Mark was a true professional, he knows exactly how to get a party going! He allows for a lot of input from the Bride and Groom, however he also finds a balance to get everyone on the dance floor. Our wedding music was so fun, we got so many comments on how it was the most fun wedding people of have been to in a long time. So many guests stayed until the very end of the night.

Mark exceeded all our expectations for our wedding. Kept the dance floor full for 5+ hours, adjusted our music genre to the people who stayed late, was very responsive and was completely on top of everything. He made suggestions on how to move things along smoothly and was very flexible. Multiple people made comments at our wedding about how great Mark was. We 100% made the right choice going with Mark and would do it again in a heart beat.

Mark played such an important and positive role throughout our wedding day, going far beyond traditional DJ services. Our wedding venue was a barn with lots of open spaces, requiring Mark to set up and tear down equipment in multiple locations throughout the day. Luckily, he knew the venue and owners so well because of his years of experience. Mark listened to our favorite artists and curated a playlist that was full of songs we enjoyed. His audio was crystal clear throughout the ceremony. He stayed in close contact with our day-of coordinator throughout the ceremony and reception, helping to make sure everything ran smoothly. We cannot recommend Mark enough, such a great guy with kick-butt DJ skills!

Mark was an excellent DJ throughout the process. We were changing details of the soundtrack for the ceremony, the order/roster of people giving toasts, and requests songs are the reception until quite literally 3 hours before the wedding started. We also had a fairly non-standard ceremony with multiple music cues that he easily coordinated with us and our officiant. Mark was incredibly adaptable and perfectly executed all of the last minute changes, in addition to being friendly, personable, and overall a joy to work with.

We had the pleasure of having Mark DJ our wedding and he was an absolute pro through the entire process. He worked with us ahead of time to make sure the dance was the exact kind of party we wanted and then had the dance floor rocking all night. DJ Collin did an amazing job at our wedding! The music was spot on and kept the dance floor going all night. So many of our guests commented on how much fun our DJs (Collin and Sam) were at our wedding and asked for their information. I would highly recommend!

DJ Josh Berwald kept the party going all night long! He amped up the guests little by little until everyone was out on the dance floor sweating and singing along. He not only showed up big time for our wedding but by also helping us mashup songs for our first dance.

The best DJ and Officiant we could ask for! Mark was professional, FUN, kind, prepared, and brought the energy to our wedding ceremony and reception. When considering a DJ, knowing who we were hiring was important to us as opposed to hiring a company without knowing WHO your actual DJ will be. Mark was alongside us in the planning process and supported us during some tough life events that happened during our engagement. We could not have asked for a better DJ!! Mark came highly recommended from one of our other vendors and I see why! Mark is very responsive, personable and professional. Mark had never been to our venue before but he arrived early to make sure everything was set up and ready to go. From ceremony to the reception, the night ran so smoothly and we never once had to stress or worry about the music, and Mark kept the dance floor buzzing! I don't think we could have asked for more in a DJ than what we got from Mark. Mark DJ'd our ceremony and reception as well as acted as master of ceremonies. Mark is easy to work with, prompt, and courteous. He made it easy for us to assemble a playlist, took lots of requests from our guests, and worked well with the other wedding personnel.

You know you have a good DJ when people give kind compliments about the great dancing and music at your wedding reception and in the weeks afterward. But seriously—we got married 8 months ago and the comments haven't stopped. We've heard "of all the weddings we went to last year, yours had the best dancing and music!" We'll even be at other people's weddings and our friends will say, "This DJ is pretty good but your wedding DJ was GREAT". And we feel the same way! If you want a DJ who will please everyone, read the room, and have an absolute blast doing it, Mark is your guy. After a pandemic apart, I really wanted great memories of dancing with our friends at our wedding, and Mark absolutely delivered. We were especially impressed when he took inspiration from our lovingly curated pre-ceremomy and cocktail hour playlists to create a perfectly varied dinner playlist of music we hadn't requested but absolutely loved. If you're not sure if hiring an experienced DJ is worth it, let me assure you that it is. (Is there anything more of a let down than being excited to dance at a wedding only to be disappointed by a mediocre DJ who is phoning it in and can't seem to play anything people actually want to dance to?) All this to say, you can't go wrong with Mark Haugen as your DJ. Thanks, Mark, for being such an important part of the memories we made on our wedding day!

My (new) wife knew Mark from college, so of course he got first shot. After meeting with him for a just few minutes, we agreed he was the one we trusted to rock our reception - and rock it he did! He was a great help planning the event and choosing the right songs -- then playing them at the right times, and giving all the right prompts to keep people happy and moving! Mark really knows how to keep a party going! We had about 80 people at our wedding and I admit I was nervous people wouldn't dance, yet, the dance floor was NEVER empty. Mark knew just how to keep the energy high. He also had great ideas for ringing in the new year. Also, I heard from all the other people involved with the sound and lighting for our wedding how professional and impressive He was. I cannot recommend him enough.

Mark is the BEST. We needed all the help we could get when choosing our ceremony, social hour, and reception playlists. We asked for instrumental music for the ceremony and social hour then reception music that will keep our guests on the dance floor plus an emphasis on 90's country. Mark more than delivered. Hands down the best DJ ever! Mark spends time with the couple to really get to know them! Everyone that came to the wedding made comments of how wonderful our DJ was. He went around and asked guests what they wanted to hear! My Photographer said she has never seen that many people on the dance floor for so long as she did! Wow! Our wedding day was absolutely PERFECT and much of that is due to the man himself- Mark Haugen! Amazing! From the moment we met Mark, we knew he was the DJ for us. He was great to work with leading up to the event, and come wedding day he blew us away. Everything ran so smoothly, the dance floor had great energy, and everyone we talked to mentioned what an incredible time it was. He has a gift at reading the room, feeling where the party was at, and his enthusiasm is infectious. I cannot recommend him enough!

I knew I wanted a wedding DJ who could keep the evening and our dance moving, and Mark absolutely nailed it at my wedding a couple years ago. We made the first portion of our dance a swing dance, complete with a short lesson taught by a bridesmaid/groomsman, and Mark was 100% prepared to make it happen for us. After our swing dance, Mark kept our dance floor busy and we (and our guests) had the best time. I'm also a wedding photographer, and have had the joy of working with Mark as a vendor with shared wedding clients after my wedding. We've probably worked about a dozen weddings together. I have never seen an empty dance floor when he's behind the table. He is also communicative with his clients and their other vendors, ensuring a smooth event. He has my highest recommendation!

My husband and I got married 6 weeks ago, and Mark was the DJ for our wedding. He was recommended to us by our photographer, and ended up being absolutely fantastic to work with! One thing that stood out to us about Mark compared with the other DJs we met with was his willingness to tailor himself and his services to our wedding in particular. My husband and I were together over 14 years before finally getting married, so we have a lot of old photos of us together from high school, etc. Something that was really important to us was to put together a slide show with all these old photos that we could show at our wedding. Most DJs were not willing to touch a slide show with a 10-foot pole (because of all of the technical difficulties that can arise and all the different ways it can go wrong). But Mark happily rose to the challenge and made sure we had everything we needed to show our slide show! Before our wedding, Mark was SO helpful with all of the planning. We had multiple phone calls with him to talk through the details of our day ahead so we would all be on the same page, which was very reassuring. He also put up with loads of text messages from me throughout the planning process with random little questions. And he was always SUPER nice and friendly every single time we talked to him! I truly enjoyed and will miss our phone calls with Mark. On our wedding day, Mark was nothing short of incredible. He arrived about 3 hours early and was super prepared and organized. And he was fantastic at both aspects of his job: DJ and MC. As our DJ, he acted as a human algorithm, taking a short list of songs we had given him that we like and predicting from that other songs we would like! The music was seamless between songs we had specifically asked him to play and songs he chose on his own. And he didn’t just play songs WE would like; he played songs that were a huge hit with all of our guests! As our MC, Mark found the perfect balance between narrating to keep our evening on track and blending into the background to let things happen naturally. He was fun and full of energy, but also didn’t try to steal the spotlight at all. He was everything any couple could ever want in a DJ/MC! But the best thing about Mark is his willingness to adapt. He’s like a chameleon: he will blend in to whatever kind of party you want to throw. My husband and I (and most of our friends and family) are not big party animals. We had a small wedding (about 80 people) and it was a pretty mellow group. We were in kind of a tough position because, on the one hand, we were a little nervous people wouldn’t dance and wanted people to have fun at our wedding, but on the other hand, we didn’t want it to turn into a crazy rave or anything. Haha! Mark was so great at finding that happy medium for us. He actually managed to get all of our guests out onto the dance floor (even my 89 year old grandmother!) and it felt like a super fun party, even though it was a pretty small wedding. But he also didn’t push too hard, which we appreciated. The dancing fizzled out about 30 minutes early as most people went home and some of our closest friends went to sit around the bonfire outside. Instead of pushing people to come back inside and dance more, Mark played one or two more of our favorite songs and then called it a night. And that was the perfect end to our perfect day!

We went to two wedding fairs, and talked to just about every DJ/company in the Twin Cities area- knowing we wanted a full service DJ that would run the ceremony, host the reception, and curate a killer dance party. We did deeper research on a few, and consulted with our vendors on who they had seen to be great DJs at the past weddings they have worked. Mark Haugen DJ was the hands-down, top recommendation from our photographer. We knew it was going well when their standard was to offer everything we needed, without nickel and diming for also running the ceremony, for uplights, number of hours, or any number of things. DJ Mark Haugen offered all of these things as standard items, and their prices were straightforward. We worked with DJ Joshua for our wedding, and met with him twice before the big day- once before booking and once a month or so before the big day. Joshua is so very attentive, professional, and understands what you are looking for. He provided the dance party that never stopped, arrived with plenty of time to set up, understand the venue, and get the lay of the land, and was a consummate professional (even when the air-conditioning was out in the venue!). Mark and Joshua were so wonderful throughout the entire process- work with them! :)

Mark is the best of the best! He has done a number of our family and friends weddings. At this point Mark is family and he treats you like that as well!

I would highly Mark Haugen DJ for a wedding! Mark was our wedding DJ, and we couldn’t be happier with the amazing job he did. Mark is super fun and also super aware of everything that was going on at the reception. Mark was tuned into everyone’s needs and he took great care of me and my husband our families. He kept the dance floor rocking all night. He created such a fun atmosphere- with songs for couples liked- classic hits to slow dance to, and fun dance songs that the kids got into.. Our heart rates were up all night dancing, and I had so much fun enjoying the evening dancing with my husband. And at the same time Mark was really thoughtful about taking care of all of the family members. My dad mentioned how much he appreciated the fact that Mark took the time to explain the order of the toasts and give him updates throughout the reception about the order of what would be happening, so my dad knew the timing of his toast after dinner. Mark was a great master of ceremonies, coordinating and helping everything go smoothly We took speed photos with all the tables during one song, and Mark did a great job letting everyone know what to do and also keeping the fun and energy level high. Mark is a wonderful DJ for a great party atmosphere and also facilitating sweet, meaningful moments connecting with family- from toasts and intros to the first dance and our farewell last dance. Mark went above and beyond all night: he took little wedding videos, which I did not even expect, but he sent us very sweet little shots of our first dance together and being presented as husband and wife at the reception. He captured such a special memories for my husband and me. We would highly recommend Mark Haugen DJ! He is a great DJ- thoughtful, creative, he loves music, and knows all kinds of different varieties and styles. He played special requested songs of French music for me, and he made dedications. He is such a great guy. Highly recommend Mark for any occasion, especially a wedding.

Mark was outstanding to have as a DJ. We were in between an outdoor or indoor ceremony because of the weather and he set-up to accommodate both locations and even dealt with a little rain while we were outside. He was so easy to work with and did an incredible job. Everyone loved being on the dance floor! I would highly recommend Mark!

Until we met Mark Haugen, the only stories we’d heard about wedding DJs were horror stories. DJs that couples didn’t meet until the day of the wedding, DJs that played songs specifically on the “do not play list” and DJs that lacked personality – basically an iPod with a pulse. Enter DJ Mark Haugen! Professional, pumped about life and out to make sure everyone has a good time. We knew from the first time we met Mark that we were in for a treat. He listened to what we wanted and the day of the wedding played all of the songs we hoped to hear, and none of the ones we didn’t! He even introduced himself to all of the key players (F/MOB and F/MOG, wedding party, etc) so they knew who he was if they had questions. And most of all, he kept the dance floor packed all night. I can’t tell you in the time since our wedding how many people have told us how awesome Mark was! I would recommend him or any of the other DJs with the company to anyone who wants to make sure their party is a blast!

Mark was fantastic to work with and very skilled as an MC and DJ. He handled announcements and kept the dance floor moving all night long! Mark was also a great guy to work with who had a great vision and always seemed excited with the music details. In addition to DJ-ing our reception, Mark handled all of the sound for our ceremony, which was on the rooftop terrace of the Walker Art Center. The open space, traffic noise and wind could have been challenging, but the sound was all flawless. From our officiant to our vows, every word was clear. For the reception, Mark had great presence and did a great job of getting the room amped up for our entrance and first dance. He was also great at introducing all of the toasts and keeping us on schedule. When it was time for the dance to start, he opened strong and kept the energy WAY up all night, paying great attention to our preferences and doing an amazing job of reading the crowd! I'm so glad we chose Mark and would highly recommend working with him!

Mark was definitely one of the reasons our wedding was such a fun and perfect day! He is so easy to work with and to get along with. During our reception he did a great job of keeping things running smoothly by working with our caterer, speaking with our family members who were giving speeches, and keeping everyone on the dance floor all night! Several of our guests commented on how fun our dance was and one guest said, "I would go to sit down at the table but then the DJ would play another great song and I had to get back on the dance floor!" Mark was not available on our wedding date, but he set us up with his associate Josh who was FANTASTIC to work with. Josh definitely got the dance floor going! He was very flexible throughout the planning process and also with minor timing/detail changes the night of. I can't even think of the right words to describe how satisfied we were with Mark's DJ services for our wedding! To say he was awesome is an understatement. We met with Mark and were instantly comfortable and confident that he was the perfect choice but I was still blown away with how wonderful the evening was with his music selection. Mark was AWESOME! He took the time to get to know us as a couple and pinpoint the songs that we would love to dance to at our reception. He made sure he had the non-mainstream songs that we liked, including our first dance song. He even shortened our father/daughter, mother/son dances (per our request) in a way that you didn't even notice he had done so. Mark kept the reception on schedule so that I didn't have to and he kept the dance floor alive!
