About this vendor
Extraordinarily elegant san diego waterfront weddings and receptions. The lovely 1898 Berkeley ferryboat, gracing San Diego Bay with her turn-of-the-century charm and ambiance is available for weddings and receptions. She has two open-air decks, offering your choice of downtown skyline or sunset views of the harbor. Her Ladies’ deck and dance floor are also crowned with Victorian styled stained glass windows, softly backlit after dark. The ferryboat is an excellent site for both weddings and receptions, offering a full array of services from your ceremony to your bon voyage. The museum provides an event coordinator to assist with the planning and preparation of your special event.

I was absolutely please with this site as our wedding reception venue! (We had a separate ceremony site that was already chosen and special to us but it is possible to have the cer...
emony at this site too) The boat, which is permanently docked was absolutely gorgeous, especially when lit up at night and so unique; I couldn't have been happier! :) It definitely isn't the traditional hotel ballroom with round tables and all but that was exactly what I liked about it :) We worked with Jim there and he was great about being concerned that the schedule went well and thing went as we wanted them to. :) Just a forewarning, from the outside the boat doesn't look like much but take a look inside before discounting it. A downside of this venue is parking availability because it is right along the harbor downtown San Diego. Another downside is that all outside vendors must be approved by the museum and you also must use their bar services if that is something you are looking to have. Basically just go and have a consult with Jim or someone else there to see if this venue will be right for you but Overall, I still would highly recommend it!!! (Also just to note - we had a photobooth that was a HUGE hit and I would highly recommend this too :) )
