Marissa EXCEEDED my expectations. She is SO quick to reply and is beyond professional. We hired a second photographer and she was also beyond amazing. They helped not only take pictures, but help the wedding day run so smooth. They helped me with making sure my veil got steamed, to running messages to my husband before the ceremony, reminding me to drink water, to reminding me to check my email for our honeymoon the following day. They stepped up when I needed help and genuinely cared to take care of me. Marissa had to leave to take care of her baby, but she made sure someone else was there to take her place and they did INCREDIBLE. The photos are some of the best photos I’ve ever seen. They capture every moment we wanted and captured moments that I’ve already forgotten. I CANNOT recommend her enough, we were so blessed to have her on our special day and we praise God for her services!

I’m so glad we chose Marissa as our wedding photographer! She was responsive, helpful, knowledgeable, communicative, and overall just fun to work with through the whole process. Marissa and her husband were THE absolute best! I found her on Pinterest originally and fell in love with how she edits and captures her photos. She made everything feel so personal and anytime we had a conversation it felt like I was talking to a friend. Most importantly she captured everything on our timeline/shot list. She even gave some ideas I didn’t even think of and those ended being some of my FAV photos. I can’t wait to book her for future events☺️

Marissa was amazing to work with! She traveled from Dallas to Austin for our wedding - I fell in love with her editing style and just had to have her. Her husband was her second shooter which made the process super natural and the guys felt very comfortable working with him. Marissa turned around our photos when promised and they were BEAUTIFUL!!

Marissa did such a fantastic job on our engagement photos that we chose her as our wedding photographer also. She is super personable, super talented, and captured those magic moments that we can keep forever. Nothing felt forced or uncomfortable during the photo shoots. Marissa is absolutely amazing. She understood what I wanted and gave me the direction I needed as well. She is also the nicest person! I am looking for more ways to book her. My husband and I absolutely loved having Marissa as our engagement/wedding photographer! I look at our wedding day photos and cannot believe they are MY pictures. Her editing is incredible and the end result is amazing!! I think because my husband and I can be a little awkward in from on the camera, I would’ve wanted a little more advice during the engagement shoot on what to do or how to pose better. Maybe get more glances at the photos as they were being taken to see if I needed to fix my facial expression or not smoosh my face against my husbands cheek haha. She is really knowledgeable about weddings and order of events etc. so her advice and guidance about the process was really helpful. She answered all of my silly questions and helped me talk out scenarios. During the wedding, she had our best interest at heart and always checked in if I wanted to capture anything else. Her and her husband are THE BEST!

We feel so lucky to have had Marissa photograph our day!! She was professional, made us feel comfortable on camera, and so nice and easy to get along with. She was very thorough in her communications with us and always timely in responding to any questions we had. Our engagement and wedding photos were beautiful and captured our day perfectly!

Marissa and her second photographer (her husband) are AMAZING! Prior to the wedding we were in contact frequently, double checking timeline, talking about photo ideas, and the vibe we were going for - and she executed. She gave great advice, was able to speak from experience and still listened to what I wanted. During the wedding she on time and stayed with the schedule while still being flexible with additional photos that I wanted. When we received the photos we were so impressed! Every single photo is perfect. And for the first time we have group photos and family photos where every one of us looks photogenic - I dont know how she did it! Aside from Marissa being an incredibly talented photographer and photo editor, she is also very kind, fun and professional. She makes her clients feel comfortable - especially for those of us who are not used to posing for a camera. I am so grateful for Marissa Merrill Photography and would 100% recommend her to any couple in the greater Texas area. *Marissa is a DFW photographer, but she photographed my wedding in ATX, so she might be open for some travel!*

Marissa is a wonderful photographer! She really did more than her job too. She helped me with the timeline, some of the planning, told me how weddings usually go. She answered all my questions and even answered ones I never even thought of. Months before our wedding we also got a kind a mini magazine where she gave us so much info and it was so cool! I did an 8 hour package with a second photographer and got a complimentary bridal shoot as well! The photos were beautiful, I love Marissa's style.

Marissa and John literally saved my wedding day from start to finish!! From day one of wedding planning nothing went to plan. Originally our wedding was to occur in Austin but due to family issues and COVID our wedding venue changed three times from Austin, to Boise, Idaho, to a small mountain town in Idaho 3 hours from an airport. Every time I call Marissa to ask if the changes would be okay she was the positive support person I needed to ensure me the day would be perfect! Then the day came and to every bride's worse nightmare it was a storming disaster outside with our whole wedding intending to be outside. Marissa and her husband not only took all of our amazing photos but stepped in to help rearrange our house to move the wedding inside and do crisis control. They were a fundamental part in making our day perfect! And with that Marissa knew that all I wanted was epic mountain photos and she definitely delivered that and more!! I would hire her again in a heart beat (and plan to for all future family events)!!

Marissa was amazing throughout the entire planning process, she was also so flexible and easy to work with when we had to postpone our wedding due to COVID-19! Our wedding photos turned out amazing and we highly recommend choosing her to photograph any and all of your pictures!

Beautiful. Stunning. Astonishing. Breathtaking. Amazing....the list of words to describe Marissa’s captured photographs could go on and on. But there’s only one way to describe Marissa: the best. This chick is a girl boss literally and metaphorically. She runs her business by herself from booking, taking pictures, editing, all of it. Her attention to detail cant be matched. Not only is she a photographer but she helped me make my full day-of timeline, she gave the best advice, helped me without hesitation on anything i asked. Pictures were the most important part of planning my wedding (for me) and Marissa exceeded my expectations. Not only did she go above and beyond but she became a great friend in the year she talked with me about my wedding. I booked 3 sessions with her for the wedding and i have a feeling it wont be the last time i use her services. The best decision you can make is choosing Marissa as your photographer, I promise you wont regret it.

I CAN NOT say enough good things about Marissa Merrill Photography! Going into our wedding finding a photographer was the one vendor that I took the most time trying to find. You can have the perfect wedding but if your photographer isn't great you will miss out on pictures of the things that made it so amazing. Going in I knew this and wanted to find someone that I thought I would be comfortable with, someone that would not add more stress to an already stressful day. I fell in LOVE with Marissa's Instagram and website!! The colors of the pictures, the poses, how natural everyone looked. It was exactly what I wanted for our rustic wedding venue. From the first phone call and FaceTime to the wedding day she felt more and more like a friend, rather than just someone behind the camera. She was SO helpful when it came down to scheduling out the day as well as flexible when that schedule had to be tweaked majorly just a few days before. She was so comfortable with us, and helped my husband have great pictures (even though he is usually so awkward in front of the camera). She calmed our nerves, made us laugh, and even let us dance it out! She was so willing to always be there with a smile on her face doing what she loves - AND IT SHOWS! I can't help but look at our pictures every day and smile. They bring back such great memories of a perfect day! Marissa and her second shooter (her lovely fiancé) were so professional - and have an amazing eye for all things wedding! Also - she is SO fast with getting you highlights and even our full wedding album! We were expecting it to take at least two months, but they were ready in just one!! I could seriously go on and on about how much Marissa Merrill is the best wedding photographer!! If I had to redo my wedding, I would choose Marissa time and time again!!

I'm really glad that Marissa took the pictures for our wedding. All the photos look amazing! She definitely has the eye for the best angle. I also love how she could capture the candid moments. And the best of all, she is really easy to work with, she was very attentive throughout the whole wedding prep as well as on the big day.
