Even though I was nervous about possible rain, she came with a back up plan in mind, (we didn't end up needing to use it) and she got all our photos back so quickly. She has a warm and comforting energy about her which makes having her around feel incredibly natural. She just blends right in which gives her the opportunity to capture raw emotions in so many authentic unscripted moments. I really love those photos- the one of my dad crying, my mom celebrating after the ceremony, my 90 year old Poppy dancing with glow sticks, and even myself and the groom shooting our typical goofy looks at each other. Mid wedding planning my beloved Scottish terrier got a terminal cancer diagnosis and I reached out to Markie about taking our photos. She was so understanding and quickly made room in her schedule for our engagement session. It was bittersweet and impromptu plus the middle of winter but with Markie’s talent you would never know it. I literally could go and on about how awesome Markie is. I just can’t wait for her to capture our next milestone.

I am not the biggest fan of a lot of detail shots typically, but Markie's are truly beautiful. It blows my mind how she captured my bouquet, shoes, and rings in the images I received back versus the limited space/time she had to photograph details. If you are looking at photographers, Markie is your girl! She is so knowledgeable about her art, has wonderful package options, is wonderfully personable, and will go above and beyond to ensure that her couples are happy.

arkie is simply amazing and has the sweetest spirit and most genuine and cheerful personality ever! Her creativity never ceases to amaze me. She knew everything about the venues before the photo shoots, wedding/reception because she visited before the day of and spent time looking around for the perfect settings that would capture our treasured memories. This girl will NOT disappoint! She is that sparkling diamond found hidden in the sand.
