She was able to rework her entire photo schedule/plan with us three days before, she met us at the new getting ready site and our new ceremony AND reception site. She was extremely supportive of us throughout the week as we dealt with the stress and disappointment of having to change our entire day. She is just an angel to work with and we LOVE our photos!

My husband and I are not used to being in front of a camera and didn't have any poses or skills up our sleeves, but with Marissa's relaxed but specific guidance, we felt completely at ease; and were rewarded with photographs that would have been impossible to achieve had we gone with another photographer. She has such a calm demeanor; which on a day that can be stressful and crazy was a breath of fresh air. Communicating with her prior to the wedding and day of was incredibly easy - she was always very prompt getting back to any questions we had. In addition to beautiful portraits, I was also delighted to see photos of styling elements/ decor, candid shots of guests and location shots - many things I didn't get a chance to take in on the day, but am so thankful they were captured by Marissa's artful eye! We'll treasure these photos forever!

via social media and she was incredible. In just one hour she was able to capture our love in the most natural way. Despite never meeting her before it felt like we had known her forever. Our pictures came out so beautiful that we asked her to be our wedding photographer! She flew all the way to Maine and went above and beyond all of our expectations. She captured our wedding in a way that I didn’t even know was possible. It was a fairy tale and she made all my dreams come true. I would recommend Marissa to everyone and anyone! Of course now I wish she lived closer :)

I think that's what sets her photography apart from the rest...the authenticity of the model behind the lens. You can see the confidence in them; she has this way of drawing it out. It's so evident that her passion is to capture the real, raw, authentic you. It's not about the pose or the "couple goals" picture, it's about YOU and your significant other! I recently did a couple shoot with my boyfriend and I honestly think we fell even more in love that day because it was just so much fun kissing each other and chasing each other and holding each other. We were so focused on our love and chemistry that we didn't even have a second to think twice about how we looked! The "perfect picture" pressure is non existent when shooting with Marissa, but somehow every time I get my gallery back I am blown away, speechless. She seriously has an unmatchable talent. My boyfriend also hates hates haaaates pictures. He always feels so awkward, but when we left our shoot with Marissa he asked when we were doing another one! He was so excited to do it again that he started naming locations he wanted to shoot at. I had never seen him feel so comfortable and confident while modeling, but Marissa truly creates such a comfortable and freeing atmosphere that all you focus on is the love and excitement between you and the love of your life. On top of her being the most delightful human, Marissa's natural eye for the little details in photography; such as the angles, natural light, and editing, is remarkable. She also laid in sand/dirt to get a perfect shot for us, so you can add committed to the list of "Why Marissa Is The Perfect Photographer". Marissa's edits are hands down my favorite. I've watched her edit a gallery before and she is truly so attentive to the details of the photos and the edits. She invests so much time in your photos even after the shoot. She goes above and beyond to give you the photos of a lifetime that will last you a lifetime. Her authenticity is so rare, and it's so refreshing! Honestly, I could write a novel about how insanely humble, sweet, and talented Marissa is, but sadly there's a word count on these reviews haha. Point blank, Marissa is the gem of a photographer that truly cares about you and your special moments, more than any monetary gain, and that is a rare characteristic to find these days. Her talent and her soul is unmatchable, your only regret will be that you hadn't found her sooner. xo
