Market on River

We just had my wedding reception here on 9/11. First of all, Jackie is amazing. She was so kind, thoughtful & patient. The price for venue rental is amazing (obviously this may change as they get more popular, so act fast!). Holds 150 people. Parking lot is small, but she has a map for parking and there were plenty of places for people to find a spot. There’s a cool rooftop! We took wedding pictures up there so I will have to post those when I get them back. Included in the venue rental was a one night stay in their Airbnb, tables/linens/chairs, the minimum for drinks was so cheap, it literally can’t be beat. They had bar staff included as well & we did a signature drink for the guests with a cash bar as well. I loved the different rooms for dining, dancing, food/buffet, & then I even had a small room for my tarot card reader to use for some privacy! This probably varies, but we were able to get in on Wednesday evening to start setting up the dining area, & then Thursday we were able to come in & finish the rest after any other events they had. They set up all the tables & added anything we last minute requested. This was huge because I know a lot of venues you have to set up the day of which would seriously have been hard 😅 then we didn’t have to be out of the venue until 10am the next day, out of Airbnb by 11am. Again, that may not always be the case! We did clean up the night prior however, since we had to be done by 11pm (they have residents upstairs) and we had lots of help so it made sense. At first I wasn’t sure I liked the “curfew” time, but the party simmered down & 11pm was just fine to end the party. We could have went downtown to a bar to keep it going if we wanted! I don’t think people do weddings like they used to 🤷‍♀️ We planned to do karaoke which didn’t end up happening but they had a tv & microphones with a nice sound system. We also did not have a DJ but I had playlists made and had a friend announce when we needed guests attention, and switch to a few special songs. An added bonus was during set up the days prior, we had pizza & Valley Burger downstairs to fuel us! I actually hadn’t even seen MOR before booking but was so impressed! I love the space and how cool and unique it is. I am so happy with our choice and am sad I now have no excuse to work with Jackie anymore lol. I’ll definitely be returning to shop downstairs and check out some of their events, and definitely have to try more food options! Market on River is the perfect venue for a memorable, intimate, relaxed wedding experience. There are separate rooms for food setup, dinner, and the dance as well as supplied bars, alcohol, staff, tables, linens, and gorgeous Airbnb rooms for the weekend of the wedding. Jackie was always quick to respond to emails and very accommodating to meet with us and help make our day all we imagined it would be. The rooftop patio area was a big hit with our guests for a moment away from the festivities. The location was easy to find and conveniently located just around the corner from a hotel many of our guests utilized. We had endless compliments on our choice of venue and would book again in a heartbeat!
