Mark is awesome!! We hired Mark Greel and his band to perform "light background" music at our welcome reception on 11/11/16 down the cape. What we thought was going to be a low key cocktail party turned into the ultimate dance party. His band had everyone on the dance floor all evening and we even extended our reception one hour because we didn't want the party to ever end. He provided us with an extensive song list but ultimately ended up playing what the crowd was responding to and we are grateful for that. He was easy to work with and we were completely blown away. Hire Mark if you want your entire party on the dance floor all night.

We got married at the Chanler in Newport, RI which doesn't allow amplification. This was not an issue for Mark & the band. The acoustics worked in their favor & it actually sounded like they were amplified. They are a very entertaining band & know when to be subtle. Hard working, reasonably priced, easy to communicate with & great music! We also saw them on a Boston harbor cruise (the Odyssey) & they had the whole crowd on the dance floor there as well. Our guests had a great time & still talk about the band a year later. I think we paid $4510 for 5 band members plus the cost of renting a piano & a generous tip for working so hard in the heat & dealing with no amplification.

We chose the Mark Greel band without ever hearing them play live based soley on recommendations and reviews. They did not dissappoint. They arrived and took less than 5 minutes to set up their equipment. They will accept song lists but they prefer to play songs based on the crowd. Guests were up dancing from the start of dinner and didn't clear the floor until the party was over. Mark Greel and his band were true professionals and delivered an excellent performance.;You may be wasting money on main courses because guests will be up dancing during dinner.
