MarkE went the extra mile to capture beautiful shots of our pandemic wedding. Before COVID-19 hit, we were about to sign our photography contract for a 6 hour event including a church ceremony and 200-person dance reception. We had to scrap our big plans, but MarkE was incredibly flexible and encouraging as we found a way to have a ceremony with only immediate family and a small picnic afterward instead. He captured all the spontaneous moments that made this intimate wedding so special and he was able to take some lovely socially distant group shots. We were impressed with his professionalism, flexibility, and expertise. He communicated very clearly with us, which was crucial as the state guidelines for allowing gatherings were changing every week leading up to our wedding. He made us feel relaxed and confident, arriving early and staying to the end. He focused on what he knew was important to us as a couple and what was unique about our circumstances, like our "first dance" in the parking lot after the ceremony, and the chalk art that our friends had drawn for us. His attention to detail was key; for example, on a 92 degree summer afternoon, he let us know when beading sweat needed wiping, or when we needed to adjust for bright sun and shadows. He got us our digital files within a week. We felt so beautiful as soon as we opened our photos! My wife had been nervous because she hadn't been able to get any help with hair or make-up on the wedding day, but the photos really showed all of the beauty and emotion of that day. In the end, we wouldn't have had it any other way. We are so happy we have these beautiful photos to look back on, and we look forward to working with MarkE again when we are finally able to host a reception.
