We would have loved to have him shoot our wedding as well but unfortunately Michigan (where we had our wedding) is a bit far from Kona. If you are looking for a photographer on the Big Island, I highly recommend Mark!

ntire process Mark was very responsive and helpful with any questions that we had. My husband and I are introverts and really don't like having photos taken or being in front of crowds. However, Mark did such an excellent job at helping guide us through the process that it felt so nice and natural to have all of our photos taken! He was good at helping with my family and friends relax and laugh together during our group photos. My family and friends cannot stop raving over the quality of his photos, everyone tells me it looks like it's straight out of a movie or a photoshoot! We're so happy that we went with Mark as our photographer, and definitely recommend him to any couple planning a destination wedding in Hawaii.

Our wedding day was so much fun, and Mark made sure to capture all the great moments. He made the formal portraits fun for us, our families, and our entire wedding party. Looking through the photos he captured on our special day really makes me glad we decided to work with Mark. His creativity and ability to make us comfortable in front of the camera really show in the beautiful pictures he captured. On the day of our wedding, he showed up, was very cheery and incredible to work with. After being BLOWN away with how magical he made everything look, we also noticed he ran around the entire wedding complex without being noticed to get every shot possible! Scheduling was easy, simple as a phone call. For the actual photo session, he had great suggestions and made the whole experience pretty painless and eliminated a lot of the awkwardness that comes from posing for photos through his humor. Finally, after it was over, and we received a teaser of photos, we were both very pleased with the quality, the lighting, the colors, the poses, everything. They were all great. When we received access to the full gallery, it was more of Mark's greatness. I'd highly recommend him and will use him again should we return to the Big Island.

Our wedding planner highly recommended Mark and we looked through lots of photographer’s website portfolios and their online ratings before selecting him. Mark's portfolio stood out for his quality, composition, light, color and authenticity of his work. He was prompt and professional in responding to our emails and organizing the event. During the ceremony, he was super nice, energetic and fun. He turned around the images in just over 3 weeks (half the time estimated). He is a gifted artist and the pictures he provided are gorgeous and amazing, better than we ever dreamed.
