Marissa Maharaj is a lifestyle photographer based in Los Angeles. After a four-year apprenticeship with Chris & Sarah Rhoads of We Are The Rhoads, Marissa founded her photography business working with editorial clients, creatives, non profits, and commercial clients alike.
Marissa’s interior and lifestyle work was published in the design book “Make Yourself at Home” by bestselling author Moorea Seal, which was featured on Oprah.com and is available worldwide. Other notable clients include Harper’s BAZAAR, Condé Nast, Martha Stewart, Sunset Magazine, The Hollywood Reporter, and Dwell Magazine.

In addition, she and her assistant were completely unobtrusive during the event--most of the time I did not even see them, but they somehow captured all of the essential moments. e on capturing the whole day of the wedding versus just all the posed shots. She did a fabulous job- all of the photos were above and beyond my expectations. My wedding was in Wisconsin, and so Marissa came in from CA. This could have been challenging without her being familiar with the area, but it was not a problem at all. She worked so well with the locations I had picked out and created such beautiful photos. Because she came in from CA, we did not have a chance to do engagement photos, but this did not affect how well she worked with us at all. Marissa is such a sweet, easy to work with person. You will have no trouble at all feeling comfortable even if you've just met her. She brought along an equally sweet and talented photographer as a second shooter. The two worked really well together, were very professional and loved by everyone there. Now that I have gotten all my pictures, I cannot recommend Maharaj Photography more highly!! She did everything I could imagine and more. I can't wait to cover the walls of my home with photos from our wedding. If you are on the fence about Maharaj Photography for any reason, take my review seriously. I would not go back and change photographers for any reason. She was wonderful, and her work reflects that. These are not your average wedding photos- they are so beautiful, creative, you will want to show them to everyone- soo cool!
