to feel on that day. She did a more natural, dewy makeup and wavy beach hair that made me feel so incredibly beautiful without feeling like I was overdone. To top it off, the pictures were stunning. I have seriously never felt more beautiful -- so much so that I slept in my makeup (breaking my number 1 skin care rule) to have it for just one more day. Marisa went above and beyond to help me feel beautiful, relaxed, and confident on a day that I was initially feeling uneasy about -- I cannot recommend her services enough.

of risk not having a trial but I felt very confident in Marisa's style for what I wanted for our wedding day. Before we met in September I shared a Pinterest board of makeup and hair inspiration. She did such a wonderful job, I was blown away by my hair and makeup and how well she captured what I envisioned. My hair and makeup lasted all through the City Hall ceremony, photos, a quick nap, and even dinner! It was so great to work with Marisa - she was so easy going and great to talk to while getting ready. Since it was just my now husband and I, she was even kind enough to help me in my dress.

showed her styles I liked on Pinterest and she completely understood the look I was going for. The trial run was perfect and I was so excited about working with her on the big day. I was nervous on the actual day of and my bridesmaids hadn't picked their looks yet but Marisa was excited, confident, creative and so fun to get ready with. My bridesmaids each told her what they liked and within a few minutes she narrow down their ideas into separate but complimentary looks (one wanted classic, one wanted rock). My mother wear very little make up and Marisa really was able to compliment her comfort zone and let her shine for a picture filled day. My bridesmaids and I looked stunning, the make up and hair lasted all night and each look photographed extremely well. Marisa is incredible, truly an artist. I wish I could do what she does everyday. Marisa is extremely professional. She took into account our natural coloring/skin tone and what would complement us best while still getting the look we wanted. She was also keenly aware of how things would look in pictures and made sure that everything would look great from afar and also close-up. And my hair was exactly what I asked for: natural but styled and could hold up to a hurricane. I can't say enough amazing things about her. Marisa was also just super fun, easygoing, and a blast to be around. I cannot recommend Marisa highly enough. Truly extraordinary and gifted.
