A little bit more about me! I went to school on the east coast and received a bachelor's degree in Event Management with a focus on weddings and social events. I have 9+ years of experience in both weddings, social and corporate events. I may be the only event professional that does not run on coffee, but you can find me at Starbucks most days for a strawberry acai lemonade refresher! I spend my free time designing new projects around our home and hanging out with my fluffy little pooch Levi and my husband Jarret. We love spending any free time we have traveling the world. We are constantly planning our next adventure, seeing new countries and spending time with friends. I find so much creativity from our time traveling and love to incorporate the inspiration I find into my events any chance I get! Destination weddings, new cities and new venues are my favorite parts about my job. I have the opportunity to work with so many talented vendors across the country to bring to life so many special moments.

From the very first meeting, she asked all the right questions and helped us uncover what we truly wanted. Marissa took our thoughts and turned them into something meaningful, cohesive, and beautiful. Her creativity, organization, and attention to detail were beyond anything we could have hoped for. Just 3 weeks before the wedding, we had to pivot to a new vendor and she handled all of the logistics seamlessly making a stressful situation stress free. Beyond her professionalism, Marissa is the kindest soul — thoughtful, patient, handles everything with grace, and so calm no matter the situation. She made us feel incredibly supported throughout the day and genuinely cared about making the day so special. On our wedding day, we didn’t have to worry about a thing and we we able to enjoy every moment. She was incredibly thorough in explaining her process, outlining what the next year of planning would look like, when our meetings would be, what we’d discuss, and how to prepare. Marissa was fantastic at staying within our budget while still delivering everything we dreamed of. She took the time to explain the “why” behind every detail and decision, which made me feel informed and confident throughout the process. We also loved all the vendors Marissa brought on board, especially The Mini Bar Detroit! They’re an amazing bartending service that crafts incredible cocktails—it was such a fun experience working with them. I came to Marissa with a design vision, and she executed it flawlessly. From the stunning blue water goblets to the hydrangeas and the beautiful dance floor ceiling, every detail was perfect. Marissa even planned our rehearsal dinner, and when the venue was unexpectedly repainted, she pivoted effortlessly to adapt the design. The royal blue napkins, custom bar menus, and other details came together beautifully—the photos speak for themselves! It's like Marissa saw right into my head and knew exactly what I wanted as far as design. She came up with a mood board and power point and executed the design flawlessly. She tried at every corner to save us money and cut costs where she could without sacrificing design and quality. As the day got closer, I appreciate her organizing our vendors, getting a timeline together, and confirming drop off times of rentals. I had no stress the month prior to the wedding because of her, and was able to give the rains fully over to her on the day of and just enjoy myself. Highly recommend
