t was AMAZING! Literally so fun, so stunning. We saved a lot of money compared to other friends or family and truly we had a wedding no one else even came close to.
We did get engaged January 2020 and always planned for Sept 2021 so the planning process with the venue itself was not easy, but we hired Belle Terre events to help and Sam M was so helpful.
The venue itself is literally just a venue, so do not expect a planner or even a coordinator really - they had some transition while we were engaged and I think it was just a lot of adjustment from the pandemic. But being in the museum itself was so cool and the event was spectacular. You cannot beat those views.
Just know, if you have a wedding here - you need to build it out yourself. But that is part of the magic!

e were supporting a Maritime Museum with an important mission of environmental stewardship (vs a big hotel or feeding into the wedding industrial complex). Sarah and the staff were incredibly helpful and a pleasure to work with. The space was affordable and we also had a lot of flexibility when it came to vendors, catering, bartender etc. I am so happy we went with Maritime Gloucester!

e wanted to choose, and the setting was gorgeous. We were able to bring our own caterers and alcohol, which helped our budget a lot. Very affordable and memorable.
