I would have loved that input early on so we could have found an alternative and tried that. Then the day of she didn't bother mentioning that the extensions were too long and wouldn't blend well despite me asking if they would work. I don't plan in sharing any photos from my wedding showing the back or side of my head. By the time the hair was done we were already tight on time and the wedding planner rushing me, photographers, makeup artists, made it difficult to process the hair or correct it. So I shut down and said it was fine. Again, the rest of the bridal party, my mom, and MIL looked fantastic. Just wish I had.

oes, but she is also an amazing human who will make you feel calm on a day where emotions are all over the place. I feel so lucky that I was able to have Marissa as my hair stylist on my wedding day. My hair was PERFECT and it lasted all night (with a style that is very hard to pull off on my hair might I add)! I also hired Marissa to stay with me for touch-ups and this was the BEST decision I ever made. Brides, do yourself a favor and hire Marissa to make all of your wedding hair dreams come true!

I specifically hired Marissa because of this and her experience and results with hair like mine. The excitement I had when I received her email that she was available on my date was probably one of the most excited moments in my whole planning process. I had such anxiety leading into the wedding planning wanting to feel confident and beautiful but knowing that I’d never felt that way before with previous stylists. Knowing that I had Marissa styling my hair took all of that away. The trial was an amazing introduction to her skill and wonderful personality. The bubbly hype woman you see on her social media isn’t for show. She truly is that nice and excited for her brides. She takes the time to ask you for specifics in what you want, length of the event, how your hair normally behaves, etc. to be sure that the style you choose will meet all of your dreams. Her presence in the bridal suite getting ready only added to the joy of our big day. Marissa brought her second stylist, Taylor, given the number of ladies and our timeframe. Taylor brought just as much enthusiasm and focus as Marissa. Both of them looked through the bridesmaid’s inspiration photos picking them apart to understand fully exactly what everyone wanted. Everyone’s hair held up through the WHOLE event, truly a feat as it was a very long time from the first girl leaving their chairs to the end of the night. I am additionally so thankful to her bridal education that she does on her social media about what to expect on that day and tips/tricks to make things go smoothly. Marissa is an absolute gem in the crazy wedding world and should be the first person you hire in your wedding planning process. She’s a hot commodity so reach out early! I am so thankful that I had her there making us all feel so beautiful.

Marissa even stayed to place my vail and show my bridesmaids how to remove it without damaging my hair. With having a trial prior, you should love your hair and makeup on your wedding day. What I think speaks even louder to Marissa’s talent is how everyone else in my wedding party felt. Every single one of by bridesmaids was in love with their hair & makeup. They brought inspiration pictures and Marissa nailed each hair style ... one of my bridesmaids said it was the best hair she’s ever had done as a bridesmaid. On top of her talent, Marissa is truly a joy to work with. She knows her stuff, sends the most timely reminders (timing for cut/color prior to your wedding), and is FUN! Marissa is also a hard worker—just take a look at her Instagram. I promise she won’t rest until you feel your wedding look is nailed. I will give Marissa’s name to every one of my friends and if I can find a reason to book her again for myself, I absolutely will.

ere’s a difference, so I knew she had an eye for detail. She is extremely accommodating, friendly, calm and efficient. We finished ahead of schedule the day of without sacrificing any final looks. I had several edits after our hair trial bc I changed my mind about some things so I was definitely nervous on the day Of. but we both ended up sending each other the same pic for what we had envisioned and she executed it so well! I was so happy with the final look of my hair, she really really listened to me and honored my wishes about how I wanted my bangs, the curls, etc. I felt comfortable and so content with everything so it was one less thing to worry about on a hectic day like ur wedding. she’s already so very talented but continues to get better and better bc she’s always investing her skills in classes. I can’t recommend her enough!

I didn’t have to touch up my makeup once (except for lipgloss) esp. even after I cried when my Matrons of Honor gave their speech. I had no idea what to expect when it came to doing hair and makeup the day of the wedding and I reached out to several different hair and makeup professionals in the planning process. Marissa was the ONLY person who responded in such a personable way that made me feel like she truly wanted to be a part of the big day and turn me into a beautiful bride. Her communication from then on was always quick and helpful and she knew exactly how I wanted to look when I went in for my trial! On the day of the wedding she worked (by herself!) with all of my bridesmaids and both mothers and we got everything finished for our 3:30 wedding even with starting hair and makeup after 8 am! We all felt like she was a part of the wedding party because she was so fun and friendly! Once everyone was finished she made sure to do any last minute touch ups before leaving. I truly felt like a princess when all was finished. I highly highly recommend Marissa for any hair or makeup needs!!!

ng - 50 guests, family only. I figured I would go to my regular salon and get my hair and makeup done for my wedding. WRONG. I had my trial, makeup was horrible. Hair was ok - nothing to be wowed about. My regular hair artist told me she knew someone to do makeup and it would be fine. Day of my bridal shower, I used her makeup artist. Again, horrible. I was looking for a light, yet good coverage bridal makeup. Not extreme coverage glam. And no one seemed to comprehend that -- except Marissa. I found PrettyOnArrival through my wedding photographer. I emailed her 2 WEEKS before my wedding and asked if she could help me out. Her photos portrayed natural bridal makeup which was everything I was looking for. She fit me in for a trial and I was blown away! Not only does she prep the skin before putting on the makeup but she also creates palettes specifically for you! I loved that. Everything matched my skin tone perfectly. A week or so before my wedding, I felt the need to change my hair style as well since I wasn't wowed with my 1st hair trial from a different hair artist. I emailed Marissa and again she was so accommodating and helpful. I put all of my trust in her to do my hair on my wedding day with no trial and she just amazed me and my entire family. As I said above the makeup was perfection but the hair... HOLY COW. I just can't get over it. I felt like such a beautiful bride. And I was so happy that I switched to Marissa for my hair and makeup. You literally will NOT be disappointed if you chose her for your wedding. She even did my Mom's makeup who is 64 years old and wears NO makeup ever. She loved Marissa's work as well. She felt natural yet beautiful for photos. I cannot say enough good things about Marissa. Thank you thank you thank you!!

During my trail she let me try out as many things as I wanted and made sure I was happy. Day of the wedding, I decided I wanted to do a different hairstyle. She made it happen! All of my bridesmaids wanted different looks and she made each one look INCREDIBLE! I went with a more natural look while other girls went for dramatic. Her makeup skills are so great! I went out and bought many of the products she used on me because I loved them so much. Bottom line- Marrissa has amazing talent and you should book her if you have the chance!
